Nah, there was a story a few weeks back when a Thai attacked a foreigner for throwing a brick in a window. The Thai guy was much smaller. Cops don't go 1 on 1 and will get backup whenever they can. Because it's not about proving you can take the guy down, it's about subduing the other guy with minimal damage to yourself. It's not like Mike Tyson, where he gets paid 20 million dollars to take the other guy down.

Yes and no. Police will avoid one on one and get backup as much as possible to contain people. It isn't about trying to prove you can take the guy one on one. It's about containing the guy. But ... police don't try to murder the guy by kicking him in the head either. Police backup, yes. Not a bunch of thugs, though.

There are Western doctors that can provide a diagnosis via Skype in this day and age. I would try to find a Western doctor who does online consultations for a 2nd opinion / diagnosis. They may require blood tests, whatever ... get the tests done in a local hospital and send results to the Western doctor by fax.
