Thai PM says use of cannabis must be regulated within six months
Brickleberry replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
How are they getting away with these prices for sh!tty produce, and how on earth can any Thai person afford it? A gram costs twice as much as the daily minimum wage! -

Dentistry: Someone who can see sense! Thank you for living in the real world.... Food: I lived in Japan, I'm a big fan... of the food, not so much the people! Fair enough, I was a bit harsh in my trivialization of British cuisine, and I was actually surprised to find out that according to Taste Atlas, British food is currently ranked no 29th, whilst Thai food is ranked 30th! -

It's like I'm talking to a wall - you only consider your own view and ignore other people's life experience. My mother worked two jobs, and struggled after our father died. We did not live off of benefits. Would you not be annoyed that 12% of your money is deducted each time you get paid for health and dental care, only for you to be told that all of that money you have paid was for nothing? Personally, I was never able to register as an NHS patient. I had to register privately. As I say, it's all a postcode lottery. Some have wonderful services, but there is a large part of the population (1 in 5) who are unable to. -

Erm... your post is both rude and ill informed. You clearly didn't read the story on the BBC posted here which shows the sorry, sad state of British dental care. Are the BBC lying? National insurance payments cover what exactly? Health and dental care. National Insurance is a whopping 12%... so why should I pay more, when I have paid more than enough over the years. Do you really think everyone can afford a few hundred pounds to remove a tooth or get a check up? Single mothers (like mine) definitely couldn't. Now that I have money, I don't care about the state of my teeth, yet i was so self conscious when I was young. I would try to hide my smile, rather than show off my ugly mug! -

I definitely have a tooth brush, this is why my teeth are only slightly yellow ????. The main problems are crookedness and gaps. Facts are, British dental care is unavailable to many people. As with many things in the UK, it is a postcode lottery. -

Do you not keep up to date with the news? Stereotypes exist for a reason.... The British public have terrible teeth because it is impossible for them to find an NHS dentist. People are literally driving for hundreds of miles to try and find one, others are having to pull out their own teeth - as can be read about in this BBC story in July of this year. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-66167563 British food is notoriously bad. Just look at all of the top dishes that are recommended; sausage & mash, shepherds pie, roast dinner. All of these dishes are the same; meat, potato + veg. The most popular takeaway food is all foreign. Italian, Indian, Korean, Thai, etc. -

I couldn't care less. At first, I was interested in the prospect of being able to enjoy a little weed on occasion. Until I started buying it. Why is it that Thai weed prices are over twice as high than in the UK or US? Surely Thai folks can't afford these exorbitant prices? Furthermore, the quality is severely lacking. Popcorn buds, poorly trimmed bags full of sugar leaves and stems, mouldy bricks, sticks that are full of sugar leaves - no weed, buds that have not started producing THC - cut too early. The quality here is shockingly bad, but prices are sky high. WTF? -

Nah, I'm British and I can tell you... we are famous around the world for having bland, sh!tty food. After traveling the world and experiencing many different cuisines, British food is by far the most boring. Meat, potatoes, veg. Every. Damn. Meal. -
Non-O multiple entry (Savannahket)
Brickleberry replied to Brickleberry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Non-o. Tried Kasikorn too, but they also declined. Very annoying as Wise only allows me to transfer up to 50k a time to the yellow bank, so I've been paying extra fees for months just to send money to my bank for the visa extension, instead of my wife's. -
Non-O multiple entry (Savannahket)
Brickleberry replied to Brickleberry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I tried opening a bank account with Bangkok Bank, but they wanted to see a work permit. It seems like they don't want people applying via the monthly method. Leaving a large amount of money in the bank is the easiest way by far, but I am not in a position to do this at the moment. -
Non-O multiple entry (Savannahket)
Brickleberry replied to Brickleberry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes, I used to have a work permit and job here. I transfer 100k+ each month to my Krungsri account. Krungsri says the payments come from K-Bank (Wise uses this one to transfer to me) and appear as a local transaction. I have far too many bills to save up and keep half a million for a few months.... lol! I'm now on a 60 day extension to visit wife. We plan on going to Savannahket close to expiration, and get a multiple entry non-o. -

Serial pest gets his comeuppance. I think most of this country agrees with the chap delivering a valuable lesson with a nice roundhouse kick. Next time, aim a little lower.... kick him where his gonads should be. -
Non-O multiple entry (Savannahket)
Brickleberry replied to Brickleberry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Can Thai Visa Center get around the financials with non-o 12 month extension? It's quite annoying because I meet the financial requirements, but have to show that the transfers originated from abroad. What's really strange is you can't even open a bank account without a work permit these days, so how can anyone meet the requirements? -

Another promise the government can't afford. Another 'old policy' dusted off and presented as a new idea. Did the country forget about the corrupt way this done last time? The dollar has been climbing higher and higher ever since the new government was formed.... I wonder why? -
Non-O multiple entry (Savannahket)
Brickleberry replied to Brickleberry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for replying! Hmm, the officers said they needed to see that the money came from abroad (monthly method). Maybe they made an error? Do you have any advice for the questions I asked about Non-O multiple entry? -
I had some issues getting a year long extension to my current Non-o (based on marriage) as Wise transfers did do not show up as international transfers. Questions: 1) Will I be able to get a Non-o multiple entry in Savannahket, after just getting a non-o single entry (from Savannahket) and extending it for 60 days in Thailand? 2) How does this visa work, do you get 2 entries, 3? 3) Would I need to exit and get a stamp/visa from another country, or can I exit and renter immediately with this visa? (Crossing the border to activate the next 90 days)

Thailand Sentences 7 to Jail for Protesting Myanmar Coup
Brickleberry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Can you explain exactly how a judge's children (or any other member of their family) are benefiting from this? If not, then I suggest you stop. Kids and families are off limits, they always have been amongst those of us who are civilized. We only punish the guilty, not the innocent. Your point would be valid if we were considering a family like Ferdinand Marcos - they were all in on it. In this instance however, judge's families do not gain anything from this morally reprehensible decision. -

Justice Ministry Accused Of Granting Undue Privileges To Thaksin

This is small potatoes when you consider the judiciary allowed a convicted heroin dealer to become a lawmaker, but barred a liberal MP from taking his seat due to stealing a lady's watch 20 years ago. -

Anutin Congratulates Srettha on Becoming Prime Minister
Brickleberry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
With 3% of the vote? I highly doubt it. What's even more disturbing, is that he wants to retain the Health Ministry portfolio, even though the doctors council wrote an open letter stating that they would not work with him again because he was so incompetent. -
I'd be surprised if it lasts 9 months to be honest. Chuwit might be a former pimp, but he tends to be right about corruption... he has a lot of experience after all. Srettha will be forced to resign if Chuwit's allegations are true.
