I have always been reminded the sentiment expressed in a letter to his mother, written by Richard Smalley, anytime I hear students complain that the Social Sciences might be difficult. Social Science is easy. The Natural Sciences are truly hard. (Also, much of Social Science is just, basically.....JUNK SCIENCE.) Try taking a few grad courses at MIT Physics or Biochemistry if you think otherwise. Most Social Scientists are nitwits...and....they even ENJOY being nitwits..... This is why they chose Social Sciences in the first place...maybe.....

And, for me Rangoon will always be Rangoon. Calcutta will always be Oh! Calcutta! Unfortunately, British governance is no longer in force in these two places. Ever since the British left the colonies, it seems the natives want to leave the colonies, too, choosing to emigrate to the UK, and for good reason. The people of HK sorely miss British governance. They would have gladly refused to be invaded by XiJinPing. I have an idea, though: Why not just allow unfettered emigration from places like Malaya, to the UK. Then, allow the British to re-colonize Malaya. And then, everyone might be happy. The guys in the UK could enjoy a nice warm climate. And, the immigrants to the UK, within a few decades, would get their just deserts, once they had mucked everything up in their new chosen land.

Dear Folks, It seems to me that the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse knows, infamously, almost ZERO about science. And yet, this same horseman is chock-full of confidence. Maybe... This is a bad combination? Anyway, for some reason this horseman seems to be worried about Nuclear Warming. Did he actually mean: Nuclear Winter? We will never know. Still, being a Musk admirer, myself, I was happy to learn that Musk is right: If we push atmospheric CO2 concentrations above 1000 PPM.....then.... Yes, we will begin to find it difficult to breath, or at the very least we will feel ill. So, my good friend Musk is correct...once again. Long before this, however, we may find that we have just too many other problems on our hands...to... Even worry about breathing. Personally, I do believe that Musk can solve this problem of overly-high CO2 concentrations of this gas....in our atmosphere. Still, I doubt he will ever fully wish to address the environmental problems caused by this other gas emitter, and you know who. This is NOT a political conversation or Topic. No. No matter who is the US prez, it probably does not matter since... Obviously there are other economic forces that are more in control of what happens to us, besides any single politician, even if he or she might be president of the USA. In conclusion: While I am still not out of breath due to changing atmospheric gas concentrations, I am always amused to listen to those who base opinions on very questionable science, even if they have never taken a science course in their lives. Mostly, the funniest guys are the ones who have studied LAW, and then go on to become lawyers. Usually, it is the lawyers who seem to have the least understanding of basic science, among the intelligent population of the USA. All Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are reasonably intelligent. It's just that two of them do not know anything, seemingly, about science. It's gonna be a fun time living in what yet remains of this amazing decade. Don't you think? Regards, Gamma

What is one of the most important things that Tucker Carlson, Jordan Peterson, and Elon Musk share in common? Watching these videos, the answer becomes clear: The answer is not all that difficult. What these three geniuses share in common is: All three men deeply admire Elon Musk. And you? Regards, Gamma Note4: And now, my question is, where can I, too, get some of that musk oil?

Since the results came out lots of mental breakdowns....

Not really. CogDis is more about acting in ways which are contrary to one's beliefs. This creates far more stress/anxiety. This stress is only relived when one acts in ways that are congruent with one's beliefs. This resolution is the opposite of dissonance. Festinger is one of my favorite people. Also, Leon Russell. Both leons, I like. And Leon's best tune is maybe... Out in the Woods.
