  1. I know but if you came to Bangkok, maybe for a day out you could call in and have a look.
  2. Could be but I would find that hard to believe. If it is true it is one of the very few electronic devices which cannot be changed.
  3. Get tough, good idea, but what about a policeman I saw today riding on the side walk? He didnt think it was illegal.
  4. If you are in Bangkok then Zeer Rangsit would be worth a try
  5. Can you actually remove the battery without taking the phone to pieces? Years ago you could easily change it not they are an integral part of the circuitry.
  6. As Brando said when asked "What are you rebelling against?" his reply was "What have you got?"
  7. I have from Lloyds bank received the same. Not much use if like me you work overseas and keep the card in case you need a quick exit from the country. Quick exit as in the case of civil unrest or similar.
  8. Why dont the authorities make these places have a sprinkler system installed which has to be checked on a regular basis?
  9. It is about time they did raise the flag fall price. For as long as I can remember and I was in Thailand before the taxi's had meters, it has been Baht 35. With the cost of fuel higher it is reasonable to increase the start price.
  10. I dont know about that location but where I live in Bangkok the garbage trucks drive slowly even on the main road. Sounds more likely the guys on the motorbike were somewhat intoxicated and ran into the truck.
  11. The camera does it. Look at photos with writing and many you will see the writing is back to front.
  12. The camera flips the photo that is all
  13. You cant record a number plate on the CCTV (assuming they work which is unlikely) if they dont have a number plate. As for the rider agreed you cant take what they dont have but you can take the bike and send it to the crushers.
  14. It should never have been allowed so there should not be the need to ban it. You cannot drive and use a phone at the same time.
  15. How does that work with motor cycles that do not have number plates?
  16. You don't need to install software to do it. Yes there are apps which do provide this function but you can be tracked without it.
  17. Tracking is possible for all mobiles not just Thai mobiles and it does not disappear if you switch the device off.
  18. With countries suffering high cost of living and Thailand making demands on visas etc what did you expect? Add to this double pricing and you have a good receipt at least for disaster.
  19. Ummm dubious this one. No Baht 100,000 gold necklace stolen. This could be just a wind up.
  20. If that is the case then we can say goodbye to Bangkok. It will take 80 years just to agree to get actual experts in to resolve the issue. The resistance to getting anyone who is not a Thai national will be tremendous despite the fact there is no one in the country who can work out the solution. if there is why have they not resolved this problem a long time ago?
  21. It happened then and it will happen again. No amount of stupidity will stop it.
  22. NO I am referring to people using what few cells they have between their ears.
  23. Get International Roaming on your phone. DTAC only have to activate it but it will cost you a couple of thousand Baht I would guess.
  24. Pakistan and Bangladesh experience sever flooding every year. Many of the casualties and sad as it is are people building in valleys and low lying areas.
