If he is the perp and the police see it as he is at fault, then of course the family should have justice. What I am thinking about, is what kind of justice they are looking for? Is that to see the German get a sentence and sent to prison? Or is it just that they are looking for economic compensation, like a great payday? If the latter, my recommendation is that they seek to settle it in a civil case.

If not enough, that one can be extended at immigration for 1900 baht. Another viable option is to apply for a tourist visa at Savannakhet or Vientiane. I can agree with that an assumption that somebody smoking marijuana get aggressive and have hallucinations normally, almost always, will be wrong. However, as most Thais are using this are too young to understand or does not have any knowledge about measurement or the volume they smoke as beginners and not so tolerant to the drug, that will automatically create a possibility. If you smoke far too much marijuana, people can get hallucinations. based on the type of hallucinations a person also can get violent or aggressive. Not a very common thing to happen, but the possibility exists. Mostly a person who gets that kind of reaction also have some kind of psych-problems as well.

I fail to see the sense in his always returning violence. Both parties are licensed drivers working in the hospitality sector. Where does it stand that any of the groups active have no right to work or pick up passenger in certain areas or places? However, I take it as you have entered 1 time via land border, and after that made 1 more border bounce. If that is true, you will not be able to make another crossing via land border. However, you might be granted another entry if you choose to fly in and enter at one of the friendlier airports.
