  1. 'murse' ???? yet another new word I'll never use. Who comes up with this silliness.
  2. Apparently she/he/it didn't have many friends to begin with. Friends don't care about your preferences.
  3. "plunge 1 meter" ... ... Maybe about 25 cm, the MPS's ground clearance.
  4. Yep, and we just did again, (only 22%) as CS <50m from 7-11 we stopped at, on the way back to resort. We're out of here tomorrow, and one less thing to do, though don't think we'll be going much further than 200 kms, so wasn't needed ... yet ???? Though plan is still undecided. Heads up for Phuket, as I notice, most chargers are not fast chargers. Bit of a scam on the tourist. More than a few, at hotels (maybe free) and shopping centers, charge by the hour, and 60 baht for that slow charging hour ???? Makes sense for the locals, if not leaving the island, you really don't need to charge at all. Phuket simply isn't that big. One VIP taxi company using MG EPs and wise choice. PEA Volta & EVStation Plus are the fast chargers I've noticed.
  5. It's a 'bag' ... ... man carrying it ... feel free to call it a man bag. Though I've never heard that actually used...ever ... woman carrying it ... it's still a bag .. but again, feel free to call it a woman bag, though again, never heard any called such. Style is personal .. UP2U, as always. I find bags way too convenient, why I have so many.
  6. So once again, the threatened consequence of failing to pay ... ... mean nothing, as before. Millions, inclusive (though can't see getting a citation) will not pay in the future. Paid a few in the past, which, obviously wasn't required.
  7. Me neither ... I know where it's been since I've been here, up to 46, one day/hour of so, and above 40 for a while. Made the first house build and first car rather inexpensive, against the USD brought in. But since 'stabilized, 30-35 +/-. and on the high end of that for quite some time, along with @ 38 just a short while ago and above 35 for a few months. What does it all mean ... plan that retirement carefully. Sh!t happens????
  8. I knew I should've gotten a pink bag... ... Let my freak flag fly ... I'm coming out
  9. Wrong vid got posted, 2 surf, and not the resort pool area...corrected
  10. If you want to be considerate, don't ask me to do something that makes me 'very' uncomfortable. If 'you' are high risk/paranoid, then 'you' should take precautions, not me. Covid still around, and just as dangerous to me as it was day 1. More things to concern myself about that actually might happen, or have a negative effect on me. Covid is way down that list....for me IMHO
  11. O&A ... PKK - Surat Thani - Phang-Nga - Phuket Short version, no real issues, and there are more than enough CS in route, whether staying on the highways or taking the scenic route. Long version, no real plan, and on the fly. Only plan was, go about 250-300kms before charging and or hotel, which ever we decided first. Move on the next day. Crap weather at Surat Thani, so scratched the 'dinner' and overnight. Wife's 1st decision ... "I'm hungry, I got to P" @ the 100kms mark ???? Be nice if I could actually drive 3-4hrs without stopping. Get to first CS, plug in, stroll around, snack, and now check internet and actually think about a hotel. Car is topped off, we're still debating, and since been here so many times, continue on. I have an idea, stop at the Cheow Lan Lake to take a boat out, then hotel, weather dependent, though not optimistic since very lite rain. Wife completely against the idea/boat, and agree, or even staying in the area, since again, 'been there, done that' mode. So next area of interest is a stretch with 'less' CSs. Less meaning, 100ksm stretch, with the route "I want" to take, scenic. Since no plan and I'm overly cautious, stop to top up, at 'last stop', so I can actually think about where to stay. Car done again, before I am, though got a basic idea, so off we go. Still lite spotty rain, but a fun, very nice drive. Get to GH with plenty of reserve, as only 125 kms away, if that, from last 'unnecessary' top up. Stay 2 nights, and wife wants to shop, me, munch, so conveniently located with a CS there. 1st encounter with a Q,, 2 bay CS, 1 occupied, 1 reserved, (not us) so off to next one after quick peek at shopping, just up the road a bit. Top up while having a lite munch. Topped up, so no need to while on Phuket, if not wanting, as only 125 kms away. Really didn't need to top up, but too convenient not to. On Phuket, once again, out for a munch, and convenience of CS 130m away, so topped up again, while eating & 7-11 stock up. Back to the car, and @ 98%. NO drama, no out of the way searching, no charging as a necessity, just conveniently located where we were at the time, and topped up before we were ready to move on, or could have left without going to 100% as simply not needed. Been here / Phuket couple days, 1 more night, booked last night, for tonight, as I say ... always travel on the fly, never really having a plan. Each next night was booked the night before. Weather has been great, forecasted thunderstorms never materialized. Great resort (Secret Cliff Resort & Restaurant) for R&R. Breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired, but all of 40 baht as add on at booking ???? Has an omelet station and OK coffee w/croissants, so really can't go wrong, for 20 baht each, if not wanting the rest on offer. Surf is rough, and understandable how folks drown themselves, though surfers are having fun...or attempting to. HAPPY TRAVELS
  12. 1. any advice from stock broker/advisor 2. be the dumbest person in the room 3. honest, good father & husband
  13. I think it's going to be quite some time, 5 yrs or more, before something is mass produced, to compete, priced competitively, to push LFP batteries off the market. Especially in the warmer countries. For AN forum members, hope you're not waiting for all that new tech to be available before buying, if considering, as with some of our ages, we may not be here, or half way to the other side, and not get much of a ROI, for any new toys. Along with those incentive disappearing.
  14. Disagree with that, I think. I consider myself way in between, pro everybody, anybody, anything ... I just hate the lobbying special interest groups. From 'non heterosexual' groups (alphabet thing is just getting too silly now), to BLM, God, to Right/Left, Rep/Dem, women/abortion rights, anti gun or gun right, Christian/Devil...anti vax/vax'd, masked/unmasked, pick a topic. Seems you have to be either or, not allowed to think for yourself, have a middle ground. Labels & divisionary tactics of 'everyone'. I'm starting to completely ignore news, OK, op-eds as news simply doesn't exist anymore. I actually get most of the news from AN. Only other source I read is RTNews, with a small grain of salt.
  15. I'm still at a loss, of how is this "hope for same sex marriage" A male, married a female ... that's it, and that's. Has absolutely nothing to do with same sex. What they think or want to think they are or want to be is irrelevant. In the eyes of TH law, a man married a woman. Nothing is different, except the optics. They could dress up as a clown and a rabbit, and it would still be a male human, marrying a female human. Legal in TH.
  16. I would think one, would lead to the other ... ????
  17. Didn't occupy myself with, they were necessities, got to eat, and shop. All those folks that walk, run or bike for exercise ... hmm, how easy to charge car while doing. Nothing but excuses for most people not to own an EV, but not many valid reasons. If it's not for you, then so be it. But don't complain about the air pollution, or noise. Walking from car to munch last night, and I really noticed the noise and exhaust pollution, since rush hour, and thought to myself, "just think if they were all EVs". What a wonderful world ... you go SatchMo. On that ... noise & pollution ... Imagine this intersection being all EVs, it's not rocket science, to tell which is a better alternative.
  18. Wow .. a whole 4.2-kilometer road, we're all saved. Just drove through Surat Thani - Phang-Nga - Phuket, and didn't see that, or the need for that section of road. I must of taken the scenic route. Here's the actual link, the think it is all quoted in OP: https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG230609104310419
  19. Let's be realistic ... most have a charging station near them or where they go during the week. In TH, even @ ฿8/kWh, it only cost us ฿230 / 360kms when O&A / on the road vs ฿900 in the same car, but ICE. Last night, on Phuket, went for munch, nice massaman/roti, next door was 7-11. and next to that BangChak w/PEA Volta charging station. Had a munch, popped in to get some snacks & water, and car was done, topped up 50% to 100% If CS isn't right next to where you want to be, then put the fold up bike in the trunk, and get a little exercise, go have a coffee & slice of something. It's not rocket science ...
  20. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jun/08/fact-check-why-rowan-atkinson-is-wrong-about-electric-vehicles This article debunks most of Atkinson's misinformation in OP.
  21. That kind of surprised me also. I took it for shingles / postherpetic neuralgia, and was just Ok. "In regard to the specific diagnoses, a systematic review has found evidence for gabapentin to provide pain relief for some patients with postherpetic neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy. Gabapentin is approved for the former indication in the US. In addition to these two neuropathies, European Federation of Neurological Societies guideline notes gabapentin effectiveness for central pain. A combination of gabapentin with an opioid or nortriptyline may work better than either drug alone. Gabapentin shows substantial benefit (at least 50% pain relief or a patient global impression of change (PGIC) "very much improved") for neuropathic pain (postherpetic neuralgia or peripheral diabetic neuropathy) in 30–40% of subjects treated as compared to those treated with placebo. Evidence finds little or no benefit and significant risk in those with chronic low back pain or sciatica"
  22. As long as some people are suspectable to infections or want to avoid the pollution, then masks will be worn. Be nice if they used a proper one and wore it correctly. Then they wouldn't look so silly.
  23. Making love, or having friends with benefits is disgusting ? That's a sad perception of one of life's enjoyments.
