I would say this is part of the widespread protest movement which led to future forwards party 'victory' at the last election. Eventually new forces will out the old corrupt power bases be it the conservatives or Phua Thai. Agree not an easy listen, but it was not meant to be. -

If you don't' know why post claims like: 'The current army is in 2 parts and the larger part is more loyal to the King than to the army high command.' What do you base that opinion on? -

So would you agree that the phua cheewit, posing as we are for and with the people, by bands like Carabao and Loso, while making millions is just a facade? I would say that is largely true, songs for life became income for them having little to do with supporting social change or protest. The only real evidence of that in Thai music in recent decades has been Rap against dictatorship, not from multi millionaires dressing like tuk tuk drivers while supporting coups and the status quo. -

No it can't be said about pretty much every successful singer, they are not all pathetic, drug users, women abusers, mental cases and bad role models or millionaire hypocrites. Stop exaggerating. -

Ok snowflake you don't hero worship the thug then, you think he's a nice guy just because you met him backstage, where they are all nice, despite him being convicted before of attacking women and now sentenced to three years. You, like others, think that's somehow excusable as he has been a successful musician and it's kind of acceptable because he's a rock musician so drugs, violence and mental issues are somehow expected. You loath foreigners who like real Thai music- you don't have to try and be Thai, just open your ears, you should try it sometime, you would end up meeting far nicer people than Loso, who just ended his career and who has been a bad example for Thai youth for most of his career. 'I have been here 30 years' lol another one who thinks it's a competition, I have been here a bit longer than that. Thai culture, you don't seem to have learned much about it in that time, you come across as an angry, arrogant old man incapable of accepting other peoples opinions. I prefer luktung to morlam, if that's not trying to be Thai. -

Trump has nothing to do with this convicted thug, his musical abilities are not involved either. Very few Thai musicians are involved with drugs, Loso was a perfect name to take on. I know a lot more about him than you do, who saw him 'a couple of times'. -

Touchy sort you are, you can't abide somebody else's opinion. I have met literally hundreds of Thai performers back stage, they are always 'nice' it's part of Thai music culture. I could never be with somebody that liked different music, bet you are not still together 😊 -

So what were you doing backstage to see a performer of music you did not even like? His later transgressions were not 'later' they have continued through out is troubled life resulting in this latest prison sentence. I know for a fact from other Grammy artists he was considered a prima donna and difficult to appear with. I will leave you with your superficial impressions of your back stage encounters. -

You said he was a nice guy, on what evidence, guitar skills? Did not realise you were a a poster who was authorised to tell others what they can say. People are too fond of excusing performers defects and crimes just because they have had some success. He is definitely not a nice guy, despite being talented. -

Why hero worship a man who has attacked women, a hard drug user and thug just because they can play the guitar and sing after a fashion? He is not a nice guy, if he had been he would not be where he is now. Performed all over the world, hardly, but at the Lincoln centre in New York in 2006 hit another performer on the head with a shoe, very disrespectful. He has serious mental, emotional and drug issues that need sorting out, his wife did try. Lets hope prison helps him work his problems out.
