Bank Letter for Immigration (Income method)
Daffy D replied to Daffy D's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for your speedy responses. My bank is SCB and I do believe that the statement code shows overseas transfers, anyway as I mentioned in my original post that account has no other activity than my pension deposits. I will ask the bank to indicate in the letter that thy are overseas transfers just to cover that point twice. I realize not all Immigration offices will accept the combined method but unless I win the lottery this is my only option at the moment. Thank you gents -
For years I have been using the 800K in the bank method for my annual Retirement extension. The day before renewal I go to get bank statement and covering letter for the 800K account to show Immigration. Over the years the 800K in the account has never been touched so never had a problem. This year has ben a bit tricky and looks like I may fall slightly short of the 800K needed for the extension. Thought I might try the combined income method using my pathetic monthly income from UK Government pension, which should cover the shortfall. What kind of letter would I need from the Bank to satisfy Immigration and prove this monthly income? The account for my UK state Pension only has that, nothing else goes on in that account. A years statement print out from that account should prove that the monies come from abroad, but is that enough for Immigration? There's always something more they seem to want. What kind of letter should I ask from the bank? Confirm the transfers arrives every 4 weeks and the monies come from abroad???? Thank you

Rubbish. This does not work even in Farang land certainly won't work here. I remember a case in UK some years back where someone had built a chicken run at the far end of their boundary, away from his house but, as it happens near his Neighbours house. The Neighbour complained of the roosters constant noise till eventually the case ended up in court. Last I remember the case had cost over 50,000 pounds and still had not been resolved. Would have been cheaper to throw some rat poison over the fence.

A really nice movie based on true event and starring Helen Mirren, you just know it's going to be good:- Woman in Gold Maria Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family. Not as heavy as it sounds. Well worth a watch -

A couple of my most favorite westerns:- Hombre - Starring Paul Newman. John Russell, disdained by his "respectable" fellow stagecoach passengers because he was raised by Native Americans, becomes their only hope for survival when they are set upon by outlaws. Ulzana's Raid - Starring Burt Lancaster After fierce war chief Ulzana and a small war party jump the reservation bent on murder and terror, an inexperienced young lieutenant is assigned to track him -

Great series that I really enjoy:- Lost Car Rescue Enjoyable Retro Ride Rescues Many of us car enthusiasts have seen the standard barn finds, junk yard car sleuths, and "will it start" shows. I wondered if this was another of the same ilk. If so it would need something different. Well,, this is quite a bit different. The five principal car hunters are very likable and their methods and actual car finds are fresh and different. In the wild north there are abandoned cars and trucks that are rare with even more rare backstories. It all adds up for good entertainment. Nevermind it seems they often over pay for what looks "rough as a cobb", these forgotten rides get treated like finds from King Tut's tomb! I've never seen a combo like this: spotter plane, PowerWagon wrecker, and semi with a crane lift. The is a show unlike any others I've seen to date. I thought it had all been done and filmed, but I stand corrected. Series 1 and eps 1-4 of series 2 available from TVChaos. Various odd episodes can be found on other sites. -
Visa for child support
Daffy D replied to thairat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm in a similar situation. With the looming possibility of not meeting the future financial requirements at my last yearly retirement extension I asked what are the requirements for a child support visa which I believe only requires 400k in the bank. I was told by the immigration officer, in very annoyed tones, "We cannot, have to go to Bangkok" Obviously having a bad day, but no need to take it out on me Anyway from what I have gleaned on this forum, in addition to the usual home photos you also need photos outside and inside the school, with you, child and teacher as well as a letter from school stating that your child does in fact attend the school. I am trying to avoid the "child support" route as it sems just too much BS, and am currently working out if my UK Government pension used in combination with what's left of the 800k will be enough for the visa. -
