  1. I'm no expert on eclectic vehicles but would guess they need less servicing than a diesel motor The biggest wear on a truck like that would probably be the Tyres. Now if they put on steel wheels to run on a track it would save tire wear and would not even need a driver, think I might be onto something here
  2. Another advantage with the truck is it never needs to stop for charging. In theory it could run 24/7 without stopping for years. Yea! I know all about servicing and replacing parts, but in theory it could.
  3. One of the few movies that I've watched several times, always a good watch
  4. As a follow up to my earlier post:- Don't forget all fresh batch of ladies that come with every new bunch of holiday makers. There will be rich widows, wifes and daughters of all ages all looking for that shipboard romance of their dreams Something for everyone
  5. Not saying it's a new idea, but for a company, at great expense, to convert one of those monster trucks could not have been cheap, Good for them
  6. Whatever the system, kudos to the company for having the idea and investing the time and considerable money in proving the concept Good for them
  7. I would go for it, but only on a regular cruise ship. On a regular cruise ship you have a cabin with ocean view, room service and laundry all included. You have a choice of several restaurants and bars and nightly Entertaiment. Swimming pool, sports and fitness facilities. Medical and dental available and best of all you get a change of passengers every few weeks so never get fed up with the company. What's not to like
  8. Hi "sandyf" This income payment method seems to get more complicated ever time I look at it Pension is paid direct from DWP and there is no other activity in that account except withdraws, so that should make things a little simpler. Pension letter from DWP confirming 4x weekly payments is good idea but guess it would also have to be officially translated Parden my ignorance but what is "credit advice" Cheers
  9. I have the same model for several years. Works well. Had to replace the nylon strimmer string a few time as it wore out, but that's to be expected. Same from Lazada:- https://www.lazada.co.th/products/blackdecker-300-gl300-i355024498.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.16.2019534f72sUaD
  10. A couple of action adventure movies worth a rewatch:- Blood Diamond:- The Mercenaries:- Alternative title:- "Dark of the Sun"
  11. Thanks for your speedy responses. My bank is SCB and I do believe that the statement code shows overseas transfers, anyway as I mentioned in my original post that account has no other activity than my pension deposits. I will ask the bank to indicate in the letter that thy are overseas transfers just to cover that point twice. I realize not all Immigration offices will accept the combined method but unless I win the lottery this is my only option at the moment. Thank you gents
  12. For years I have been using the 800K in the bank method for my annual Retirement extension. The day before renewal I go to get bank statement and covering letter for the 800K account to show Immigration. Over the years the 800K in the account has never been touched so never had a problem. This year has ben a bit tricky and looks like I may fall slightly short of the 800K needed for the extension. Thought I might try the combined income method using my pathetic monthly income from UK Government pension, which should cover the shortfall. What kind of letter would I need from the Bank to satisfy Immigration and prove this monthly income? The account for my UK state Pension only has that, nothing else goes on in that account. A years statement print out from that account should prove that the monies come from abroad, but is that enough for Immigration? There's always something more they seem to want. What kind of letter should I ask from the bank? Confirm the transfers arrives every 4 weeks and the monies come from abroad???? Thank you
  13. Glad you got it sorted, sort of As you say learned something AND got spares I've had worse days
  14. Lots of "How To" on YouTube:- Repair Solar Light If it's never worked, probably a loose wire, just need to get inside an have a look.
  15. Happened to my teenage daughter. A group of boys would hang around a junction where the bikes would have to slow down then harass and touch up the girls. Told her to keep well away from that section of road and use a different route.
  16. Rubbish. This does not work even in Farang land certainly won't work here. I remember a case in UK some years back where someone had built a chicken run at the far end of their boundary, away from his house but, as it happens near his Neighbours house. The Neighbour complained of the roosters constant noise till eventually the case ended up in court. Last I remember the case had cost over 50,000 pounds and still had not been resolved. Would have been cheaper to throw some rat poison over the fence.
  17. I always have to show 1year Bank statement and Book as well as the Bank letter. How does that work with only having Letter and no bank book. ?
  18. I have had similar problems with my USB mouse. Tried everything including 3 new mouses and changing USB port several times. Nothing worked Eventually the problem just went away Seems we are not the only ones with errant mouses:- Mouse behaving badly
  19. A really nice movie based on true event and starring Helen Mirren, you just know it's going to be good:- Woman in Gold Maria Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family. Not as heavy as it sounds. Well worth a watch
