Very happy to live in a country unencumbered by a Second Amendment. Guns are best employed by cops or the military. I don’t miss the “well regulated militia”. ????

I cannot imagine making a statement like this as a person in her position with the media. Guns are a national cancer in the United States and the same situation would exist here in Thailand if they allowed easy access to firearms. I’m happy to live in a country where shootings are rare.

Best to go to Cambodia for dental work. Much more affordable than Thailand.

About five years ago, a cop demanded to check my bag as I attempted to go up the stairs to the Skytrain station. He found my potato chips and an apple. I was allowed to continue up the stairs.

I had a prostate biopsy in 2009. A most unpleasant experience but it saved my life. My cancer was detected very early and treated with radiation.

The term “roadblocks” should have been “stumbling blocks”, I am not talking about traffic. I am referring to the problems BJ has created with retirement extensions. He has been hammering on farang retirees for a long time. Another child of privilege with the entitled “Thailand for Thais" attitude. If they can’t run us all out at once, they can make it difficult to stay here.

ONE 2000 baht fine about five years ago taught me a lesson. I have not missed a deadline since. I do not have money to throw away. The 90 day reports are nothing more than a way to collect extra revenue, since they know that a certain number of us will forget to report. It serves no other real purpose.

Very common here in Pattaya. I had a girlfriend who worked at a local restaurant and she told me that the cook was from Cambodia and another employee was Laotian. Both were being paid below the minimum wage.

You are correct in your observations. The world is a cruel place. Many of the people in charge of public welfare should be in prison. The sadness is too much to process. God help us all.
