It’s almost always people who have been manipulated by the current owner and/or an agent. Some guys are very charismatic and confident and they play potential buyers catering to their weaknesses. Just seeing a for sale sign and deciding on your own is rare, but if you ever do that you know you have made a good decision.

I came to the uncomfortable realization several years back that my dad never said anything meaningful to me the entire time. No advice, encouragement, nothing. Just a wall of silence. Whatever I thought him to be was made up in my own head. Even to this day he just sits there watching tv mostly. ????????‍♂️

He will be put out to pasture in the German beer garden.

But the owner needs to return to home country for health or family reasons ????

Thailand is not the right place for you if you need big box store grocery shopping with the full shopping carts and you’re cooking meals. It’s too expensive for the ingredients and not worth it. I am from the USA and used to live that way. It’s different here.

Is it just me or are there worries about shellfish and seafood from Thai waters? If it’s around Pattaya I would not want to be eating seafood from that water.

I don’t think goth is very popular here. Maybe juju nightclub on soi Baukao??

I would pass on bringing older relatives to Pattaya. It’s just not the right place for that. Maybe rent a week at a nice resort in a National park around Phuket or Samui or something.

What happened?

Feels quieter and peaceful where I am. Must be because all the employees that linger around all day have gone home and/or some of the shops are closed. Wish it was always like this. Very peaceful.

I think it’s their lack of interaction with others as well. Seems like they don’t talk or look at others in any way. Try talking to a Russian and see what happens.

Im not sure, but at least they have a menu. I would be comfortable walking right in and ordering a whiskey without having to do an interview on everything they have first. Could be a solution! Find bars that have posted prices instead of expecting them to offer a menu after I go in and sit down. It could work.

Yep ????‍♂️ Op does not just want to see a menu, he wants to find something on the menu worth ordering.

When a guy is real comfortable at the pool showing his tan off to other guys I know he’s European if he’s overweight and avoids eye contact and says nothing and had thong swimwear he’s Russian at the pool if he is under a tree or umbrella he’s Thai if he’s drinking a corona extra and has a brown stain on his underwear, that’s a Mexican

they are large and sit by the pool all day.

Keep traveling ????????‍♂️. When money runs short or old age gets closer you settle down out of necessity and talk about the old days. That’s how things work here.

When family got that way with me I simply stopped responding and no longer allow the messages through. It’s worked out great so far ????????‍♂️, but I guess some holiday I will have to face the music if they are still intent. Nothing a couple glasses of wine won’t fix for another 11 months of peace.

It also gives people a chance to order a quality beer, if available. They can get more stock in as demand rises. I think many guys just order a Leo or a Chang because there’s no menu and it’s easier to just have the staff understand “Leo” after walking around in the sun all day. Always wondered why these top blokes were sitting there with cheap beers.

If there’s no price menu they can charge whatever they want at the end. I’d rather know beforehand, especially if it’s not just one beer and I’m there for awhile. Most places will put out the chit for each drink, but it’s after I order. They don’t all have the same 4 beers. Some places have tiger, others don’t, one may have corona or beer Lao, others don’t. With no menu I am drinking Leo instead of the beer Lao just because it’s an easy understood order. I could go look in the freezer myself which I sometimes do. You get the idea.
