What’s needed to buy car in Thailand
Considering what a CoR is needed for, then he or she is an idiot, and didn't do any research before moving here. Would explain why so many fail. Thinking of moving to TH ... hmm, what do I need? I'll just find out when I get there ... what could go wrong. First question I asked prospective landlord is... ... will you do TM30, and can I submit lease to Imm The very basic needed to live in TH long term.

Thailand brings in elephant patrols to protect tourists in Ayutthaya as visitor numbers fall
I call them discussions, until it's obvious the other party is simply a troll, and attacks the messenger instead of the message, then simply put them on the ignore list. Suggesting you do a little research, to rid your ignorance, isn't exactly argumentative. You're never to old to learn. BYE BYE

Another move to keep kids stupid,
That's just sad. I witnessed a similar situation at the high school I graduated from. When I attended, it serve two towns, the one it was located, and the town next to it. The school was rated #2 in the state, from the 'top'. Shortly afterward, 2 more towns were integrated into a 'new' school district. New taxes of course to build the new school. Not to be racist, but the one town, very large, was predominately black, and the other joined, predominantly white. Prior to this, the school had 3 black students ... ever, 2 were my friends & his sister, one my neighbor. We used to walk to school together, which go me labeled as a N-lover 🤣 Sadly, the joining new students, couldn't keep up, so instead of providing help, with all those new taxes, they simply lowered the grade / point average requirements to pass. Still rated #2 in the state ... but from the 'bottom'

Does anyone know if America sending anti air missiles to israel is affecting US supplies to Ukraine?
I read as past tense, and you were implying they have already stopped 1000s of rockets this past few weeks... ... "which has had to defend against thousands of rockets" Just the potential danger, which couldn't be stopped anyway, as doubt if they have enough launchers, let alone rockets. They only hold 20 rocket per launcher. I'm kind of hoping Israel loses this battle and leaves the Middle East permanently. Maybe USA can give them New Jersey. Then the Palestinians can live in peace once again. Hey, one can always dream ... 😎

So you're a big fan of animal abuse. You may want to research what it takes to make an elephant fear man, so that it can be controlled.

My DD to BBL comes in as 'retirement funds', and fall under the 'tax treaty' as untaxable. No worries here mate Bob's Your Uncle- how about a tax avoiidance topic
We are talking about a country, that can't even enforce traffic ticket payment. As millions every year just bin their citations with NO repercussions ... so far.- how about a tax avoiidance topic
More 'what IF' scenarios ... 😎 Flights leave every hour, all day long. Choose wisely- how about a tax avoiidance topic
Can't see that happening. You put your 400k or 800k in the bank, then live of ATM withdrawals, tax free. Don't think they are going to invest that much time & manpower on the few expats here. They're after the Thais with big bucks overseas. Who are they to say you spend more to live than a minimum wage Thai. Besides, most here, legally, are married, retired or working. If earning, then you probably should get taxed if wanting to live here. You have choices.- Government to promote production and use of EVs in Thailand

Mind boggling the ignorance of the non EV owners preaching their BS to EV owners. Equate it to a vegan, telling me how to cook a beef steak 🤣- Whats the meaning of life?
Spread as many smiles as possible, while enjoying your own 😁- Stolen Credit Card Numbers
Your bank/CC company sucks. Mine got skimmed at an ATM, and security features kicked in when attempted to use, and bank (broker/VISA) cancelled the card, and mailed me a new one, to TH, even though my account address is USA....free.- Old age pensions of the World
I know that. I just didn't want it to turn into a political sh!t show thread, and thankfully it didn't. THANKS FOLKS for refraining from those thoughts 👍- Shipping ID and credit cards from Thailand to Canada
Personally, I would simple send ThaiPost, registered w/signature, though you'll never get the signature thingy, as I never have. But assume they track it better. Private courier services are silly priced. It won't get much slower if at all slower. Have her put a 'hold' on her cards, till she receives. No real safety issue. And yes, FedEx and others do send CC to TH, as I've received once as a emergency replacement. Along with renewals (sent USA post) with no issues. Also no issues, as you have to activate the cards on arrival.- Old age pensions of the World
I took company pension early, as rolling the dice, that I'll crap out before 75. Live longer, and it was a bad idea, but only about 12.5k a month at 35.5/$1. loss. Soc Sec was irrelevant, as been collecting (disability) for 22+ yrs, since 46 yrs old. Agree, they want you to wait, as they know, most will die. I've posted this before, and accurate #s from IAM union. I know they disperse 18 months of retirement checks on average to NWA employees, (now DL) and in my job classification, only 11 months worth 😲 Meaning most would not have made it to my age. That's why retirement funds are underfunded, (for those thinking about 70s & 80s) as they know, they'll never never need to pay out that much.- how about a tax avoiidance topic
ATM withdrawals, and how could they tell the difference from someone living here, or a tourist. For those with a home country bank account, and simple solution. Another would be, if wanting to deposit in your Thai bank, move funds in home country bank to a 401k/retirement fund account, and bring in that way, as most tax treaties don't tax retirement funds/accounts. Best to read your countries tax treaty w/TH. Along with next year, being 2 full months away, so you could bring over quite a bit now if wanting.- Government to promote production and use of EVs in Thailand
Again, far from rich, even on a Thai standard. You haven't been to the malls here in years, and plenty of luxury cars parked in the VIP sections, along SUVs, real ones, everywhere. Family, Thai, all got new cars and or multiple cars, and not 3 generations living in same house. Same applies everywhere, people make choice, apply themselves & succeed financially in life. MSM doom & gloom isn't always the reality. They're making them & people are buying them. I don't see too many beaters on the highway, countrywide. First 4 cars were inexpensive, as entry level, 'made in TH'. 3 being < 550k 1 cost < 700k Even the last one, EV, is priced same or less than some 'made in TH' ICEVs. The Toyota Cross cost more than the MG ZS EV, and a bit more, since MGs price drop. Held 3 for 6-7 yrs, so far from a new car every couple years.- Does anyone know if America sending anti air missiles to israel is affecting US supplies to Ukraine?

"People don't buy new cars" ... and yet, I'm on my 5th in 21 yrs. Many buy a new one every 2 or 3ish years. Total car sales (2022) - 848k new car sales (2022) - 348k "If electric cars were truly a cost effective alternative there would be no need to actively promote them.
