Is the Aircon beeping to say it has received the signal. We have LG and the remote changes temp and other settings on its little screen, but if the aircon doesn't beep it doesn't actually change anything.

I assume they have a plan (555) on how to achieve this target!!! A good start would be a detailed analysis of the data. I suspect the single biggest impact on the number of deaths (though not accidents) would be a strict ban on carrying dozens of people crammed into the back of small trucks with no chance of surviving a significant impact......though such a ban will never be introduced or enforced.

Slightly off topic, but the savings could go towards giving poorer (expat) pensioners a decent pension..........how about a means tested state pension? Why are wealthy people still allowed to claim a state pension?.....Pure greed.

That was a killer......I watch my Directors pension crash at the time, but still had another 10 years in which it could recover.......as they say.....all in the timing.
