Marrying my first wife What was your "best thing I ever did"? Brought up, as a single dad, four of the most beautiful, well balance, intelligent and successful children.....could be some bias in there.

    Something I wish I had done was put half their pocket money into a FTSE 100 fund or similar. Trading is so easy now all parents should be considering investments. When my kids were growing up trading wasn't even on the horizon.

    I would agree.....a rather odd mix of amazing "forward thinking" jumbled up with old fashioned...."know your place". Maybe the forward thinking elements are sops thrown out by the hisos to keep the prols in their place.

    Worth telling again..... Dam being built near us.....all the villagers who want jobs have to hand in their bank books and passwords. Management book overtime out to them, which the villagers don't actually work, and management withdraw those payments from their bank accounts to divi up between themselves.
