Well Yea! But the lord wasn't too good when he made an odd ball size tire that doesn't seem to be regular stock
-
One of the our motorcycles is a Vespa LX S125 that had a puncture. The tyre is tubeless so they just put a plug in it. This works on the car but not so well on the bike tyre, as after just a few days the plug came out, or at least the tyre went down again. I suggested instead of using a plug putting a patch on the inside of the tyre, but this means having to remove the wheel to get at the tire so nobody is enthusiastic about it "no need, plug good". Yea! good business for them, getting paid many times for the same puncture. Anyways question is are inside patches available for bike tyres like they are for cars? Please don't say get a new tyre, this one cost almost a thousand baht and is only a couple of months old.

It's good to have a "spring clean" of the workshop sometimes. My problem is that if I find something that I know will be useful, I put it somewhere safe and easily accessible ready for when I need it. The trouble is that when the time comes that I do need it, I remember where I found it but for the life of me can't recall the safe place that I put it, so now can't find it again. It's an age thing -
Didn't realise TOT had changed their name, no wonder I couldn't find any info. Having a quick look at packages available looks what I have seems OK, so guess no point in changing. Anyways interesting to know, Thanks for your help

Just out of interest I'm trying to see what deals and promotions TOT are offering these days. I've been with TOT since way back on dial up and then as now fiber. I pay about 800bhat per month for internet and landline phone connection. Got no problem with their service and speed, just curious if there is a better deal I could be on. Tried their Web page but couldn't find any prices. Thanks.

Is Caroline still going? I remember when it first started. I was a truck driver in those days. Trucks didn't have radios, or even heaters, well mine didn't, so would listen to Caroline on portable tranny. Reception was a bit patchy, but was great round East Anglia area. Good times -
Depends at the time in your life. The years pass and loves come and go, some fade into obscurity but perhaps a precious few memories still linger. My very first, never to be forgotten:- And will forever remember a wonderful magical summer on a Greek island:-

Fluorescent LED strip light upgrade ARRRR!!!!!!
Daffy D replied to Daffy D's topic in The Electrical Forum
Seems like it, BUT...... the original fluorescent had the connecting wires come out from the middle of the fitting while the new LED all seem to come out of the end. Which make life just a little more difficult when working upside down on a ladder. Also obviously more difficult replacing the whole fitting and rewiring the connection block, when up the ladder. Much simpler in the old days where just a half twist would replace the tube. Ah! the good old days -

Agree replacing the fitting and tube in one go should be the easiest, as long as the clips are roughly the same and will fit. The other problem is the variations of light output now available. Recently replaced a tube that was so bright it hurt my eyes . 4000k I think it was, should have had a proper look before buying This is what I'm talking about:- -
Anyone else have problems replacing those fluorescent strip lights with the new LED? Used to be easy to replace a old fluorescent tube, just go and buy and fit. The first replacement of fluorescent to LED is simple enough, just remove the old fitting completely and replace with new LED fitting and tube. The problem comes with replacing the LED tube. Seems simple enough, just like the old fluorescent remove old tube and replace.......... If only These new LED's have got more complicated. There is the choice of various Watt, Lumens and LM factors, on top of which replacement tubes from different manufacturers are not always interchangeable In trying to replace a LED tube in fitting I put up earlier I had one go pop and immediately burnt out and another blew the house fuse, but luckily the tube it's self was undamaged so was able to use it by using the fitting that it came with. So seems the only safe way to use these LED strip light is buy them with complete with fitting and replace the lot each time. What a pain

Cylinder head skimming has nothing to do with wear. Cylinder heads don't wear, they warp from overheating or get pitted from water or exhaust gas leeks, then need to be skimmed, removing a small amount of metal to get it all clean, smooth and perfectly flat surface again. Sometimes in a bad case the top of the block, where the head bolts onto also needs to be skimmed and that is an altogether more complicated job. Skimming gives a ever so slightly increase in compression ratio, but so little as no to be mentionable Barrel, actually the name is cylinder/bore, is where the pistons go up and dawn and they do wear. Fixing that is call a Re-Bore. Warning motor head trivia:- The word "barrel" is usually used by motorheads when referring to carburetors, "its with fitted a 2 barrel Webber" Cylinders can also be referred to as "pots" - "it's got a 6 pot lump (block) with twin 2 barrel Webbers and goes like the clappers"

Why finding alien life in Universe is now 'only a matter of time'

Why finding alien life in Universe is now 'only a matter of time'

Not only is our Earth small in the vastness of the whole Universe, the area we can inhabit on the Earth makes our very existence very vulnerable. We can only exist in the narrow band of atmosphere that surrounds the Earth. We cannot exist under water or higher than a few thousand feet in the air. And what are we doing with this tiny, tiny fraction of livable space? Fighting and destroying our very existence. I sincerely hope the human race becomes extinct before we have the technology and the means to poison other worlds with our "lifeform" -

This narrow-angle color image of the Earth, dubbed 'Pale Blue Dot'. Taken by Voyager 1 distance of more than 4 billion miles from Earth. From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here, that's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there on the mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. A fascinating watch, especially if you remember the aftermath of Sadam Hussains invasion if Kuwait and the wanton destruction left behind as his troops scuttled back home. Lessons of Darkness IMDB Rate 8.0 Lessons of darkness is one of the most captivating, hypnotic experiences I have ever witnessed. I felt like I was in a strange nightmare and in an alien world. The film is almost purely visual; it is breathtakingly shot. It feels more like science fiction than most sci-fi films ever made. Absolutely haunting. This film surveys the disaster of the Kuwaiti oil fields in flames, with little narration and scarcely any interviews. Hell on Earth is presented in such transcendent visions and music that one can only be fascinated by it. Available with subs from 1337X and TGx and probably lots of other places.
