  1. If you don't know than you really aren't paying attention.
  2. We just went through something similar: https://complaint.ocpb.go.th/ Call Center : 1166 Email : [email protected]
  3. What sold me was taking my package to them, they saw immediately that I had the wrong pictures. As we don't name and shame, I won't say exactly which shop screwed me. When I had them taken, I specifically asked for US photos, and they gave me two that obviously weren't the ones we usually give to immigration. Turned out they were UK photos. That meant I would have wasted all the time shipping to the US, just to have it sent back. WELL worth using the service.
  4. They also do US passports. They recently did mine. Give them a call or send an email. I'll pm you with the address.
  5. I'm just WAITING to see a post from him to the tune of "Kidding!" Yes, I'm just that bored. Schools starts back up tomorrow and I go back to enjoying teaching again.
  6. It is not an option to do this in person unless you fly yourself to the US. As I just posted above, https://thaivisa-express.com/ is an outstanding outfit. They also do extension of stays at competitive rates, with or without you having money in the bank. Did I mention the girls are quite attractive?
  7. I almost got shamed by know-it-alls into doing my passport renewal myself. "It's easy" they said, "Do it yourself" they said. I got all the way up to mailing the damned package off when my little inner voice said to get this checked by those who know. I went to these folks: https://thaivisa-express.com/ They are located just off Soi Buakhao, easy trip from Jomtien. They charged me what I consider a great price and caught a mistake that would have nullified my entire package had I mailed it to the US embassy. And the girls are very easy on the eyes.
  8. He didn't win the case (the bum manager never paid for his crime), but he kept himself out of jail for making defamatory statements in the police report.
  9. That day in court was to defend HIMSELF!
  10. Next vacation I suggest you find another country to visit. You and Thailand are obviously not a good fit.
  11. I try to help you and you respond like this? What you need can't be provided by any pharmacy, that's for sure!
  12. And I'M telling you if you do, you have to go public with a recorded statement. Proceed at your own possible peril.
  13. You need to be extremely cautious doing the "name and shame" cha cha in Thailand. Even if what you claim is 100% true and verifiable, it can backfire on you for doing public defamation. Case in point: I know a guy who owned a bar in Jomtien years ago. The manager he hired ripped him off, all the way to tearing the copper pipes out of the wall. When my friend reported it to the police, this bastard manager took the OWNER to court for public defamation for the things he put in the police report! All true and verifiable. My friend spent Christmas day that year in court defending himself. I recommend telling your friends and avoid patronizing the pharmacy. Anything more public could put you in harm's way.
  14. The likes of OSHA and Thailand aren't even nodding acquaintances. How many times have we seen arc welders working with knockoff Rayban sunglasses, or electricians working with bare feet on wet cement floors and no grounded tools, or . . .
  15. And Darwin looks on, quietly nodding his head.
  16. How can we miss you if you won't go away?
  17. I really wonder if this kind of idiocy has always been happening and we just didn't have instant worldwide communication to report it or ... ... is the human race really degenerating so rapidly?
  18. Taking preschoolers on a trip to Vietnam?!?!? I could see a trip to the underwater aquarium in Pattaya, but Vietnam?
  19. I found out there is no central approving office. Jomtien folks do Jomtien, Chanthaburi does Chanthaburi, and so on. Approval times are as stable as the people performing them. 🙃
  20. Just waiting for the first post about how this is a sticky situation. Oh, that would be me.
  21. This is MY opinion, nothing to really back it up, but I think the BiB were getting sick of having videos taken when they were extorting cash on the roads and being called out for it. This now makes it OK.
  22. I imagine that's up to the professional discretion of the arresting officer.
  23. Gawd, they're publicly legalizing extortion!
