  1. there’s like 20 staffs standing there looking at you i've told you a million times not to exaggerate. though in truth, sounds like thailand may not be the place for you.
  2. he is a fascinating character, the fact people lap up his lies and kow tow to him is (e.g. zuckerberg needs to grow a pair), to a non american, frankly bizarre, the fact he can get so many people to vote for him is stunning. it's fascinating to watch trump tear america apart - you get what you vote for, so tough. though slightly worrying the negative effect he may have outside the usa borders...
  3. this problem was solved, to much fanfare and self congratulatory back slapping, around 10 years ago with these air cleaning machines...
  4. I see some awful behaviour from Thais on the roads this statement needs amending, if you'd been here longer, and/or didn't have a one eyed view, you'd know the awful behaviour on thai roads is absolutely not restricted only to thais, i see plenty of westerners behaving appallingly on the roads here, endangering themselves and others.
  5. you pay your money, you take your chances.
  6. The BoT has since instructed the banks involved to meticulously probe the matter, underscoring the urgent need for vigilance on account activity, particularly for business clients. love this responsibility avoidance. a few years ago i did some work at the ministry of transport, at that time there was a spate of accidents and deaths involving public transport minivans. i was talking to some MOT staff and said effective regulation, licensing and safety checks of minivans/opertors would be beneficial, reducing accidents and improving customer confidence. no need, was the reply from the staff, the minister has told the minivan operators to be more careful in future - so basically, job done. i didn;t want to get into it with them so i left it at that. did anything change? no.
  7. i have to agree, sometimes you have to play the game. i was in japan and went to extend my japanese visa, i was staying and visiting with friends. the IO said that was not tourism so i couldn;t extend, he said if i was staying for tourism i could extend. slight pause, knowing look from IO and i said, i'd like to extend my tourist visit and go to interesting tourist places in japan. he replied, ok, for this reason you can extend your visa. 😁
  8. much like many of the western sex tourists then, except they're not only fat but bald too.
  9. include common sense, again not limited to thailand.
  10. Is this behavior acceptable in thailand? Is it the norm? yes, and yes. when you've been here longer you'll understand how the place works. next.
  11. if pot holes are your argument for nuclear power appropriateness then the uk should not be let anywhere near anything nuclear.
  12. for sure there are opportunities aplenty for anyone with a bit of drive, imagination and hard work ethic, pretty much the same as in many other countries.
  13. Ao nang is run down and simply dirty. no it's not.
  14. very sad, don't know the details but there are so many accidents waiting to happen out there, not least because, bizarrely, people refuse to wear crash helmets and/or drive/ride appropriate to the road conditions/environment.
  15. haha, idiots in every country, use your common sense and don;t engage. if you're not smart enough to ignore such people then don;t make the mistake of spouting inaccurate generalisations.
  16. contemporary flat earthers are the blinkered sex tourists in thailand who believe, despite vast amounts of evidence to the contrary, that the prostitute girlfriend hanging on their arm, and every word, is there because they like them and not as part of a business transaction.
  17. you're not hooked, just cancel, it's not difficult. what such companies rely on is people forgetting, or being disorganised, or lacking the basic ability to cancel. i've never had a problem. enough said.
  18. hummm... have you been to india? india has an extensive domestic airline network
  19. guess you also know that....once you subscribe to just about ANYTHING...then....companies make it almost impossible to cancel a subscription. have to disagree, i've taken advantage of many 'free' access to a websites/services before the subscription kicks in, i;ve always been able to cancel as required, it's not difficult.
  20. it's your device not spotify that's connecting, anything playing on your device will 'connect'
  21. absolutely, i get attacked by locals every time i step out of my front door.
  22. agree, medical insurance is tailored to the individual, therefore you can;t compare like with like. the best thing to do is obtain quotes from various insurance companies and go with the one that fits best with your own personal circumstances.
  23. interestingly, it works the other way too. i'm still in touch with an exgf who married a scandanavian guy, he paid 2.4 million baht for the privilege (she told me he should have paid 200K tops) all her friends and family mock and laugh at him, they have no respect for him and consider him a fool.
