  1. Yes, I think olives are healthy. Maybe the sodium is an issue? But with small amounts of olives, maybe not? And since it's hard to know if an olive oil has been tainted / watered down with seed oils, I stopped consuming olive oil and only consume olives now. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/foods/olives#nutrients Olives contain 11–15% fat, 74% percent of which is oleic acid, a type of monounsaturated fatty acid. It is the main component of olive oil. Oleic acid is linked to several health benefits, including decreased inflammation and a reduced risk of heart disease. It may even help fight cancer. Olives are a good source of several vitamins and minerals, some of which are added during processing. Vitamin E. High-fat plant foods usually contain high amounts of this powerful antioxidant. Iron. Black olives are a good source of iron, which is important for your red blood cells to transport oxygen Copper. This essential mineral is often lacking in the typical Western diet. Copper deficiency may increase your risk of heart disease Calcium. The most abundant mineral in your body, calcium is essential for bone, muscle, and nerve function. Some methods of olive processing add calcium to the fruit (11). Sodium. Most olives contain high amounts of sodium since they’re packaged in brine or saltwater.
  2. So Bob and Lewie are twins separated at birth? And both ended up in Thailand? What are the odds?
  3. Why don't you do the research and let us know? Dig up the facts because we only deal in facts on AN. Or better yet ... why not take a few days off from Trump threads and go play some golf?
  4. Maybe they are deliberately trying to divide the country. Some people predict the US will break up into different countries. Maybe intellectuals like Chomsky are being used for this agenda. Notice how the article below uses the phrase "forces in media". And maybe even Trump is being used for this agenda as he is dividing the country more than anyone. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/04/politics/american-political-divisions-july-fourth Why the US ‘does not get to assume that it lasts forever’ But he acknowledges there’s no assurance this patient nurturing of civic connection can overcome all the forces in politics, the media and communications technology blowing toward separation.
  5. the baht bus mafia? mayor of pattaya looks really young. probably an innovative spirit. make it happen, guys!
  6. My point is he said "all for ourselves, and nothing for other people". Most people have a roof over their head, a car, a 72 inch screen, access to entertainment, ability to travel, etc... So you don't see that he's exaggerating Here he is again making nonsensical claims. Barbarism. That's a fancy word they teach you at MIT. Be afraid. https://www.rawstory.com/2017/01/chomsky-warns-con-man-trump-will-drag-civilization-down-to-the-utter-depths-of-barbarism/ Chomsky warns 'con man' Trump will drag civilization down to the 'utter depths of barbarism'
  7. No, exactly. It's all emotional at this point. Which is why debating with facts is useless. But where is all this emotion coming from?
  8. Of course you enjoy it. Lewie London is your new cult leader.
  9. I don't want to watch the video. That's sick. That's sick to just stand there and watch. Guy's twisted. Pitbulls again. Let's ban pitbulls sooner rather than later. These things are being used as weapons in some cases. And that should be a lengthy prison sentence for the chap. The dog must have endured so much excruciating pain.
  10. For what I don't know. I just gave you an example .... he's claiming the "masters of mankind" want "all for ourselves, and nothing for other people". This is fear-mongering and a false caricature of the elites. Many people in the US actually are self-made millionaires. And many people can earn good wages if they apply themselves. The elites do keep the lion's share for themselves, true. It's been that way since the beginning of time. But it doesn't mean there's no hope to have a decent life for anyone else.
  11. There is no point linking any videos or web sites. There are "carefully crafted narratives" for different realities. If you keep focusing on one narrative, then that becomes your reality. You conveniently neglected that he is lowering taxes, etc ... because it doesn't fit your reality. Looks to me like we're all living in a simulated video game. And we are all in a slightly different simulation.
  12. I will be the first to admit that I am only a half-a** armchair psychologist hack job -- at best. But why is it that these conversations keep going around in circles and never get resolved? If we were all logical creatures, we would analyze the facts and come to some sort of agreement on our perception of the world around us. What you describe is merely YOUR perception. But millions of people have a completely different perception of reality. Millions of people do not see him as a dictator. Is Aldous Huxley retired in Thailand? Who can we ask to find out why people's perceptions are so different?
  13. Reality is what you choose to perceive. Both narratives exist side by side. Trump is winning / Trump is a dictator. Whatever you choose to focus on becomes your perception of reality. Facts don't change anyone's mind about anything. People are fixated on perceiving reality a certain way. Any psychologists here? Debating politics and throwing facts around is a waste of time. We need to get some psychologists in here to explain why people are fixed in their views no matter what argument is put forth. These discussions are just creating a self-perpetuating loop of animosity.
  14. It's your perception of reality because you desperately want to hate him. There is no spoon. Everyone is living on a different planet and perceives reality differently. You should go into psychoanalysis to discover the root cause. You hated your father and Trump reminds you of your father?
  15. There is way too much free speech. Confuses people and poisons people's minds. Everyone is discombulated, confused, angry, hateful, resentful, distrustful, not sure what to believe, paranoid.
  16. I don't like too many things about you, but I cannot accuse you of whinging about politicians constantly. You got that going for you.
  17. No, he's not stifling opposition. He couldn't even if he wanted to. It's the opposite problem. There is way too much free speech and people can say whatever they want. And the media is coming up with all sorts of garbage. I just came across one article claiming "The Republicans Want You Dead." The real poison is the media, which is poisoning people's minds. No one knows what to believe. And it's evident on this forum. The conversations about Trump are sick and disturbing. There is excessive paranoia and hatred and anger. It's really sad stuff. And at the end of the day, the US has a higher standard of living than most other countries. But people's minds are completely poisoned and everyone is angry, hateful, and paranoid.
  18. Don't underestimate people's ability to put a negative spin on anything. For instance, how can you be sure that the camels weren't used as a subtle form of ridicule?
  19. I just looked up "deep state". I was never quite sure what it was referring to. So who killed JFK? Well, the conspiracy goes that it was the "deep state" ie CIA because JFK wasn't doing what they wanted him to do. One month after JFK was assassinated, Truman published an article demanding that the CIA be abolished .... So ... connect the dots ... or don't. Have a coupla drinks if you prefer.
  20. Considering the millions and millions of tourists that go through Pattaya every year, there isn't that much crime.
  21. Same thing happened to me with supplements. i will not buy supplements anymore from lazada. looks like the same scam exists with perfume. but they did also give me a refund.
  22. Grok is probably already smarter than you. Does that make you nervous? It should.
  23. Noam Chomsky is maybe one of the greatest intellectual CON ARTISTS ever. I'll give him that. This is an excerpt: Wow, the vile masters of mankind's motto: All for ourselves and nothing for other people. Nothing. So you have nothing? Really? Absolutely nothing? You aren't typing on AN with a 1000$ Iphone / computer in your pocket? Most people have enough CRAP. Take a look at when people have garage sales. It's ridiculous how much crap people hoard throughout their lives, never using most of it. This video maybe has some facts in there, but mixed with nonsensical exaggerations and doom and gloom, complete with the eerie music in the background.
  24. I'll admit Lewie might be one of the "colorful" personalities in pattaya.
