  1. i find it bizarre that people come here for medical advice. if you're sick, go see a doctor.
  2. they've started again. please, please, please can you stop the advertising pop ups. surely there is enough advertising on the site already. indeed, sometimes i cant even see the whole pop up ad because it's hidden by another ad... pop ups are unwanted and very very annoying. please stop.
  3. so every country that charges an airport/landing fees to arrivals is going backwards?
  4. good point, don't think i've ever had trouble navigating an airport or railway station...
  5. they are dangerous, i have seen several overturn, noisy polluters. this replacement initiative is long overdue. and for once relays a positive message. hopefully the charging point infrastructure will be in place to support them.
  6. don't use this as an excuse for thai bashing. drink spiking and assaulting women is rife in many countries. it's a human thing, not a thai thing.
  7. agree, people need to wise up. been here donkeys years, managed to go about my life without doing anything that is fineable and have never been asked to pay a fine. it's not difficult.
  8. They had not changed their chargers either what are they talking about?!
  9. “Visit Thailand Year: Amazing New Chapters” should really have given 'Amazing Thailand' one more run round the block.
  10. He called the showroom who said to let it cool down a bit then restart. ????
  11. why haven't you made sure she's been properly taught then? surely a wise move for her, your and other road users safety...
  12. in some situations i ask, but sometimes there just isn't the opportunity to ask, you see the shot and take it...
  13. move. it can't be the only quiet place.
  14. yes, easy to find a booster. as your gf is thai should be fairly easy for her to sort it out. all my thai friends seem to be able to do so without having to ask me... ????
  15. just reminded me i was traveling in the early 2000s, laos had been given some inner city buses by a western donor country and were using these buses for long distance travel, not comfortable. even earlier in the 1990s i visited and traveled by boat, before they had tourist boats, sharing the boat with locals transporting their goods and even livestock to market. those were the days... as you say, beautiful country and i love luang prebang.
  16. nonsense. many (non sex industry) girls who want to meet a western man for a one night stand or a relationship go to tourist areas because that's where the guys are. admittedly, this was more the case prior to smart phones/internet dating, but still holds good now. i know because i've met countless such girls. it's very very easy to meet and have a relationship with a non bar girl.
  17. only if you have the relevant skill and experience, i've driven off road in northern thailand and the driving conditions can be very challenging
  18. na, obsessed with being irish. met and traveled with an all american guy, surname vogel, clearly germanic, however never stopped banging on that he was irish. apart from that he was a decent guy..
  19. he really should have had some form of safety warning; cones or a watcher the driver was probably looking at the barrier and missed him as he was low down. however, she was not moving quickly and could surely have stopped at the initial impact, injuring him probably, but to continue driving is obviously going to cause him more injury, so... why not stop?
  20. there speaks the uninformed. clearly you have never been to china, or you have had a very limited experience of the country.
  21. haha, i was sure it was going to be a car or truck, maybe i've been here too long...
  22. not normal for thai boys generally. but sadly, for years vocational college students have been fighting with each other. college and police authorities should have dealt with this issue years ago.
