Indians Ignore Police Summons After Pattaya Beach Brawl
Bobthegimp replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
They're doing the same thing on a larger scale in Canada. The organizer's last name is Sikh. My guess is that the assailants were Hindus. Pattaya is crawling with Indians who just wander around with 4 other friends, kind of like teens with no money. -
Thailand Overhauls Auto Tax to Boost Electric Vehicle Adoption

Pattaya is certainly a hub for speed bumps! The Thais just love them. They drive like bloody turtles to begin with so I've got not idea why they add speed bumps to severely rutted roads. -

Drunken Thai boxer takes page from Tyson’s ear-book
Bobthegimp replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Mai News
The Thais in Pattaya are sedate when compared to their neighbours to the north. Best course of action is to find the drunk and leave a bottle of wood alcohol where he can find it. Observe from a concealed location and enjoy the show. Is the Thai phrase "lan ken"? -
Discover the fruits found in Thailand that help combat cancer

Laden with carcinogenic pesticides - the supposed health benefits has got to be a wash. Those freak of nature Chinese grapes are being sold off the back of pickups all over Pattaya. No wonder the massage girl's breath smelled like diazinon. -

These articles are full of hyperbole and thin on facts. I'm curious about the ages of the victims, circumstances under which the acts were carried out, and why it took decades for the victims to come forward when it would have been possible to get to the bottom of things if they'd been reported when they occurred. Why do people wait decades to come forward when it's impossible to verify the allegations?

Thailand Overhauls Auto Tax to Boost Electric Vehicle Adoption

Take away the government hand outs and the Chinese dumping of EVs on any country that will accept them and demand will fall off the face of a cliff. We'll burn coal and natural gas to create electricity to charge our "eco friendly" cars 555. It would be cool to see EV owners' kids and grandchildren in the cobalt mines with the African kids. Maybe the Africans could wield the whip for a change. Getting the French out of the "dark continent " might help. -
Thanks for posting this report. Does the bike have adequate power on the highway? I get passed by Wave 125s all day long in rural areas, but those appear to be far lighter than your bike.

The Click has its air filter down low, on the drive unit. It's liquid cooled, as opposed to air cooled. I had to fight the kid at Mityon to change the rollers with the decimated belt. For some reason, he just doesn't like doing what he's paid to do. Now I stand over him and ensure that the work gets done. An extra couple of hundred baht worth of prevention is a lot cheaper than being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a minimal command of the local language. My next purchase with not be with Mityon, nor will the servicing.

Essential Expat Guide: How to Buy a Motorcycle in Thailand
Bobthegimp replied to CharlieH's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I rode my new Click from Pattaya to Phuket with the red plate. I got pulled over near Bangkok. The cop checked my license and asked where I was going. His eyes went wide when I replied "Phuket". He wished me a safe trip and that was it, no mention of the red plate. -
I lost mine somewhere on a rutted road in Buriram. Still haven't replaced it. My insurance is up soon and I'll get a better holder this time.

I bought mine in February 2023 and have ridden for around a year in total whilst in Thailand. The scooter is garaged when I go home for the summers. Just over 27k km and no problems with key fob or that plastic gear, which was addressed before mine rolled off the line. I've toured extensively on it and had no problems, aside from getting the kid at Mityon to do the work he is paid to do. I had the stiffest YSS front and rear suspension installed, along with the heaviest oil in the front (8,300 baht in total) and it saved me a lot of suffering. However, the seat is a torture chamber on long rides. The slope towards the front causes me to fight gravity and that becomes fatiguing on longer rides. The sculpting makes it difficult to change position without hunching forward. The tiny fuel tank means more frequent stops than I'd care to make, especially on long runs at 100 to 110 kmph, when fuel economy drops from 54 to 34 km per liter. The engine is a marvel because I've ridden that bike flat out for hours on the long, boring stretches of road and the thing just keeps going. It might be time for a bigger bike.
-
How is the seat? I'm in the market for a new bike that's more comfortable on long rides than my Click. If your tires are tubeless I'd suggest buying a pump and repair kit at MR. DIY. Compact and dirt cheap. I've used my pump to help a few stranded Thai motorbike and bicycle riders.

Fatal attraction: Taiwanese man dies after sex with Thai transwoman
Bobthegimp replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The ad hominem attacks are the mark of a loser. Yes, someone who loses an argument due to their weak position so they react by lashing out. Put it back in the dresser with your corset and heels. You lot have had your day. It's over. -

Your views are a few days out of date. The alphabet gang is being escorted out of the building. I don't care what people do in the privacy of their own spaces, but I'm sure as hell not going to pretend to understand it or cheer them on. -

Plenty to go around. If the parents had been degenerates those two wouldn't have been born in the first place. Well, what's done is done. -
