My observations for a recent trip to Pattaya.
HappyExpat57 replied to advancebooking's topic in Pattaya
That's fine for all the bored alcoholics with nothing better to do on topics that advertise said bored alcoholic fog. This OP was making a genuine, decent contribution to a forum that seems to decay more and more with each passing day. -
My observations for a recent trip to Pattaya.

OP - Thank you for your trip report. It's always nice to see Thailand from a fresh perspective. To some other negative Nancy's - if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it. Make your momma proud, not hang her head in shame.- 136 replies

<sarcasm> This will work just as well as "trickle down economics." Consumers will JUMP at the chance of visiting Thailand now with such a financial boon. </sarcasm>

Police to get tough on drunk drivers over New Year
HappyExpat57 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Déjà vu is the phenomenon of feeling as though one has lived through the present situation before. Not sure what brought this to mind. -
So NOW they're finally waking up to the fact that Russians/Chinese/Indians don't have the disposable income, or spend it in shops owned by their countrymen, while yanks and canucks make it rain when on vaca. Slow AND dense, not a good business model.

And it's a QUIET dungeon.

I had to make several trips to Mexico city (American embassy) and it was the same for me. The whole of Mexico had a certain dirty tinge like nowhere else I've been. The ONLY decent part of Zihuatanejo was this woman who cooked up two HUGE colanders of tamales every night, 7 for $1 USD. She got plenty of business from me.

Time to dust off this ol' tale: Got the seven-year itch after living in Thailand. Having grown tired of all the bureaucratic nonsense, I pulled up stakes and moved to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. It is NOTHING like that depicted in "The Shawshank Redemption." Six weeks later I was back in LOS with a renewed appreciation. And every time I visit family and friends in the US, I am reminded why I could never move back there. Gawd bless LOS.

I sure hope so!

This is what the op asked for. ??? Let's let op make up his/her own mind. What you find unappealing might be just what they were looking for.

For a quiet bar, I've always gone to The Sportsman on Soi 13 Alley. No loud music and they serve Guinness.

This is meant to deter other idiots (orange jeezuz comes to mind) from doing the same thing. -
My login is still going back and forth, approx weekly, as to whether it remembers me or not.

How many times have folks like you made this ridiculous argument? Plenty of co-conspirators have already pleaded guilty, it's only a matter of time before the noose finally tightens around his fat fake-tanned neck. -
If a straight man wants to live like a gay, then he just does it. That's what we DO, it's who we ARE.
-
Being gay is like being left handed. You either are or you aren't. A small number of the population is ambidextrous. You don't choose to be left handed and watching Bob Ross paint will not turn you either way. A good gay friend once looked me square in the eye and asked, "Do you think I WANTED to be gay?"

And someone obviously peed in your oatmeal today so you're looking for somewhere to be obnoxious. I already stated the show, you either missed it or ignored it. You failed.
