the police is the only reason you're still alive. some are corrupt, but a small percentage. or maybe that increases in countries where they don't get paid much. going out there dealing with the criminal element of society is much harder than anything I have ever done to pay the bills. most of us tapping away on a computer in an office all day. the problem with drugs is too much freedom creates too many addicts who ruin their lives. as all drugs may be legalized at some point. are you sure that's what you want? some authority is necessary. but anyway, too much authority creates a perverse opposite effect where people want to feel like they have freedom. drugs is the ultimate way for people to act like they're sticking it to the man. when in fact they're potentially just sending their own lives into a downward spiral.

Well ... but some songs DEMAND that you listen to the lyrics. I don't think Robert Plant would be happy to hear that you listen to Stairway to Heaven without paying attention to the lyrics. He's trying so desperately to convey some sort of message to the listener. These people are trying hard to shape people's souls with their music. They're not just trying to entertain you. At least Zeppelin is.

it's great that you followed your passion. motorcycles are cool, but i'm too afraid of getting hit by a car. although i would like to try wizzing around in a Vespa in Rome at some point ... but at low speeds.

Dazed and Confused is an anthem for getting stoned. And Stairway to Heaven means what exactly? I don't like music that has lyrics so cryptic that I can't even figure out what the song is about. But go for it if that's your thing.

Another great Zeppelin song .. but with a twist.

Robert Plant's solo work is better than most Zeppelin stuff. And The Honeydrippers is amazing too. And most Zeppelin songs suck. It's noise.

The best Zeppelin song ... and one of the few Zeppelin songs I still listen to. Jimmy Page hated it because it didn't fit in with the rest of their style. But he let Robert Plant record it because he lost a son. That's precisely why it's so great ... because it's not a typical Zeppelin song. Zeppelin mostly sucks. Dazed and Confused is meant to induce people to take drugs.

I didn't post that song in the music thread. I'm not advocating that music. It's crap. By his own admission, Jimmy Page said there are evil sounds he makes with his guitar that shouldn't be in music. I've also been vocal about being anti-drugs on the forum. The world is heading in the wrong direction with every drug being legalized and normalized.

I haven't read all previous posts , but ... my understanding is the common cheap multi-vitamins that people buy have horrible "fillers" that are really bad for you. I don't buy multi-vitamins anymore. and try to get most vitamins from food as much as possible.

it's not just that it's "not entirely satisfying". it's that I have no clue what it means. what's a probable self? are you sure that actually means anything? it seems like you and i are trapped in an infinite loop, like hamsters on a wheel. you give me quotes that mean nothing to me. and then we go round and round. and still ... i am dazed and confused.
