This is really great. Wouldn't have thought that it was that cheap. In respect of drives. There is a major technical difference. There is the old but fast CMR and the newer but mostly slower SMR technology. SMR has only comparable write speeds if not too many data are written in a short time. Read speeds are no problem. Really great designs. I never saw anything like this. There is for sure a market for this. I have a bigger PC too but there is nothing to see because everywhere are dust filters - I hate cleaning it... But nowadays I don't use it much anymore. The mayor knows for sure that unfortunately targeting such people is the greatest fun. The mayor should make zones to protect such people. Words will not be enough. Unfortunately bars in Pattaya are in very many places and they don't care much about others when it comes to water or noise. Just asking will not be enough.

Obviously there are no real consequences otherwise the people would be more careful - perhaps they will lose their water guns but that is it then. The same is true for motorbike rental shops. Giving it to customers without driving licence - happens again and again. Thailand has many good laws but often with little enforcement.

I will tell you what often happens when a Baht bus stops in front of a bar - and there are always traffic jams on Soi Buakhao. They will often throw (ice) water with buckets at the people sitting in the back. They will be completely wet.

Soi Bukhao is a good example of why the government shouldn't allow this everywhere. They've built a lot of new bars there in the last few months. Lots of people unrelated to bars have to use this Soi. It will be impossible not to get completely wet unless you are in a car.

Pattaya always starts early. Incorrect - the bars always start early. In areas without bars there is usually no water problem. It's kind of frustrating for a lot of people living here that the bars can annoy everyone with water and noise. Also, selling alcohol 24 hours is no problem for them. If you walk for example into a 7-Eleven next to a bar, you will only be able to buy alcohol during the few hours the law allows.

I got the reminder today - six days before the due date. But I did my online reporting some days ago already.

Here at my condo complex it got very empty during the last days. Most people who stay here in winter fly back home before this madness starts.

It would be interesting to know who benefits from this water madness. I guess only the by the local government so much loved bars. Many people leave Pattaya or don't visit it during this time. Many people who live here stay at home. I for myself for instance will not go shopping or eating during this time. Who wants to get wet and be in air-conditioned rooms with wet clothes?! I will not even use a Baht bus. Whenever this stops next to a bar you risk that quality tourists pour buckets of water over you. It is a shame that bars and their customers can do what they want. But it is the same with their noise at night. It is bad here in Pattaya. A place for "quality" tourists.

You are right. But on the other hand who will enforce it?! Does anyone care if they have a licence at all? The same with entertainment venues and many other businesses.

I don't know how fit you are with routers. Can you login? If not we do this tomorrow. I am busy today. But if you can login then select like shown in the first picture DSL Modem Router Mode and save. Then got to Network WAN Settings - see 2nd picture. If there is an entry then go to edit on the right side. If there is no entry then click on add. Just looked again... It is easier for you if you delete an existing entry and add a completely new one. Now you should see the last picture. Enter/select everything like there. The red is your 3BB User and there is also the 3BB password. You find this in your 3BB documents. If everything is correct then press save and then try to connect this router to the phone line. If there are still problems I will have time tomorrow again.

I have both routers and I think I set up long time ago the TP-Link that it works with 3BB. I will check in the evening because I have to go somewhere now. Will report then here my results. But if you have the 3BB user and password normally no problem. It is in your contract..
