  1. That would depend on one's mood at the moment. If wanting lobster ... but worked your 8-12 hours, just got home and no desire to go back out. Then a nice lobster munch on the veranda while the sun is setting at your home with all the comforts of, and no hassle of 'going out', then hell yea, delivery works. By the time it arrives, you're fresh out of the shower, with partner in robes ready to relax over some tails, before getting some tail. And no need to overpay for wine at the restaurant, or worry about Q, or poor seating, distracting diners. What's not to love ❤️
  2. With her ability to own land, we .... we made enough of the previous 2 sales of house & lots, that the present house, solar & EV, were all from profits made from those 2 sales, and only because of her. 3M+ baht saved, so her contribution was as much, or more than mine. As first house I paid for, only cost 800k. She sold it for 1.4M, after doing much of the touch up to make it marketable. She rolled that profit into 2nd house & land, with my contribution. Sold them, and repaid me, per se, then used profits for our present home & car. Without her, our oops fund, wouldn't look nearly as nice. I / we, actually have much more liquid assets than I came here with, and saving more everyday because she is in my life. Immeasurable contribution ... IMHO
  3. Irrelevant as the rule is, you can NOT own any shares, and says nothing about a controlling interest. Time, money & votes wasted on someone who can easily be disqualified from even holding his/her MP position. Not sure I'd want somebody that irresponsible heading the govt ... IMHO
  4. You would easily fit in our MG ZS, as I have heaps of headroom. Legs, not so sure, though I can stretch out completely, @ 175cm/5'9". Same price as comparable ICEVs, and a great value, IMHO. I thought there was plenty of headroom in the MG EP also, though it does sit a bit lower. My back isn't as flexible as most, so if I'm comfy getting in/out, nobody else should have much of an issue.
  5. And a pleasure to ride. I rarely used our Honda Wave, and seemed like only time I used it, was to top up fuel & air in tires ???? Sold it, and bought our E-MB, and wife is like ... 'what are you, F'g goofy, you never drove the Wave' And yet, I'm on the E-MB almost everyday, weather permitting. Go figure.
  6. Could simple be a pinched nerve. Chiro and simple neck adjustment may relieve the numbness. C-8 being the nerve root to the hands, I think
  7. Scary stuff ... I actually agree with one of your posts ????
  8. How could anyone not know about the shingles vaccine. Though personally, I would just go hang out with some kids with chicken pox, for that immune system booster.
  9. No need for 800k in bank, but application fee is 600k baht ... ????
  10. So the masses have to suffer because some idiots don't know how to drive across a simple RR crossing. Stop - Look - Listen, can be so challenging for some.
  11. Not really, as it depends on one's self marketability. Some need to pay, some don't. Yep, I'm all that, and a plate of somtam ????
  12. Not news, simply a bias op-ed. 'Miniscule' would be the hint of that. Sort of like a little bit pregnant. Most people own a miniscule of stocks available of any company. iTv has over 4 billion 'common' shares. 0.0035% of just common shares is 140,000 shares. For those not familiar with iTv's history, there's a couple familiar names attached to it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITV_(Thailand)
  13. You stated FF should only be 'on the road'. So now 'on the road' is any time you are outside. Delivery has been around for decades. Pizza, you concur with, but have you forgotten about all the other things that are or use to be delivered in days past. Milk, dairy, eggs bread, beer. Even the local grocer use to deliver. With today's congestion, petrol cost, 2 parents working, some not owning transport, or cost of using is a luxury, delivery simply makes sense. On the road, yes, but at home or during your daily routine, at work, delivered instead of using your lunch time 30-60mins to get & wait for food prepped. That some rely on delivery simply due to laziness, is their problem, but not everyone's. Along with the many, who simply aren't mobile any more. With many of the jobs being taken over by automated machinery, the employment force is slowly converting to service orientation. Not only to the HiSo, but to all.
  14. I took the red pill ????
  15. Hot Dog is labelled; hot dog or frankfurter, anything else, is not a hotdog, in the western world. Thais tend to call everything here a sausage. To westerners, Brats, Kielbasa, Banger or Sausages are not Hotdogs. Hotdogs have unique flavor and prep process, using ice water to form an emulsion, to get the texture correct. Why it looks like rolled up bologna instead of chopped meat.
  16. Yes, most Thais aren't ordering their dinner from KFC, McD, or BK. Pizza Co does a brisk delivery business though, especially 2 for 1 months, if allowed on delivery.
  17. How can you not see the boat, and then not see that it is capsized after the watersport hits it?
  18. Anyone, any age, as I got here @ 45, after the divorce here, all of 47, still wouldn't bother with P4P, as too easy and more enjoyable to go to the buffet ???? Personality dependent of course, if you have one.
  19. Yea, I don't think I ever ordered from a fast food chain, as if getting something delivered, means I'm in a metro area, and sure to be a KFC (wing zap) or 7-11 within walking distance. The only FF chains I eat from. Jones Salad (never close) or a ma/pa vendor usually, when in Krung Thep. Even that is rare, and I have to be really lazy. Usually plenty of food near hotels that we stay at, as a priority when choosing. Locally at home, we're just a wee bit too far, from local vendors for delivery. Though easy to hop on the scooter, to pick something up about 5 ish mins away.
  20. phones are ฿350 each (service & fast int) and house int is 631 a month.
  21. I saw a good YT review of that. ???? I'm hoping the Baojun E300 makes it to TH, and reasonably priced. Looks too cool not to buy. Another SAIC-GM-Wuling product.
  22. Aside from feeding ourselves, easily done w/฿300 a day, as we eat in 90% of the time. So <฿10k a month. Other mandatory bills, just 3 really: ฿1500 ph & int ฿150 water ฿100 PEA ? TTL ฿1750 Solar & EVs eliminate the other monthly bills most have. When the not so wee one was in Uni, she got ฿35k a month, been out for 2 yrs now.
  23. shh ... keep that to yourself ???? I know we don't spend that much a month, all in. 10-15k at most. Although she has had a delivery come almost every day this past week. OK, one was coffee, and another dog treats. Up to Hua Hin tomorrow (100 kms away) as she wants another pair of trainers. Only real extra expense she cost me, is feeding & clothing, along with some lotions now & then. But I save on maid, groundskeeper, cook, translator, hospital and govt service 'agent' ???? Saves me a bundle, and those other 'bennys' ????
  24. That depends entirely on where the vendors is, my mood, along with, how much strolling around have I already done today. I get plenty of exercise, locally and when O&A. Walking around the polluted roads (Suk) of Krung Thep is far from healthy exercise.
  25. But your gf/wife, didn't agree to be with you, only after a salary was agreed upon. You have actual mutual interest in being together, not simply paid to be there. That's an employee, nothing wrong with that, just find that not as fulfilling, as no emotional attachment. Doesn't interest me at all. If something was to happen to me, and we spent all our money on a health issue (I'd never let happen), I'm pretty sure, she'd stick around and take care of me, and if not able to financially, then surely her family would assist. A shared relationship not built on salary.
