At a certain point you can’t really cure anything if it’s old age related. Just address symptoms to make them more comfortable. I had a relative pass just from old age. They just start having problems like difficulty breathing or lack of energy and there is nothing you can do but try and keep them comfortable. Being very thirsty all the time is also a bad sign near the end.

I don’t think the op cares what they are “really smiling about”. they just want to enjoy their vacation and get through immigration without being ruffled.

not sure what the op is complaining about. We have just been through a worldwide pandemic, now global economy is in trouble, and they expect everyone to be cheery and smile everywhere. Get real. To get an idea what it feels like to not be smiled at. ☹️

The problem I had with Zenni is I had to use their frames. It’s cheap junk. I don’t want a cheap low quality frame on my face.

I would check with church run hospitals for free care. There is one in Bangkok, catholic I think. I don’t like Phuket much. The beaches are crowded. I’m not one of those guys that looks great with my shirt off, so strolling around in front of an audience of people on beach chairs is not something that makes me comfortable.

Really, if it was only 3 hours I would have returned all the money even if there was a signed contract. 3 hours is nothing. If I was really a roach though, I would have hidden behind the technicality and charged 3k baht for nothing. They charged that fee because they were angry at you for cancelling, not because they were inconvenienced. They probably returned most of it because they need to work with the real estate agent in the future and don’t want to seem unreasonable.

Keeping 3k baht is reasonable. The landlord may have cancelled with other prospective tenants during the 3 hours. Also, changing your mind wasted the landlords time. If you ever feel pressured again or uncomfortable, just ask to use the restroom, then leave out the door when they are in the other room. If the door is locked you got bigger problems! Another side note. Anytime anything is rushed it’s a big red flag. You need to ask yourself why they are desperate. Usually they are trying to hide something and want to close the deal before you see some kind of problem. Includes landlords who get irritated when you take the time to inspect a property. The typical excuse is you are wasting their time. I used to buy used cars and certain sellers don’t want to allow mechanical inspections or let you “kick the tires” because they are “too busy”. Same principal, they are hiding something.

Are the TM 30’s & 90 day reports checked at the border also? Or asking for fines if I did not report all year? How to show insurance if the annual policy has not renewed yet? I would need to cross before the annual policy expired and prior to getting a coverage certificate for another year.

Is health insurance checked when you enter just before the visa expires for another year? If not, it could just lapse after the first year required for the visa.

That may be worth the flight back every two years.

Why did you get a new visa every two years? Could you have gotten the re-entry permit and just did an extension of the original visa when you got back to Thailand? It just turns into basically an O with needing to have health insurance, right? And you need the 800k in the bank??

So it’s multiple entry only during the 1st year, not after that.

Why are people named porn? I dated a lady named porn and I kept thinking about porn. In bangcock or fhuket the problem was even worse. I was thinking about being there with somebody with porn in their name. ????

And just about any other market. Look around until you find something. It’s Bangkok. If you’re still clueless try chatuchak weekend market. They sell just about everything there.

They don’t seem keen on anyone really. I lived in Pratumnak for awhile near the Russian market. They avoid eye contact and I could pass as Russian just from appearance. There was something about the Russians that was very stand-offish.

Btw I am mid 50’s, insured through Luma & pay around $100 a month with a mid sized deductible. Good health. Never had a claim, but it looks legit so far. He would need to maintain roughly $20k usd in a home country bank to qualify for a renewal every two years.
