delapitory? what does that even mean? i've been using electric for years. dry shaving. no creams. not as close a shave as a razor, but not sure what difference that makes. does it really matter? it grows back the next day and you gotta keep shaving. one thing i like is I can shave while watching podcasts on my laptop. whereas a real shaver you gotta be in the mirror.

Cost of a car in Bangkok?

10 years? Robotaxis will be around by then and car ownership will decrease since those things will be really cheap. But not sure if Thailand will have them. -
Crime increasing in Philippines?

Also, met a crazy Filipino back home. He fled the country over 20 years ago because he tried to make a power grab for the local mayor position in his village and the mayor had hitmen looking for him. And he kept bragging about how he owned a gun. So that also left a negative impression about the place. -

I guess statistically speaking, you won't have any issues. Even though the crime might be worse than Thailand? Again though, do I care if the people there are slightly more polite than the Thais and the water is slightly more crystal blue? Is politeness over-rated? I see no reason to go there. -

no, probably not. maybe better to tolerate the annoyances of taxis/bolt than the annoyances of owning. -

thailand is fun enough. cambodia has angkor wat, which might be worth a visit. and it's safer. philippines has nothing that thailand doesnt have and it's not worth the risk for me. i'll take a pass on philipines. -

Let me answer your question another way. Just using tariffs as an example to make the point. By increasing tariffs against canada, he is hurting some canadian inudustries, but benefiting some american industries. So is it a good or bad thing? Depends who you are. Also, as a result of this, Canada might cozy up to the EU more. So in other words, that may set up an entire chain of events and it might take 10 years to see the full extent the impact of just this one decision will have. My point is that there is so much complexity involved in some of the decisions they are making that it's practically impossible to gauge if it's "good" or "bad". And anyone who keeps talking negatively about Trump as though everything he does is stupid is being silly. If you're overly indoctrinated either pro or anti Trump, then you render yourself useless to analyzing anything he is doing objectively. -

yes, but living long-term / retiring there increases risk. she claims crooked cops are in on the crimes ie getting kickbacks. that's the scary part, if it's true. or maybe she is exaggerating to get more clicks on her youtube channel? -

It's not just petty pickpocketing. They seem to be not hesitant to use violence. And the reason, according to this girl, that they are brazen and commit crimes in broad daylight is because of a conspiracy where crooked cops are colluding by greasing their pockets with these stolen goods. Avoid Philippines? -
According to this blogger, Philippines is getting more dangerous. Crime is even happening in broad daylight as criminals are not afraid of consequences. They wait for parked cars at red lights in broad daylight.

AI is probably not trained to regurgitate any non-mainstream views. So it is not necessarily accurate about everything. But in the future, I wonder if you can have conversations with AI where it might be willing to whisper conspiracies in your ear. -

Cancer is not a disease? Actually, there might be an "emotional" component? Maybe if a person is depressed for years and years, maybe it can contribute to cancer? I don't think it's fully understood by the scientific community all the things that may cause cancer. -

this is from cancer.gov you think it's all bs and they're just making all this stuff up? I don't think so. It's been tested for over a decade and it's showing some positive results. they are using mRNA in conjunction with other modalities. not to mention they are investing a lot of money into this research. https://www.cancer.gov/news-events/cancer-currents-blog/2022/mrna-vaccines-to-treat-cancer For more than a decade, cancer researchers have been developing a type of treatment known as a personalized cancer vaccine using various technologies, including mRNA For patients with head and neck cancer, however, the early results were positive. Among the first 10 participants, 2 patients had all signs of their tumors disappear following treatment, known as a complete response, and another 5 had their tumors shrink. -
