  1. Simple Gsearch would give you a ballpark idea of the increases: The revised entrance fees for historical sites are as follows: Historical parks for Thai nationals: 20 baht per person, for foreign nationals: 120-200 baht (previously 100 baht). Archeological sites or significant places for Thai nationals: 10-20 baht per person, for foreign nationals: 80-120 baht (previously 50-100 baht). As for admission fees to national museums, the new rates are: Small national museums for Thai nationals: 10 baht per person, for foreign nationals: 80 baht (previously 50 baht). Medium-sized national museums for Thai nationals: 10-20 baht per person, for foreign nationals: 120 baht (previously 50-100 baht). Large national museums for Thai nationals: 20-30 baht per person, for foreign nationals: 200 baht (previously 100-150 baht). For highly visited national museums, such as the National Museum in Bangkok, the following new rates apply to Thai nationals: 30 baht per person and for foreign nationals: 240 baht (previously 200 baht). In addition, four other registered historic sites and national museums that previously charged fees for the rental of foreign language audio guides will now eliminate the fee. These sites are: Historical Park – Sdok Kok Thanom, Khok Sung District, Sakaeo Wat Kudi Dao, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Nakhon Nayok National Museum, Mueang Nakhon Nayok District, Nakhon Nayok. Surin National Museum, Mueang Surin District, Surin. The government spokesperson, Tipanan Sirichana stated that “entrance fees for Thai nationals will remain unchanged to promote learning, preserve cultural heritage, and foster a sense of national identity across all generations without increasing the financial burden of tourism on Thai citizens.” Source: KhaoSod
  2. Nobody knows the cause of that one either. Feel free to speculate.
  3. That's what reuters has stated from the beginning. The article I read. 'cause-unknown' No surprises there. To the anti EV'ers, seems every fire is EV caused, until proved differently. Considering who on AN is stating it was caused by an EV ... nuff said.
  4. What country hasn't been responsible for immoral act/behavior ? Should the citizens be banned from entry/travel to other countries. What tourist would be left to visit anywhere ? People living in glass houses should be throwing stones. Where was the outrage and moral backbone of countries, when these countries invaded Iraq or supported the war. Killing & displacing how many ? From wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_invasion_of_Iraq
  5. If you say so .... sure you would know ????
  6. @transam Unlike the constant maintenance of an ICEV; oil changes, tune-up, going to and Q'ing up at the petrol station every week of so to buy petrol. Spend spend spend. Added savings for the EV owner ???? Before you repeat that one again:
  7. And no comment about the ฿42.7k saved every year for the EV owners who have to pay PEA/MEA to charge. Of course we get to save the whole ฿54.2k a year, using EXCESS solar.
  8. Chiming in ... contracted house to build, 2020, plan to add solar when done, to meet the house's electrical needs. Wanting to be off grid, so went big. AT THE SAME TIME ... bought a new 2020 MG ZS ICE, obviously EV wasn't in the game plan, or we would not have bought new ICEV, simply kept the running good Mazda 2 we had at the time. 2 yrs later, MG ZS EV upgraded + Govt incentive (฿240k) + having more solar than we can use .... NO BRAINER, get the EV. Didn't need to upgrade the solar to accommodate the EV's needs. No additional cost to charge the EV, ROI remains the same.
  9. NO, your question wasn't silly ... the first ... repeatedly is simply trolling. Save this image, so you never have to ask again. It's self explanatory.
  10. Locally, doesn't cost us anything, as I charge with excess solar. IF paying PEA/MEA, would think <฿4/kWh would be the ballpark, as that is the only thing we would use the grid for, so low rate. Others, ฿4 +/-, depending on the usage rate. How much for others, that's a long piece of string. I've posted before, and you've seen the #s, excess solar (free), and the PEA/MEA rate ฿4ish vs petrol's ฿37+ now per Liter. Amount of savings per charge, whether 320kms range per full charge when O&A, or 360kms knocking locally I'm not repeating myself, every time you repeat your silliness. On just 2 O&As, one to Phuket and one to Nan, we saved about ฿7563, and that's just 2 trips vs cost for same distance, if using the ICE version of our ZS. Have a nice day
  11. @transam Our recent O&A, 13-23 July, and passed a lot more CSs than we used. Never needing to leave the road to find one. All conveniently along the way. Same with going to these few locations, during last month's O&As, June and this July.
  12. I went the inexpensive (cheap A$$) route, a Philips, all of 700 baht, and mainly for veggies, salsa & such. Which I don't use for ???? Does make excellent PB, as thick or thin as you prefer. Also don't add anything, and use roasted peanuts from Makro. 500gr/50 baht, and make 250gr batches at a time, when needed. Since having a stand mixer & blender already, hence the inexpensive model. Although, if planning on making bread, get something stronger. I've made bread in the processor, but stand mixer is stronger and easier clean up.
  13. And that (PlugShare), along with Charge Loma app aren't even up to date, as didn't show a few while we were O&A lately. And so many more coming online, impressive.
  14. jojothai gave you some good suggestions. Wildlife watching (Kui Buri NP) is not at the park, but here: KB wildlife Use to be 900 baht for truck + 200 pp https://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=28894&hilit=visiting+the+animals&start=15 You can also go whale watching, out of Ban Laem Phetchaburi, and saves going S from BKK on the gulf, or N from Cha Am, again, longer boat trips. whale watching ? Call to verify, season and if operating. Never used, just a reference point to the area. I've seen the signs as I looked for that elusive Spot Billed Pelican in the area ... unsuccessfully I might add ???? As mentioned, a few National Parks, west & surfside along that strip. At PKK, Ao Manao for swimming, though use caution, and keep ears out of water. Also at RTAF Wing 5/Ao Manao (need to sign in w/PP), over by museum area, may see the Dusky Leaf monkeys, though been a bit scarce of late. Our photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1Je2zCWZtiASKcca6 Due avoid the monkeys around Wat Khao Chong Krachok, and carry nothing (plastic bags) that they might assume has food, or show any food, as they can be extremely aggressive. Ignore them, and they will ignore you. Nice views from atop the hill. Been up there a few times, lots of steps, but not strenuous at all, and I'm 67 yrs old. hilltop wat Our snaps of: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7KHPvrnuR5MfD1Q03 We go here for a munch, 30-45min out of PKK town area: munch Not a fan of Bang Saphans, and personally wouldn't bother with those 2. On the way to Chumphon, decent waterfall, free, and better than most they charge for. Sai Khu Ban Krut is a favorite; Must stop on the way to Ban Krut, munch and or just beverage & pastry Decent munch
  15. Not my experience ... YMMV You forgot to add 'yellow book' ... still, no Thai price for me. Not saying it's never happened, but rare.
  16. Would have spared me 3 divorces, though they were mutual & no issues. If marrying the opposite sex (male/female) wouldn't necessarily mean either or both are straight. Maybe a new question for license applications ????
  17. Yea, confused the hell out of me ... then was entertaining enough. Being completely different was a plus. Though once was enough.
  18. If headed S, you don't not want to be in 'weekender' traffic, from/to Bangkok. I never go to BKK on Sunday, and never leave to come home/PKK on Friday or Saturday. A traffic nightmare on 35 & 4, as no real alternative routes.
  19. Think it has more to do with disposable, liquid cash, many don't have to play international tourist now, after a couple years of economic hardships. Air fares & hotel prices certainly aren't helping, as quite high at times. Actually surprised TH has recovered as well as it has. Phuket was quite busy, as recently there, and off season at that. Way too busy for us, to the point, we doubt if we'll be returning.
  20. Only you are being silly, as nobody is suggesting ending the use of petrochemical products. Just another of your silly apple & oranges comparisons. Try starting your ICE without a battery ... that's how silly sound.
  21. Khao Kho has the 'weapon museum', from the insurgency days and Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew area, may interest. weapon museum Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew
  22. 15 years .... they don't get out much ???? Maybe referring to just the Thai price ????
  23. Stick with it for awhile, as I found it entertaining. Watched all 10 seasons.
