Pope Francis says homosexuality is not a crime in a new interview
Doctor Tom replied to Scott's topic in World News
I often miss the point where religions are concerned, especially the Catholic Church, mainly because there is no point to them. They damage humanity at almost every turn and the supposed 'good' that they do is swamped by that damage. Stephen Fry puts it far better than I ever could in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDsrEpv9nmM -

But he did say that it was a 'sin'. A sin against whom exactly, the mythical creature that these deluded people believe in? Surely if there was to be a God (there isn't of course) then he invented gayness, so it can't possibly be a 'sin', or is that too logical for these religious misfits? Never trust a celibate in a dress who wears red shoes and goes on to state that being gay is a sin. -
These 'human interest stories' normally leave me cold. There often turns out to be something odd, criminal, or just not quite authentic about them. Here, the back story, if we ever get to know, may turn out to be of more interest than the trash collecting one, or at least more entertaining. But as you say, up to him.

Get a new agent quote each year is my advice. Like all entities here, loyalty to one provider, or agent, is taken as weakness and eventually they try to rip you off. Construction and repair companies are particularly probe to doing this, so are agents.

Worst Joke Ever 2025

Its more like a holiday in the wet lands to one in the desert. -
My understanding is that it is not that easy if they are not married. Others may have a call on that cash and the banks may not be so amenable to part with it. Marriage, with a legal certificate, is the only real guarantee. That at least is my understanding. That is also a protection if both die together, say in a car crash, then a will is needed to resolve that situation, especially if the funds in that scenario, are to go to the farangs foreign family. .

Please stop mixing Taiwanese with Mainland Chinese. Despite what the criminal bullies in Beijing would have everyone believe, they are two separate countries, with two separate cultural identities and separate manners and education. There is a World of difference between them. One are very acceptable tourists, the others are not.

Policemen ‘Using Free Time To Escort Chinese Tourist’
Doctor Tom replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Wow, a Thai that trusts the Police. You are a rare breed indeed, in fact I have never met one Thai person who shares that view and I have lived here for a good many years . -

HaHa, yep, the Police are honest to a fault and entirely trustworthy. It's you that needs to understand my friend. -

and so marking yourself and your house as a target, not a clever idea at all. -
All that post for a reported runny nose? Too many people around here seem to be in fear of their lives, or hypochondriacs, or more likely a combination of both. I still can't really believe that the OP posted because of a runny nose. If I had let my 3 kids off school, or taken to the doctor, for a runny nose, before I had taken steps in self medication, I would rightly have been criticized by that same doctor.
-
For a runny nose, come on Sheryl, its not exactly unusual at this time of year and is usually dust, due to the unusually low humidity and dry atmosphere, or, despite what the OP says, Hay Fever. We don't need to run to a specialist for every little thing. A low level antihistamine, available from all Pharmacies, would be a good first step, ENT, the last step.

use a tissue, its not exactly unusual

Authentic American Diner in Pattaya - Tigglebitties
Doctor Tom replied to Social Media's topic in Pattaya
What a stupidly ignorant post. I lived in Boston. It was written as a light hearted commentary, as all the posts were on the subject, which obviously passed you by, as it often does for people who just have some kind of axe to grind and with people who can't really understand what is being written. Don't guess anything about me mate, as you will be wrong ever time. -

Doctor Tom replied to Social Media's topic in Pattaya
Sounds good to me, but I was led to believe that authentic American food is Italian? Certainty in Boston and California, . where I spend some time, that seemed to be the choice of most discerning people, but Greek or Mexican were joint second place.. -

Thats what appropriation means. So do tell me, what is totally, uniquely American cuisine. and don't say Mexican, which is just that, Mexican? Am I wrong in thinking its burgers, ribs, fries, pancakes, donuts and syrup? Its not a coincidence that McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, and Dunkin Donuts all come from the US. Hardly high end dining is it? -

Lots wrong with your reply. Where did I say it was garbage? Each to his own taste. Since when is Mexican food American? Have the US appropriated their excellent cuisine too? From the ads I see on the NFL game nights, ( and the ads are almost exclusively about food, or trucks, or using your truck to get food) its all about sugar, syrup, burgers, fries, wedges, massive calorie meals, unnecessarily large portions and absolutely no style/subtlety whatsoever. But maybe I'm mistaken? -

Why would I ever want them to deliver to me any American cuisine? I cook myself thanks, I don't need delivered food, especially that type. -

So its Mexican, which last time I looked, is not in the US? Perhaps they are talking land mass rather than country. -

Yes, its odd isn't it? Any establishment marketing itself as 'authentic American' is to be avoided at all costs, at least by me.
