Is This Going to Happen

That's a nice round number, but not sure it's that simple. In places like Pattaya, the infrastructure is set up for tourists in high season. In low season, the bars are practically empty. And I'm sure the authorities appreciate the retirees there during low season. At least warming up 20% of those bar stools. -
Do you have Health Care Power of Attorney?

not sure how it works, but can the hospital directly contact the company that drafted the Living Will for instructions? perhaps give this company a call to explain your situation. https://bewell.co.th/living-wills-q-a/ 2. How will a hospital know that an unconscious patient has a Living Will? Be Well Members are recommended to carry the Be Well membership card with them at all times. On the card we will add a special sticker stating that the patient has a Living Will and that the hospital should contact Be Well for details. -

My mom, rest her soul, was a Catholic. She had lost her first daughter at a young age. Traumatized her for life. She needed something to believe in. And she maybe wasn't intellectual enough to search for any alternatives. But even people who are intellectual and curious-minded enough to seek out alternatives to Catholicism, where does that usually lead them? To some other questionable belief system? To atheism? Belief in nothing? I didn't watch the OP. I bet he's an atheist. Atheists love to knock religions, but they got nothing better. For some people, it served a purpose and they didn't harm anyone while following this religion. I was highly critical of Catholicism growing up, but then realized that some people need it and it serves a purpose. -
I stayed in a hotel in Thailand for one month. They added 500 Baht cleaning fee at the end. I was never told this in advance. I didn't debate it. I guess the cleaners work hard and are under-paid and the hotel can't quite pay them the salary they deserve, so they have to pick our pockets. Fair enough. Hotels are cheap here anyway.

I researched one meal a day and decided it's not enough and settled on 2 now. Maybe not enough nutrition ie protein for example can be absorbed in one meal. it's one of many issues that nutritionists disagree on, so I won't push you. but I decided 2 might be better. there's a lot of conflicting information in nutrition.
-
Yeah, I know one nutritionist I follow was saying eat the majority of calories earlier in the day. So you have the entire day to burn them off. Makes sense. Except when I'm not eating in the morning, I guess the body is living off of stored calories anyway. Also, in the evening, there are more food options available. There's people grilling meats everywhere after 5 PM. More options available. So more convenient to not eat cheat meals.

I think some people simply do not get fat as easily as others due to genetics, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're healthy. Being slim is one indicator of health, but not the only one. My father was never fat but still had heart issues. So some people are deluding themselves. They think because they're slim their diet is perfect. In a way, I'm lucky I get fat easily. Because my body is warning me something is off.

Of course everyone labels Xi as a dictator. And now Trump. He has raised the standard of living of the Chinese in recent decades. Also, have you noticed that every conversation on AN turns into a dispute? Have you noticed that everyone thinks differently? Do you expect a govt leader to check in with 300 million or 1.5 billion people every time they make a decision? What would happen? Nothing would ever get done. Because everyone would just argue incessantly. Like the incessant arguing on AN that will never end because people don't see the world the same way.

This guy is BLUNT. Doesn't hold back. -
Skipped breakfast this morning (apart from coffee), and did not feel hungry until noon. So definitely have been eating too much. I've been bouncing around like a pinball, constantly changing due to contradictory health advice from different sources. I don't know what I'm doing anymore. We should do a "What You Eat in a Day" thread. Everyone posts exactly what they eat and the times. And their waistline / BMI
