  1. I thought it's not possible to regrow bone and if you wait 3 months 60 percent of the original bone is gone. Hence the need for bone grafts
  2. It is odd that dental techniques remain so crude compared to other medical specialties. I wonder how much extra they'll be charging foreigners if the new system is ever put into operation.
  3. You can bet they're actively searching for a way to dissolve MFP long before the next election
  4. There's no need for a coup when what was formerly the largest opposition party has agreed to do your bidding. It's just all one big circle jerk now.
  5. You can delete the account and it won't matter but the information doesn't disappear. If you want to use a google service after that, you'll just be asked to sign in. Deleting the account is the equivalent of logging off in other words.
  6. Almost everybody can get implants but some need q bone graft. It's not uncommon for the bone to be too thin especially on top. When I had my implant, the first dentist wanted me to have a major bone graft. It would have taken 7 months and cost 50,000 a tooth. Another dentist told me I would need a sinus lift, a more minor procedure that would have cost 20,000 or so. I went to a third dentist and he said no bone graft necessary. I went with him. That was two and half years ago and it's been fine so far more or less.
  7. Since we can't tallk about that person we must use the euphemism "the military"
  8. Remember, Yingluck thought she had a deal with the opposition to pass the amnesty bill aimed at her brother. Instead, the Democrats reneged and Suthep launched the Bangkok Shutdown. It'd be funny if Thaksin arrives back in Bangkok and finds out that whatever deal he has finagled by betraying his supporters is also tossed out and he's left to rot in jail. I know I wouldn't trust the military.
  9. If it's Bangok, then that's probably in the ballpark. Visa extensions from Chaeng Wattana without money in the bank run between 25000 and 30,000, I believe. Throw in another 5000 for the bank account. If it's in the provinces, the price should be around half.
  10. At your age, my advice is that it's time to stop thinking about receiving pleasure and focus on giving pleasure. Hone your techniques for bring your partners to orgasm (again and again and again). Remember, it's in the giving not the receiving that we find true happiness.
  11. the one near my house is quite convenient. Full inventory of most daily necessitiies, flour, pasta, stuff 7-11 doesn't carry. However, it's only a couple of hundred meters from Tops supermarket so there's not much point in going there
  12. I make it by hand. It works but you have to be very careful not to add too much oil in the beginning, so it is time consuming and labor intensive. But I haven't been able to find a good immersion blender yet.
  13. And that's only for 5 years
  14. Another movie with a woman of 58i kilos beating up men twice her size. A James Bond fantasy for women. I did enjoy No Hard Feelings, which was just as unrealistic but it was funny and it had Jennifer Lawrence. Nothing particularly creative about it but the take on modern snowflakes was amusing . And Lawrence can make even a mediocre movie watchable.
  15. You have to pay a premium too. Walking to buy food should be part of your exercise regime if you're retired.
  16. I was told by one agent in Pattaya that they could do it 3 months in advance
  17. Prawit tells the Senate what toi do
  18. I believe Thai Visa allows you to use any Thai bank
  19. I have unlimited Internet at 1 Mbps. I don't have a "main package."
  20. The problem isn't with the current requirements, it's with the screening procedures. Changing the regulations won't solve that. Plus, even on this forum people complain about retirees who use agents but the agents arent cheap. Even for the cheapest at 12,500, that comes out to more than $350 and the price can run all the way up to 20,000 or even 30,000, depending on various factors. So it's not like you're getting a great deal. A smarter thing to do would be to normalize that process. Just charge 15,000 for example for an extension. That would enhance immigration revenues, obviate the need to have 800,000 sitting in the bank doing nothing, and get rid of all this gray area stuff. The objective should be to simplify the process and take away the discretion immigration officers currently have.
  21. They dump the daughter midway through so the message was received loud and clear
  22. It doesn't have to be a civil case. The line between civil and criminal cases is exceedingly thin in Thailand. And though it makes no logical sense to sue, I have heard stories of vindictive landlords who have done just that.
  23. It won't affect his status with immigration but if the landlord sues, he can be prevented from leaving the country until the court case is settled.
  24. The only effect of the previous "reforms" was a steep decline in the number of retirement visa holders and a surge in the number of agents. If I remember correctly,, Thailand is only issuing about 40,000 retirement extensions a year. Double the fiscal requirement without any corresponding incentives and most of the remaining foreigners will abandon ship. All that will be left are the elite visa holders and the Chinese.
