I think there's a few different ones on YT, as remember another doing something else, possibly different brand safe ... like pushing # key repeated. Someone has the have the passcode, for 'user oops', forgetting, and surely it's not going to be the manager after midnight of before 6AM.
-
And don't lose your key, as a chickie friend of mine did in Mexico, and they had to tap/drill the lock, costing me a bit of pesos.

I don't think so. Haven't seen any premium E-MB here. Even those have limited range at highway speeds. https://www.thetechedvocate.org/which-electric-motorcycles-have-the-most-range/

I would think the reception safes are behind, in secure area, accessed only by 'trusted' employees. They will take responsibility for contents, I think.

I quite enjoyed that also, and I don't think there is a season 2. Think that was mini series, just the 6 eps.

go elsewhere. I got married in Krung Thep, divorced in Udon Thani. Seems like a silly request to me, as divorce was one of, if not the simplest thing I've had done here at the Amphur office.

Reception as in room safes are anything but.

And for those curious, list of power stations: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_power_stations_in_Thailand We actually had a coal plant below us. Couple huge solar farms down that way now. My EVs were made in CH, so yes, their problem ???? E-MB might have been made or assembled here, per their website. But I have seen the exact same scooter on sale, at the 'Made in CH' sites. Been to their 'manufacturing site' and looks a bit more like a warehouse, unless wrong place.

The complaint is about ground level, 'street' level exhaust fumes. Not sure where the coal burning, oil burning, electric generating plants are, but I don't think they are in metro Krung Thep, if any, as most electric is generated from natural gas in TH. Hence the hypocrisy, if using ICEVs while in TH. Actually, that last line use to be my signature. Not the fault of the EV owners, that the gov't & PEA/MEA is controlled by fossil fuel corporations. Not that we're all trying to save the planet, or all can even generate electric with solar or whatever other alternative. We can only control so much, and a few of us are lucky enough to use solar for our EVs. But I'm not going to complain about vehicle exhaust, and then hop in a ICEV without thinking I'm hypocrite..

So true, even here in TH. They voted for and accepted the referendum & Constitution that was presented to them. Have only themselves to blame if not satisfied.
-
Agree again, and not seeing any gouging. Or major changes in the past 20 years. Don't know where these people are living and experiencing all these changes.

Medicare A is free to be on, not sure how 'free' it is to use. B C D E and so on is silly priced, so healthcare, even with insurance in USA is not free, or close to it. And I do know better, that's why I left after 45 years. Again, USA is totally irrelevant to living in TH. Thais pay income tax, IF, their income justifies, just like the USA. Though irrelevant to any expat issues. Such an intelligent person, I'm assuming you knew all this before you came here, and now you want them to change it ..... FOR YOUR BENEFIT. You're guest, try to act like it. I don't get invited to someone's house, for a fish dinner, bring a botte of wine, and demand filet mignon ... because I brought the wine ... ????

When someone states the healthcare in TH or USA is free, because the gov't pays it, apparently not realizing where govt gets their money. Or says the locals here don't pay taxes, when VAT is applied to most purchases, one do have to wonder. Oh yea, they, some, many, also pay income taxes, depending on income, same as most countries. Imm & hospitals are probably thinking, rightfully so, that if you can't rustle up 800k to live here legally, you probably won't be paying any monthly payments to the hospital, if you didn't die, or hop the next plane back home, or if stayed in country.
-
He probably is home, in his/her/it's mother's basement, waiting for his PB&J sandwich & milk. If lucky, maybe a cookie and stay up late.
-
I guess you never heard of the VAT. Also guessing you don't live here, and lack any intelligent rational thinking ability. Talk to you're USA govt rep about free healthcare there. While at it, ask the why you don't get in TH. Again ... not the USA, it's TH. Shall we discuss the free healthcare you won't get in some of the other 200+ countries. Have a nice day, BYE BYE
-
2000 for me, and yes, that door swings both ways. Quite enjoying my stay also. If that changed, oh well, planes leave every day. I'm sure they'll save me a seat ????
-
With taxes collected from the citizens & visitors They get healthcare, almost free, because it's their country, their healthcare system, & their rules. Nothing anyone didn't or shouldn't have known before coming to TH. It's not the USA, it's TH. What the other 200+ countries do is completely irrelevant. If a Thai goes to the USA, they can't use their Gold Card (30 baht scheme), at the hospital, so what's different. The rest of your reply is too silly to even bother with.
-
To the title, easier to ask, 'What's so bad about TH?' Off top of my head, can't think of anything. Not a fan of dual pricing, but can't think of any where it is used, I need or want to see. USA (birth country) or TH, either one is fine with me. Presently, I think I'm happier here, and if that was to change, back to USA, or elsewhere, though can't see leaving TH is ever going to happen.
-
Maybe so when the expats goes to the hospital and runs up a 1M baht bill, maybe he/she/it will be able to pay some of it, before dying or leaving the bill to the locals. All the requirements were in place before we arrived, not much if anything has changed.
-
That will never be a concern of mine. My retirement was well planned. Intelligent, or even not so intelligent people do that, actually plan their retirement. YMMV
-
Too easy to make, as I've done more than a few times, whether making your own sausage or store bought. Wrap in store bought puff pastry, & Bob's your Uncle.
-
TH doesn't 'oust' anyone. That people plan poorly and can't afford to meet the minimum requirement, is not TH's fault. IF you can't muster up a mere 400k or 800k a year, you probably shouldn't leave the safety net of your home country. Nobody forced anyone to come or stay in TH. Not happy ... PLEASE LEAVE

@DonniePeverley Will you be using the EVs of public transportation, your own EV, or contributing to the local air pollution driving your own ICEV or using ICEVs when using public trans. ? Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform.
