Would you use counterfeit RAM modules?
If the bogus RAM passes the physical tests, what's the issue? No sticker? And what's wrong with saying Shopee and Lazada? OK, got my kevlar on. Go ahead.

Can someone pls change my username?
May as well try and create a new account with the old username? Maybe the old TV username hasn't been migrated, so doesn't exist as far as AN is concerned? Would seem a lot quicker than trying to find a plug that's fallen out of the back. I doubt any old messages or threads will be awaiting rediscovery.

Trump wins Iowa caucuses, cementing frontrunner status in 2024 race
Exactly. When America s**ts the bed, the world has to lie in it. At least we know Sleepy Joe wears them big boy Pampers.

I don't think there's a vacancy for Scottish leadership at the moment.

KInda like the Baltimore Ravens being the perpetual hot pick for the Super Bowl where in reality, the Dirty Birds QB has only ever won 1 playoff game?

Risk of bursting washing machine water hose?
The only hoses that have experienced blowing out are the braided ones from the half-inch water risers under the kitchen and bathroom sinks to the taps. This was in a rental house that was maybe 7 or 8 years old. A couple blew out within a few weeks of each other, so I replaced the lot, including the feeds to the toilet cisterns. The Thai landlord agreed they were probably a cheap batch used by the builder during construction and reimbursed me. Never seen any appliance feed hoses blow out though.

Thai AirAsia merger grounded till 2027
The same reason the merger of Spirit and JetBlue in the US has been knocked back by Federal regulators. They cited that customers that currently benefit from Spirit's unique low-cost structuring will lose out.

Can't get my head around it.
Good info. As global air travel consolidates and builds, maybe they'll keep this one running year-round this time?

Converting Multi-Entry Non-O (Savannakhet) to a Retirement Extension, - during the final 90-day entry allowed beyond the actual visa expiry date.
Not confusing at all. The OP is asking if a conversion specifically to RetExt can be done after the visa itself has expired, but he is still in-country legally on the 90-day entry afforded just before the visa expired. If there was a financial issue, the OP will have mentioned it but by already establishing contact with a Pattaya agent, it looks like that's already being addressed. If the OP wanted a Marriage Extension, he wouldn't have created a thread specifically named Converting Multi-Entry Non-O (Savannakhet) to a Retirement Extension. Perhaps the OP doesn't want all the pedantic, bureaucratic overkill, including the wait period that the "budget" Marrriage Extension brings to the table?

Can't get my head around it.
Excellent. Here's hoping they do keep the flights going for the whole year as the global air travel market gets back in stride. The add-ons are passenger service charges, airport fees, security charges, taxes (from both ends) plus, plus. It's a pretty standard but unique set of add-ons depending on the origin and destination. Always been that way. I am on a very low bandwidth satellite connection so can't get the airfare breakdown, but if you check out matrix.itasoftware.com/search and type in your PER-BKK flights and select the TG flight, that should throw up a page that gives a precise breakdown of the airfare being quoted. Matrix isn't a booking website, but it's very good for finding flights and checking airfares.

Can't get my head around it.
My experience with TG non-stop services BKK-PER in 2022/23 was they get expensive and overbooked fast, even Business Class. Also, it was seasonal service, so if that's still the case, maybe not available for most of the year.

60 day tourrist visa problem
A bit strange, but maybe just give them details of the flight(s) he took from the UK to the US, as well as the flight itinerary from the US to Thailand. The fact that he's a UK national living/working in the US may be lost on the pedants at the MFA processing the visa.

Vietnam retirement
It's OK. I have lived and worked in Vietnam too. My post was tongue-in-cheek viz the recent events here in Thailand.

Pot industry pushes back against draft law that would put an end to Thailand’s cannabis revolution
My ex-wife was Laotian. Not the best by any means, but certainly right up there with them.

Pot industry pushes back against draft law that would put an end to Thailand’s cannabis revolution
It doesn't "cause" paranoia in non susceptible people but it multiplies it in paranoid schizophrenics. Marijuana use in schizophrenic teens has terrible outcomes. Precisely the same reason why in the US, guns in themselves don't cause people to 'go postal' unless they're paranoid schizophrenics already.

Vietnam retirement
Bummer. I guess the OP's just gonna have to bite the bullet, stay here in Thailand, give up weed and pay taxes.

My blood test
Are U saying I could have HIV? What are the symptoms? @Ralf001 is very good. He's a frequent contributor over in the motors forum too. "What does it mean when your monocytes are high? A high monocyte level may indicate inflammation, infection, blood disorders, and other health issues. Along with other types of white blood cells, monocytes are a key element of your immune response. High levels can result from a range of issues, including: leukemia." "Should I be worried if my monocytes are high? A high monocyte count is a potential sign of many different medical conditions. It's often linked to infectious diseases like mononucleosis or an autoimmune disease like lupus. Some medications can cause monocytosis. It's also linked to conditions such as blood disorders and certain cancers." Google (and your doctor) is your friend.

Pot industry pushes back against draft law that would put an end to Thailand’s cannabis revolution
Does anyone trust their government anywhere not to flip-flop on policy? The last thing I would ever depend on is "government support". As for lobbyists and paying off senators, I think it's called vested interests buying senators in Thailand. This is a inter-party, factional fisticuffs between a couple of over entitled cliques. Nobody involved really gives a hoot if cannabis-related businesses go to the wall or if the tourist numbers drop (like they ever increased due to pot legalization anyway).

My blood test
Did you get these tests done standalone at a lab with their auto-diagnosis or, have you discussed this with your regular doc, GP, etc.?
