Nothing wrong with the USA, that isn't wrong with most other countries. A little too PC for my liking, but easy to deal with. I didn't leave the USA for any of the reason mentioned, or wouldn't return because of any of the reasons mentioned Same as anywhere, you will only experience the negatives, if you allow yourself to be exposed to them, same as here or anywhere. More PC, and taxes are higher in USA, and that's the only 2 negatives for me. Taxes in USA, are much cheaper than other western countries. Find both less so than the rest of the western world. So USA wins over any other place, western first world countries. Hindsight, if only having 2 choices to live, USA or TH .. TH wouldn't even be considered. Although to live at the same financial comfort as I do here/TH now, I would have simple bought a few more houses, maybe 5 to rent out, and live quite comfy in the USA. There's so much more to do & see in the USA, it would be impossible to be bored. Self entertaining in Thailand is a challenge sometimes. USA scenery & temperate zone weather, just a couple more pluses. Scenery wise, TH has limestone karsts, and that's about it. They are lovely though. Besides being too lazy, and older, with no great desire to return, my daughter & wife, along with being quite settled, keeps me here. That's all. Without them, I quite possibly wouldn't be here. 45 yrs was enough in USA, though could think of plenty to keep me busy if I returned till I cra pped out. 22 yrs has been enough in Thailand. Except mentioned, no real reason to stay. Negatives for TH, HOT .... DAMN HOT, and a really small country. Both are excellent choices, but like marriage, till death do you part ... hmm.

Olive oil does not start to congeal at 24C ... not even close. Not till about 12C or less.

Moved here at 45, now 67. Know a few that were younger than myself when I got here, along with a few in 70s back then. Know a couple now in their 80s. Know too many that have passed on, both old age & having an oops.

You should seriously research and consider using one of the 360 camera, since using for MB touring.

People living in fear & ignorance, how do you function. Land office doesn't care who gets the money or how transferred, even if transfer/paid. They don't care. Only money they care about, is if they know a foreigner is involved somewhere, w/buyer, that he/she/it, signs his/her/it's rights away, and money not from he/she/it, and he/she/it has no rights to property value/equity if sold, or at divorce settlement. PERIOD All the land office cares about is who is selling, ID of, (POA - done) and who is buying, ID of. Nothing else. Only concern about money is, pay the tax & xfr fee. NEXT

Mexico is huge & diverse, for both weather & landscape. Would be easy to find a place that suits anyone, away from the negatives.

My Sony is @6000, no flip screen. I'm a Sony fan, and mirrorless only. Have 3 of their APS-C bodies, @6000 & two @6400. I would stick with Sony or Canon, as they'll be around for some time. Others are not doing very well. Simply getting a new iPhone or Google Pixel would also be a very good option, as both have amazing cameras. Probably better & easier to use for indoor photo & vlogging/vids. Phone is as good or better for most things, except wildlife. Negative about phones, they are not designed to last, battery wise, as few now have removable batteries, or if so, will they be available 3-4-5 yrs from now. They really can't improve the phone/camera any more than they are, so force you to buy new ones, because your battery c r a p p e d out. That's just sad. I just threw away 3 phone (moving & found) and all were replaced due to battery being unavailable. Time for upgrades, since old, but, not a necessity to replace if battery was available. Last phone I bought, one of the last good ones I could find with a nice Sony sensor & removeable battery.

As long as the POA states so. That mirrors the exact selling of my first house/land here. I used POA (1st wife/divorced from) to sell house to another foreigner's wife. Coincidentally, also did the payment, most of, USD to USD in our USA banks, with a we bit of THB at settlement. All went smooth, no lawyers involved, just me & POA, wife of buyer & RE agent that I listed with, at the land office. If land office accepts POA, then would imagine it's legal to use. Ex-wife was not there or needed for anything. That was done at Udon Thani.

If using higher rated panel, then about 10 panels + 5kW inverter would be plenty for most households for daytime use, then using grid overnight. We went with 8kW hybid inverter w/10kW ESS battery for overnight. Which is perfect for us, IF, wanting to be OFF grid. Still connected to the grid, and after a week of testing being Off Grid, we're now using grid overnight. A cloudy, rainy week as it's been since installed, and our system is perfect for the house, Off Grid. On sunny day, it's overkill, and using the grid at night, it's really overkill ... ???? We could have easily went with 5kW inverter, no ESS , using grid for overnight. Would have halved our installation cost, which was not DIY. We use 5kW over night, which would take our normal PEA monthly bill down to <฿600. That would be down from the past year of ฿2500-3200 a month. You would need about 25m² of roof, using the panels we did, 540w. 1 panel being just over 2m²

Just order 3pcs Zig Zags on LAX; 30 x 3 + 45 = ฿135. Arrive in couple days. Busted up about 10gr for about 10 doobies, and only got 4 seeds. Which is fine, as not having any luck growing. Good buds were silly priced at $200 oz thirty yrs ago. Thankfully I never had to buy. Is it better ... maybe. Is it 50X better ???? Smoked a gram yesterday, testing my 'nighttime' into 'daytime buds. 3pm till midnight, with a short nap in there, and munchies. Only 1 doobie & 1 beer (490ml)... 14 + 50 = ฿64 buzz ... just lovely

If overnighting it, then the Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid (ex-Sofitel), was our go to place. Use to get my 'income statement' there, even though living in UT, just to stay at the hotel. Timing always worked out good also. Great brekkie buffet (included) & decent in-house brewery. Which we (I) got 2 beers (welcome drinks) with reservation. Depends on which Imm office used. Udon Thani & Hua Hin, I withdrew all as soon as extension approved. That doing the lump sum, seasoned for 2 months prior to ext. That was 20 years on, most current 2019/20 ext @ HH. If doing DD + savings, the HH Imm requires you to leave 400k in all year, IF, doing DD + saving combo. Which for me was silly, as married, and can do 400k DD and use all as needed, or savings & withdraw, doing marriage ext. So if lump sum, married, take out all after approved. Now I'm on DD (2021/22), so maintaining a balance is irrelevant. Marriage ext now, to be change to Ret in Nov this year, I think.
