Reminds me of the nazi concentration camps where they make everyone get in different lines. One line goes to the work camp, one to the gas chamber, one to the rice field, ask the gestapo.

You don’t get a reply every time with anything. Ever say hello to someone and they just ignore you? Does it matter what the reason is? A wai is no different. There’s no reason it has to be reciprocated in Thailand.

I would go in. Could be food poisoning. Vomiting and diarrhea is your body trying to get rid of something in your system. If the body can’t flush it out after several days you need meds from the dr to get rid of whatever it is. The meds you took are either not strong enough, or the wrong type, or they just stopped the symptom by creating a barrier in your stomach.

I’m not sure Jack. It’s just an emergency measure to have somebody file the form so there is no fine. It seems like there are landlords around who can’t be bothered, so it’s a cheap easy option to have a hotel do it. Would that work? I have not tried it.

People have said you can just stay in a hotel for one night every 90 days and they do a TM30.

I had blood work for a standard physical in the US. It came to $3,500 usd (that’s what they billed the insurance company). That’s just for the labs, no treatments. It made me so nervous I did not want the physicals anymore in case I was billed for something not covered. Imagine what the whole exam costs. Now imagine what it costs if you go in for something serious. Stop complaining.

I would do like bunnydrops said and just get in the foreign line with her. Worst they can do is make you get in the other line. By that time your in line together, at the window while she’s processed and she’s outside waiting for you. Fuk them. They cant do anything to a us citizen. Worst that will happen is you wait in line again.

Try to relax and have a few drinks on the plane before you arrive before you go through immigration. You will need to separate and get in different lines and it can feel somewhat unwelcoming.

When I get those people from India answering I just hang up.

A big mistake nomad capitalist makes is he thinks you can live cheaper for the same or better. I disagree with this. I think there is always a trade off when I go cheaper. I’m either taking on more risk somehow, or I am getting less quality. The trade off can be hard to see if you don’t have a lot of experience. Everything looks great until you find a corrupt policeman or a foreign insurance company that does not pay your medical bill, for example.

People hate this answer, but it’s cheap compared to many other countries. Saving money to end up in a nicer country eventually. It’s not the sole reason, but it’s primary. Without it I would not be here.

I think it’s an online freelancer thing. Not something you see in a bar with a girl being called over or people leering at a gogo in the middle of a bunch of guys. Look for single western women or single female backpackers around your condo or female couples that look like they are not interested in guys. It always looks a bit odd in Thailand, but then you realize what it may be, and you figure that’s ok, it just feels out of the norm. You can also feel that they are not at all into meeting other foreigners and kind of doing their own thing. It’s bush licking.

There’s lots of lesbians around Pattaya. It’s just low key & the action takes place back in the room. When you see western women around it can look odd like a backpacking trip gone awry, or a strange spot for a family vacation, but it’s really lesbians. And all that.

I would just opt for a 1st class cabin. It’s a bed. You can sleep the whole trip. You even get free champagne and snacks. Who wants to fly economy with a pelvic fracture?

Sucks to live that way though in your own home. It’s nice to relax once in awhile without looking out for the slightest threat when enjoying a beer on your balcony.
