Listen to the sea, checking Russian babies and Thais and enjoyed pretty quiet surroundings. There are very little folk on the streets but hotels are fully booked. Strange. What I saw in California Americans are very tense. They worry all the time. They also have good reason to it: of 20 Cards in accordion wallet only 1 has something left to use. Rest are permanently full tilt... and 30% interest running 24/7. Cash? Only one torn up $ 20 bill "in case". Of what? Aussies? They come relaxed, smiling and rent V8 Hot Rod at LAX. Put top down and let it rip! Every light is like LeMans start. They enjoy life. Hell to worry how to pay the trip later! Only thing they ever complain "No Vegemite", what ever that poison is.

Off topic; I walked by your bar and wondered was it you sleeping on the curb side table 7am this morning? Nobody seemed mind. I like that. To have a bar where you do thing like home. This fellow had firm grip to one of the 3 beer bottles on the table, while in coma like sleep, and I'm sure he was ready to continue when coming out of it. I could not tell if he was an Aussie or Kiwi.

I love to manage in new situations, like: One day I was at Big-C. I bought box of Danish cookies and paid by 1000 B. I saw receipt and change coming out of the machine, young guy gave them to me, took both and walked to the hotel. Only then counted money and 500 B was missing! WTF - "I got cheated!" I took my camera (has been a good trick to start taking pics and speed up disputes in past) and walked back to the Big-C. Went to the Customer Service, controlling my anger and voice well, and told to two young girls what happened. At that point I was 100% sure the boy cheated me. "Well, don't worry - we go to check the dispenser. Maybe your money still is there!" one of the nice gals said calmly. Sure enough - she comes back and hands 500 B cash to me! I was full happiness. it wasn't much money but the principal NOT to get cheated means a lot to me. I also felt a little shame how easily I thought they cheated me - quite understandable. She explained; The boy was new and set limit to give cash back was set at 500 B per transaction. I got only 261 B back. The boy either didn't know or forgot. So, an other proof to love Thailand - very honest people! I've seen that before BUT also how greedy Thais can be. Oh, forgot the point: All this without common language! Neither gal spoke any English. All via translations app. I've had similar adventures in may countries and will have more. Exciting.

They used to have 2-stroke engines = lots of pollution and noise! Then 4-stroke = not so much. Now electric = zeri pollution.

Back to Jomtien and I am happy! Fresh air (or fresher), less noise and beautiful beach front to walk. I am in heaven, again. I miss many gals I met in and around On Nut and Bangna. I hope they come to visit. I found bus stops along the route from Ekkamai. They seemed to think "no problem" to take a bus. Try that in the ol' USA! They'd spit on you.

I don't fly to sleep, eat or drink fancy way. One time I tried 1st class by upgrading my cattle class ticket. I wanted to see how bill gates of the world travel 😉 It was on Air France, LA to Paris, and the only one who still had 1st class to Europe. Eating lasted 4+ hours. Chef w tall white hat came to take specific orders what and how to prep. I had no clue what to say or order so I told him that and "Do what you want, I trust you!" He took me under his wing and make many small portions to try and came back often to ask if I liked. Everything was awesome! I had lived in France so I could some French to thank him in French. He liked that. We were only 6 in the first. Some rich fat bozos were clearly jealous of attention I got 🙂 Then came champagne selection (that time I liked to drink). Again, I didn't know what to order and WHAT YEAR, like others. So, I told pretty stewardess "pick me something, please, I got no clue". She said "try them all" and opened 6 (!) bottles, maybe 400-500 usd each. I later checked, all had been top shelve stuff. All were heavenly good! I had tried champagne before but lower quality. We all got pretty wasted and they thanked me getting to taste all 6! We finished them all plus what they had ordered. Would I do it again? Sure, but not to pay much extra.

Thank god you are not.... We got enough selfish idiots already who'd let kids and people go sick to day care, school, work place, transportations and cause 1000x more expenses by spreading illnesses.

I spent 2 winters in Gran Canaria. Loved the weather, always perfect, but $ 130 a night compared to $ 20-30 same level hotels in Th and Vn makes me return to Asia. Also getting nice female company (regular chicas, no putas) will cost lot of more. Time and money. Or simply won't happen...

Voting menu overlooked the biggest reason to come and/or stay; Women... To me the otters are; good weather Oct 15 - March 15. Real cheap to live, great cheap food and (did I already mention?) Women.

Sorry no idea. Don't go to meat market. Regular working gals come to my hotel for chocolate cake and coffee/tea. I pay. Then we talk how to save whales, African people and animals, stop world wars, save plants and birds, reduce trash and bad air. ...then we f-----!
