  1. HEY ... you been peeking in the window ... I look smokin' hot in that red chiffon number, as it just clings and shows all those curves. Work it girlfriend ... 🤣
  2. The news blip wasn't about thunderstorms or 'rough seas' in the NE. Let that part sink in
  3. Throw an insect into the web and watch it do its thing. Pretty cool
  4. You could actually read the link: "The southern region, facing the east coast, can anticipate thunderstorms in 20% of the area, predominantly impacting provinces including Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The eastern seaboard from Surat Thani upwards will face northeast winds of 20-35 km/h with 2-metre high waves, increasing beyond 2 metres during thunderstorms. Conversely, the southern region facing the west coast is forecasted to have thunderstorms in 10% of the area, mainly affecting provinces like Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, and Krabi, with daytime temperatures heating up."
  5. Why would one apologize for such an accurate statement .. IMHO ... oh wait, I know, so in income is stopped when you get cancelled
  6. The wife of course, especially since I've been exploring my non-binary cross dressing, black Asian identity. I feel so free, now that I'm woke. I'll let her carry that white cis male guilt around for a while ...
  7. Only 48 ... the year is starting off slow. Yearly event during every celebration of a 'Championship' win, along with a riot and looting usually. What better way to celebrate than the gift free sh!t
  8. I have not, as I'm usually just sitting on a park bench away from people (ELGWBI) Booster shot #8, masked up & social distancing, all recommended by the AN paranoid health experts, and thankfully has kept me alive... IMHO Occasionally I sit curbside, if park benches are full of fellow social distancing folks. I figure sucking in diesel exhaust will kill any of the virus that has made it past my mask. EVs will be the ruin of mankind, no exhaust to kill the viruses we breathe in ... IMHO
  9. Much appreciated, the thoughtfulness and care AN members have for our safety. Thanks to them, I knew to avoid the puddles on the road, still there from a light overnight rain. Imagine the car fire that would have happened if the car got wet. Later we went out to dinner, and I wasn't paying attention, and hit a speed bump. Luckily the car didn't explode, and there was a spot to pull over and park. We exited as fast as possible and waited the 6 hrs that people recommend, for safety sake, before getting back in and returning home. Got home around midnight and just enjoyed that quality time sitting roadside, releasing how lucky we were. You never know when the end will come when driving EVs. PRAISE BUDDHA
  10. THANKS I got more than a few hard drives, that are back ups of back ups, and way too redundant. I've use 2 online sites before, but they both went from free to paid subscription. Have a Flickr account that allows 1000 photos now for free, almost full. Also Google photo account, which is fairly unlimited, and use to put a lot there, but no so much any more. I pretty much just take photos for myself. Brother keeps on trying to get me to publish a book, but I can't be bothered. Any new species I photograph, I stick on FB, more for me and my all of 9 friends, 8 which are family back in states. Let's them know I'm still alive.
  11. If got the time, along the river, as you'll probably stop more often. Done both, prefer riverside, though TBH, haven't been on either for quite some time, years.
  12. Simply easier, and habit I didn't get out of, when daughter was younger at the house, and she wanted pancakes. She could easily make herself. But yea, can't see me buying mix again, especially since I like the pandan flavor, or will simply do with bananas & flour. All a bit too easy.
  13. This turned out OK. Used the crap pancake mix, photo below, DO NOT BUY. Stick with Imperial or different brand. I tested the crappy brand, because the Imperial went from ~฿80 to ฿120, simply because the renamed it from 'Pancake Mix' to ... "American Pancake Mix" Anyway, crap mix w/pandan powder, topped butter, honey & cinnamon, and tasty: Avoid this brand, get Imperial, or just make your own:
  14. Racist ... or would that be species-ist Not a fan myself, but, they do have some nice looking ones in the 'family' of: Best of Show Thick-billed Green-Pigeon - Treron curvirostra Even got some fancier ones, but I don't have photos of
  15. Definitely a crap day down here / PKK 😷 Don't need a meter to tell me that, as can't see the headlands of the bay from the house, <5kms away, or the hills to the west, <10kms away. Rest of the province is a bit worse: We're a bit better at & in the house:
  16. One of the Orioles, as they have a yellow ones here/TH. Has a very loud, distinctive call. We have a couple around the house, yet to get a snap of. A family of, at the local park, I see quite often:
  17. A few ... more like every one, except for JFK, as he was pretty straight up, aside from personal life. No BS, and admitted his failure when having a policy oops. Reagan had Alzheimer's, so gets a pass, but Bush (ex CIA) had to know about the Contra BS.
  18. Both, but lean toward 'avoid' more recently. Actually none now, at PKK. When living at Udon Thani, met a few, and good friends, though 'great' would be a stretch. Even after 15 yrs, how much time have you really spent with someone, as I only met most, once a month, at an expat meet up. With only a few socializing at theirs or our house. Not a hang out with you or at the bar everyday kind of guy, so no deep relationships here, or even at USA.
  19. Working for the airlines, and it happens a lot more than one would think. Usually a shaver. Post 9/11, you'd think they would be X-ray all luggage, and shows poor security. Why if passenger doesn't check in/board flight, the flight doesn't leave until bag is pulled
  20. I can't see that happening, as counter productive to any budget concerns. The amount saved, vs the amount they'd put out in Medicare cost if we stayed in USA would definitely be a negative. I had a minor med oops/procedure done, 1.5 yrs ago, that would have cost Medicare $100-150k (5-7 yrs of my SS), but here only cost me $6500. As stated, SS is NOT an entitlement, myself & employer paid for it. That the gov't mismanaged it is theirs and future tax payer's problem. Mess with SS and you lose 1/3 of you votes, if not more.
  21. @Owiee Booking.com is the best site for accurate pet friendly info, and you can filter that. Krung Thep has about 50 hotels, though not many I'd consider, as parking is an issue also, and I require secure parking. Outside Krung Thep, just cross reference Gmap with satellite & streetview, to see if any green areas around. We usually find places on Gmap, better than booking.com, or, at least Gmap will have a phone number to call to verify the info, and find out pet charges if applied, some free, some silly and almost the price of the room. Wife spends quite a bit of time on the phone before we move on to the next spot. Bring a small dog mat/bed with you, if just for optics, and gives the impression the dog won't be sleeping on the bed. We bring a top sheet anyway, as she will be on the bed. Along with small broom, as wife leaves the room cleaner than when we check in sometimes. She sheds quite a bit, and pet charge or not, best we leave a good impression for the next person with a pet. Happy Travels
  22. Actually Riverside has an area set aside to the left as you exit. Admit the area set aside is ridiculously small, and I don't even bother. Poolside was very un-cool, although we have sat poolside with our dog, after she has done her business, on a leash, and she preferred the shade under the lounger. Rather take her up by the entrance/guard shack, and larger area (NW corner) for her to sniff around and pick a spot. Also nobody will be walking around that area.
  23. That photo is used in more than a few news-blips in a bunch of countries in Africa, SEA, PI Apparently pinch off a 2007 upload to Flickr, unless sold to stock photo site.
  24. "The Dutch team simulated 2,200 years of its flow, adding in what human-caused climate change does to it. They found after 1,750 years "an abrupt AMOC collapse," .... but so far are unable to translate that simulated timeline to Earth's real future .... Key to monitoring what happens is a complicated measurement of flow around the tip of Africa. The more negative that measurement, the slower AMOC runs." OK, so something might happen, sometime in the future ... got it. Hope they didn't pay a lot for their education to come up with that one
