If never having chickenpox, then you certainly don't/didn't need the vaccine. If that's the one you are referring to. Also don't bother with any of the vaccines since early childhood, and don't seem to get any of the symptoms coming with those illnesses. Rarely got a flu, and if covid, one day runny nose, as symptom of last variant or so. Apparently a decent immune system. Tetanus, but that's way over due for booster.

Thinking of making this the last time I quit drinking- but one problem!
KhunLA replied to Scouse123's topic in General Topics
Can't say I quit or ever will, as do enjoy it occasionally. But in complete control of it, actually, past 15 yrs rarely open a 2nd (490ml). That's only once or twice a month, and usually revolves around what I'm eating, not social setting. I stopped buying slabs of beer, as simply takes too long to drink, and don't like drinking any beer over 6 months old. Getting pass social/peer pressure can be a challenge, but wasn't for me. I have no problem sipping water as others indulge. I would question anyone's friendship, who persisted to pressure me other wise. Give me a strange look, ask 'who are you, and what did you do with LA ?', but don't pester me to get drunk. Again, never had problem with them type of folks. In the lounges, sit facing away from the alcohol ... I have hard time turning down free crap also, especially if I like it ???? -
EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread

Plugged in this AM, @ 38% after yesterday's total driving to Hua Hin & abouts. Using solar, and that will take about 13 hrs to top up, so 2 days. Not an issue for us, as have E-MB to use, which I do anyway, usually for my daily park/surfside cruises. Could always just plug into the grid, using the free, installed wall charger/cable that came with the MG. That PEA rate for us is about ฿3.5kWh, since we don't use much, if at all. Would only take 4 hrs. If in hurry, 3 CS within 5 kms of us, if wanting to top up in <1 hr @ ฿7.5 kWh. -
Neighbour murdered in Phetchaburi over claims of infidelity

Adults needing advise how to buy clothes ... hmm If off the rack doesn't work for you, it doesn't for me, though TBH, I don't really care, as hate tight fitting clothes. Standing 175cm/5'9", w/18 neck and 46-48 chest/shoulders/jacket size, every off the rack shirt, thinks my waist should be 50+ and my arms another half meter longer ???? With that .... find a good tailor, as they don't cost much more, if at all, than a quality shirt off the rack. I use to order pants on line, same scenario, short legs, me, but they hemmed them up for free, and why I stuck with 2 vendors for a long time (USA). I actually bought a sewing machine, to do alterations myself. Now the wife makes all my clothes ???? Problem solved ????

Mine will do 90, I've had up to 87 kph, and will go just as far, which I have no desire to be on a scooter that long. Please let me know how eco friendly petrol production/transport/using is ? Such a silly comparison. Energized with solar ... ???? My ebke will do 40+kph, and go way further than I need or want to, 50 kms so far, with plenty of reserve. Although I'm thinking your ebike serves it's purpose perfectly, but feel free to cry about it. Or didn't you buy it for some other reason, and or not read the specs.

Yes, and do learn the 'signs' of early detection, on the skin .... a rash. May progress much like sunburn, with small moist bubble, which you want to start taking one of these, acyclovir, famciclovir, or valacyclovir, ASAP, as may lessen any long term symptoms. That's a very small window (3days) to start above treatment, in hopes of lessening symptoms, especially long term. Luckily, here/TH, they are available OTC & inexpensive. Hopefully, unlike myself, start before the bubbles appear. Mine was on my back, mid way, and affected a nerve coming around to my chest. If it kicks in, you'll think you are having a heart attack. 14 yrs later, and I still get a little tinge of discomfort. But for about 5 yrs or more, it was very uncomfortable when it flared up. I tried a sh!tload of drugs, and none really did anything. Some of those had some nasty warnings, as being drugs for schizos ???? made just for me, and still didn't help. Powerful stuff, so don't self medicate, unless you have a lot, a lot, a lot of experience doing so.

KhunLA replied to Neeranam's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Can't remember last time I had a radio on, at least 23 years. Never at home, and when in the car, that's my quiet time, or I'm playing music I select. Never force fed. -

I wouldn't think so, as immunity/antibodies long forgot how to fight. Hence the new exposure thought. Bit of a booster. Help, maybe, hurt, no.

Then demand would surely dictate stocking such products, and expected. When they start discarding more than their profit margin ... oh well. I saw this happen in Udon Thani before Villa Market arrived. Chains took on the suggestion of stocking western products, then got rid of most them, as not profitable to bother with. Our Makro here at Muang, PKK doesn't have nearly the amount of western brands as the one in Hua Hin, and quite understandable. I'm actually surprised they keep as much dairy & cheeses in stock as they do.

Is it the tourist's fault that their taxes paid are not utilized properly for the island's residents? They don't complain with the influx of money that allows for their lifestyle & earnings, or do they/residents all want to fish & farm for a living? If the tourist stop coming, there goes their income and tax base to fund assistance.

Mixed thought on stories like this. I hate that the USA is the world's police force at times, especially if not asked to enter a country & help, or encourage a regime change, for the elite, instead of the citizens of a country. But the tyranny of some 'govts' is simply mind boggling. I think it's not 'our' fight, and why don't the people rebel. Are the male dominated societies that heartless, or are they simple defenseless. Then I think, USA, and the 2nd Amendment was a damn good idea, and kudos for the fore thought. (not to start a 2nd Amendment debate...please, as off topic). Although, if you watch the news, every Afghan is walking around with an AK. Seriously, apart from invading & occupying again, before, during or after another regime change, what other options does the rest of the countries have to assist countries like this. USA has a hard enough time taking care of itself, technically bankrupt as it is, taking on more debt due to foreign aid, some needed, some just silly. Sanctions & the UN are total useless. The hypocrisy of the UN, trying to stop the atrocities, while supplying all the weapons to enable them. Yea, back to the 5 permanent members of the 'Security Council', the ultimate oxymoron, as being 5 of the top arms suppliers of the world. Really have no solution to the problem, just thinking out loud.

I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around the 'unauthorized' part of the RR crossings. They are gov't roads, constructed and maintained by, but the op-ed calls them 'unauthorized' Even the crossing in photo was RR warning lights???? Is it possible for Thaiger to actually start reporting things that are real and or helpful to people. The topic should start with "Thaiger: Thailand’s railway safety upgrade: 693 unauthorised crossings to be rerouted" Note to self: scroll down for source before reading. Ignore as needed to avoid frustration. ????
