What media player will play all formats on My Smart TV's?
Daffy D replied to giddyup's topic in Audio Visual AV
I use a free program called VidCoder to convert any files that don't play on my Samsung Smart TV. https://vidcoder.net/ There a various settings you can play with but I just use it straight out of the box, so to speak, except reducing the file size and increasing the volume. This great little program can reduce a 20Gb movie file down to 700mb and still be perfectly watchable on my 45in flatscreen. Conversion takes some time but if you set CPU use to 75% you can get on with using the computer just like normal. Or as I do sometimes let it run conversions overnight. -
Ahaaaa!! Conflicting replies Two for color printing and one against My main printing is for Immigration and copies of family ID and house book and things like that. To ensure the inkjet gets regular use and prevent drying out and having clogging problems all the document printing is done in clolor on normal A4 paper. Proper photos, as in photos to keep I print on glossy photo paper using the printer appropriate setting, mostly 6x4 but sometimes can be up to A4, and they look like proper photos as you would get from shop printing.

Cheers, Does seem a desktop will not work these days
-
OK! Understand that, but at any time in the past did you have to activate the wallet, or does it just deducted from the wallet automatically, without any activation?
-
Care to share your secret, how to get the wallet to work on a PC desktop?
-
Shisssss! That may be the problem. Only got a desktop Still doesn't justify all the extra personal information they want.
-
Yes But any gathering of such information should voluntary not compulsory and/or at least have a warning that any information given may be used by third party for marketing purposes.

As I said in the OP all my dealings have been COD. I don't want to complicate things by getting my bank involved OKkkky Erm! being a cynical cautious type I filled all the required fields with not strictly correct information and got to the end without any warnings about missed or incorrect fields. Obviously all the information they already had, name address etc. I kept the same. But even so it would not let me send the form

I've been ordering from Lazada for a few years now, always COD with never a problem. The other day I had to return a faulty item. No problem, item delivered the day after placing order and collected the day after return request, awesome service Anyways, I now have a few hundred baht refund in my Lazada wallet that seems impossible to access. I go to the activate wallet page and get the code to activate that then leads onto another page to confirm my activation, or something like that. This new page wants a lot of personal informaton, that really has nothing to do with buying from Lazada. The page wants stuff like, am Thai or foreign, my ID Number, date of birth, occupation, a lot of personal stuff that has nothing to do with anything to do with buying from Lazada. I'm especially concerned about wanting the ID information. Anyone else have to give up all this information to activate their Lazada wallet ?

Thai power sockets: non switched = not safe?
Daffy D replied to Encid's topic in The Electrical Forum
Nano have outlets with downward facing sockets, where you can use two plugs at the same time. Unfortunately not switched, but guess you can't have everything https://www.lazada.co.th/products/2x4-nano-usb-usb-i2733838174-s9910624047.html? -

These switched power outlets are all well and good, unless wired the wrong way. But, Hey! this is Thailand, what are the chances -

Don't know if this has been mentioned:- TV series coming soon 1923 A Yellowstone origin story The Duttons face a new set of challenges in the early 20th century, including the rise of Western expansion, Prohibition and the Great Depression. With Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, should be quite watchable -
Troubling looking electrical wires, how bad really is it?
Daffy D replied to NorthernRyland's topic in The Electrical Forum
All of the above but also important is to make a "Drip Loop" on the wire going into the shower unit. A drip loop is where you bend down the ingoing wire just below the level of the hole where it goes into the shower unit. The idea is that water that splashes onto any part of the ingoing wire will drip off the loop and not trickle into the unit it's self. A drip loop is good to have on any electrical installation no matter how good the seal may appear to be. -
I recently bought an electric chainsaw from Lazada:- https://www.lazada.co.th/products/aridoo-12-chainsaw-2200w-i3886178793.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.132.4e084eb25DLjOU Never had or used a chainsaw before, and same as "Madam" opted for a mains instead of battery for same reason. Works quite well on most woods but struggles a bit with harder wood like a Mango stump I'm trying to cut out of the ground. The motor does tend to get quite hot when cutting hard wood so I take frequent brakes, at my age it's just a well As mentioned in the other thread you can use just about any oil, I use 40w engine oil which seems to work, it all gets quite oily so must be ok. Happy Cutting

Wasn't that long ago everyone was falling over themselves getting Gas conversions to their cars. Technology can move faster than you think -
Casually browsing through Lazada I stumbled on these US Dollar bills for sale. I know they are fake money "Widely use in Movie prop money, social media advertisements, movie shoots, for the development of our children and parties" But they sure look a bit too authentic to me and I don't think I'd like the local BIB to catch me with a bunch of those in my possession https://www.lazada.co.th/products/520yoswi-100pcs-artifact-full-print-magic-videos-show-off-wealth-bills-dollar-money-prop-i3838590425.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.30.71dc380co6GQ5x

Steel wool would have to be fixed or they'll scratch it out. Perhaps a mix of expanding foam and steel wool. Kitchen scour pads work quite well.
