  1. Yep, AI in one way or another.
  2. That´s actually a very good point.
  3. Banned breeds in Thailand are: American Staffordshire Terrier Pit Bull breeds that include American Pit Bull Terrier, American Bully, American Bulldog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier While it is not illegal to own these breeds in Thailand, the import of these breeds is prohibited by law. These breeds are banned for import in many countries around the world for several reasons. They have broad, strong jaws which means they can inflict great harm when they attack. They are strong, large-sized dogs that are not always easy to control. Though not all dogs of these breeds are aggressive and unfriendly, breed-specific legislation assumes that these breeds are vicious because of the history of attacks and dog bites by these dogs.
  4. All assumptions again, Ricky
  5. So much BS here. Name irrelevant. British national by evidence of passport. He broke the law, that seems to be par for British people in Thailand, so now he pay the price. Good for him!
  6. Does that mean you had a horrible experience and went back anyway, and after that you pray you do not have to go back?
  7. Ok, can you let them find it first and register. As they say it´s a new type, and there is yet no info about that. But, please! Just call and say you want a shot, then later you can us all, or not. Not to worry, we will still know..
  8. A person that needs to post such things, usually gets nothing.
  9. Maybe it was Voltaren
  10. He will never go away. That is Ricky in a nutshell, that always see an opportunity for a keyboard fight. And yes, fully agree. Very irritating. Regarding your nam prik, from what I can see you can bring it in. if it will be placed in your carry-on or checked in is all about the limits, weight and size.
  11. Ok, so if you break the law in US or UK, you do not have to go to court, and are just deported? Just understand, that Thailand is not much different than any other country regarding that procedure. Just a lot of foreigners on this forum that want to make everything here different and bad. They have sections for what you are talking about, as well as they have sections that deal with foreigners.
  12. We are not talking about somebody taking your chair at work. We are talking about picking up customers on the public streets.
  13. Sure, the madness is everywhere today.
  14. Did you even bother to read what I quoted? The 10k baht, is just a low estimate per tourist and year, to make the poster I quoted understand that he was way, way, way and way out of the reality surfing on pink clouds when he posted that the foreigners that stay here long time are more important than the tourists when it comes to economy. I have never said that there is a meaning coming to Thailand with only 10k baht. I just made a quick test and posted it to make it clear that tourism was the bigger and more important part than the foreigners staying in Thailand. I know the number is much higher regarding spending amount per tourist and year. However, that will only make my post more right.
  15. Ok, I give you the scoop, Bob. This is really going to hurt, and something that you should think very hard before trying. Talk only Thai, and refuse to use any other language. Do not think about drinking any imported beers or other alcohol. It will be Chang and Lao Khao in your future. Roll you own cigarettes. Throw out you washing machine and clean in a bucket with cold water only using your hands. Remodel your toilet to an old Thai style #hole in the floor" version. Only cook food in a terracotta oven using charcoal. Build a new house, but totally ignore the shape of electricity, and do never paint or decorate your inside and outside walls. Start planting rice. Change your bar going attitude. Now it will only be full blown parties screaming into a microphone in the local karaoke. Always walk in flip flops. On the upside, Bob. You will according to customs have as many mia noi´s as you wish. However, if you wife is into this change as well, she will later feed your precious to the ducks.
  16. @VocalNeal Why try to get away with such comment? At the same time you are asking if they should not have the right to defend their patch, like you are talking about a motorcycle gang. Very strange!
  17. No problem. She would almost be able to fly home without any passport as long as she can prove her identity. However, she will need a passport to check-in or buy a ticket. 🙂
  18. Defend their patch, has noting to do with selling taxi licenses. As you posted before, the rent a place for offering their services. Same like the noodle seller on the street, other street vendors or other shops and businesses. However, they do not burn down another shop just because competition open up the 10th mobile phone shop on the same street. Should the first one say he has all the right and kill the landlords who are renting out to the competition?
  19. Yeah, I know. I am sorry. I just bitch-slapped it out of myself. Feeling better already. All back to normal.
  20. Ok, I am sorry, did that mean I forced you to delete? 😉 But it´s nice to know that we came to the same conclusion, as I see it there is only one.
  21. See it like this. In this case they tried to eliminate themselves. When it stays like that, it´s all good in my book.
  22. Nope! That is not at all true, more than seen on the individual vs individual plane. In Thailand you have about 3-4 million foreigners that are living, working or staying long time in the country. most of them are migrant workers from neighboring countries. About 220 000 foreigners are skilled workers, retired or married to a Thai. (As of extra bonus about 42k of them are British) However, we can concentrate on them. Let´s say that every single one of them use and contribute with 1 million baht per year in Thailand. You as well as most people will know that is a very high number. That will give a total of 220 billion baht. The tourism sector is built around so much more, but we will make it easy an estimate that every tourist use an average of 10 000 baht in Thailand, which opposite to the before high number is a very low amount. Only that low number will total 360 billion baht. But as well as I know, you will too, the tourism industry in Thailand is worth between 1,5 - 2 trillion baht based on earlier years. So, now comes the question. With facts in front of you, will the tourism or the people staying long term in Thailand be most important for the county´s GDP?
  23. They are great with their countless actions to try and pump up the baht based on assumptions.
  24. It was far too early to take off the neck support. Then people can think that he made the whole thing up.
