  1. There are a lot of people like that at the gym at any age. How do you feel about being there? Try getting outside for your workouts, even if it’s at an outside gym. Worked for me, I don’t use indoor gym’s any more and don’t compare myself to others (as much). I also want to work out more.
  2. One of the things I like about getting older, is that when I work out I no longer care much about results. All the satisfaction is in the effort made.
  3. Why would you leave in October and come back from the USA five months later? Just stay and save the airfare.
  4. You can see them coming down the street with those long selfie sticks. When I see any type of selfie stick, or screen coming towards me at night, I get out of the way. Most vloggers won’t hold a camera in their hand, they use some sort of holding device stick or tripod. They want to stabilize the vid so it’s not shaky and also spin it around to show themselves while they are talking.
  5. Did you lose the remote control again? Dammit! I can’t find it. Where did YOU put it!
  6. Cro-magnum man. Cro-mags. A huge beast of a man. Holy smokes!
  7. That whole area is infested. They live in the overgrown areas around there. I’m not sure why people like living in that area. It could be condo owners trying to put a positive spin on things ????????‍♂️
  8. There are also a lot of hazards here like <deleted> in the road, sand sitting on the road, potholes filled with water, etc that are typically cleaned up in other countries. It's not all about knowing how to ride.
  9. Why would the maid take a photo of the room? They could just call the desk to say ok or not. The desk staff can't inspect a photo and say whether everything was ok.
  10. That’s what the whole gf experience is. If it was just a stale transaction there would be no problems at all. Some guys do that, but I think it’s rare.
  11. Maybe because it’s not all about casual sex.
  12. I thought there was something odd about the beach club right from the start. It was a case of the new owners trying to outdo everyone in town in a very obvious manner. Trying to take over. I never met them but I’m thinking they had ego’s to match (Italian or Russian?). Maybe a good example why it’s better to do well, but not great. The next to go is probably that new fancy club high rollers on soi pothole in the middle of all those smaller bars.
  13. What happened to that beach club in treetown, did it open again?
  14. Get those two things then. Not difficult at all. One wonders how you made it here if you can’t use a copy machine.
  15. Your in a nursing home now, they just serve alcohol.
  16. I feel like that is the case everywhere in Thailand. It’s just a non-spoken vibe I get after many years. I don’t think I will ever integrate in comfortably the way I would in my home country no matter how long I’m here or who I know. It’s something to consider if your retiring here,
  17. Not everyone is here because “they” want to be. Many live here because “their” pension or savings are not sufficient in “their” home countries. “They” are here because it’s cheap! If “I” were a bit wealthier “I” would not be here “you” would move to Hawaii!
  18. I just act dumb unless they outright request payment, which never happens. I look and act really naive though, so they never know for sure if I know what they are looking for.
  19. That’s nuts that they want mr sky to return. Did they track him down somehow in another country? It’s not his job to return so they can do a photo op.
  20. That’s great advice, especially the periodic wipes with 70% alcohol. I would add to it, if I may, periodically (monthly) shaving your underarms, back hair, nut sack and crack area. (Or just your entire body). May be a little extreme for most people but it does make you feel “cleaner” and well kept in general, especially in hot weather.
  21. Ditto. I always bring tee shirts and especially socks from the USA when I can. They feel luxurious when worn in Thailand. Some people can get used to thin Chinese socks, shirts and other @rap from the local market, but I need to wear something that feels like quality once in awhile. I also wear real shoes and not flip flops. I also don’t like to stink and I wear deodorant.
