  1. Lisa from Blackpink is almost virginal next to Taylor Swift. https://www.timesnownews.com/web-stories/entertainment/blackpink-lisas-dating-history-boyfriends-exes-and-rumoured-relationships/photostory/110475205.cms
  2. Yes, he was. But I don't think Trump cares that American lovers of EV vehicles have to pay double.
  3. It really doesn't. Trump was not even involved in drafting that. He has said clearly he will not implement it.
  4. That's a good point. But his hair was not as good.
  5. What's the price at the factory, also 30K or less?
  6. I have already said above this was a civil trial. As for the jury: The jury reached a unanimous decision on May 9, 2023, after deliberating for less than three hours.[130] Considering the preponderance of the evidence, the jury delivered a verdict that first stated that Carroll had not proven that Trump raped her. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Jean_Carroll_v._Donald_J._Trump The judge's legal acrobatics by referring to other jurisdictions' rape definitions where Trump was not accused, is outrageous in my view. This case is of course subject to appeal still, so we shall see if this judge's bizarre decision will be brushed aside or not. In any event, this incident happened decades ago, and the method by which the claimant "proved" her allegation of sexual assault is by "outcry witnesses", ie she told her friends after the act, supposedly. They put in witness statements to that effect. Almost impossible for a man then to prove those are lies.
  7. He's authentic. He has Charisma. He has courage. Far better than Harris.
  8. First of all, I am deeply sorry you were infected by this virus. I sincerely hope you make a full and good recovery. I support everyone's right to decide for themselves if they do or do not wear a mask, as much as I hate them myself. Whether you wearing a mask during a particular weekend would have prevented you from contracting Covid cannot be said with certainty. Even now, studies talk about 19 percent protection from mask for early strains, whereas later Covid variants could not be stopped by a mask. I do not know which strain caught you, obviously. The problem with mandatory mask wearing is that it causes an annoyance to those of us who do not want to wear masks. I had to go on a 12 hour flight wearing a mask. Now, I go on flights without masks, and still do not have Covid. So I hope you understand why I think masks are not wonder weapons, and they did impact my life, albeit in a limited way. Nevertheless, if you wish to wear a mask of course that is your right. Above all I hope you regain full health, as you are a contributor I always read with great interest.
  9. Okay, well, there is a defined meaning in law today. There would have been no doubt advisors would have told the decision makers how many would likely die as a result. In the end it was 1.4 million Germans at least, probably a lot more, often in the most tortured, brutal revenge kilings. Well, they killed 1.4 million Germans in the ethnic cleansing after 1945, so it was worse than Auschwitz, where 900,000 jews died. But yes, it is different to Einsatzgruppen systematically rounding up jews and kiling them, after 1945, it was the amateurs that rounded up Germans and tortured them. I agree, Churchill was flawed and he was undoubtedly a great leader. Also highly intelligent, more so than anyone in British politics at the time, courageous, creative, a man of action and valour. All these things I don't want to deny, Churchill was a very interesting character. However, he very much should be viewed in a similar light to Hitler and Stalin, even though these latter killed more people, Churchill killed millions, and was willing to kill millions more. Moreover, it was Churchill who prolonged the war in Europe, and who was instrumental in turning the war into war involving the US and Russia. He conspired to achieve this at every opportunity, for the simple reason that he knew Britain alone could not defeat Germany.
  10. The RAF bombed Wilhelmshaven on 4 Sept 1939, killing about 450 German. However, that can be seen as a "mistake" because the target were military targets, much like when the Luftwaffe bombed London and accidentally killed civilians though the targets were military in nature. However, as of May 1940 the British proceeded to "dehouse" German civilians, aiming to kill civilians from the outset. The day after the directive was issued (on 15 February), the Chief of the Air Staff Charles Portal sought clarification from the Deputy Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Norman Bottomley who had drafted it: ref the new bombing directive: I suppose it is clear the aiming points will be the built up areas, and not, for instance, the dockyards or aircraft factories where these are mentioned in Appendix A. This must be made quite clear if it is not already understood. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_bombing_directive Dehousing was a strategy adopted by the British against the Germans during World War II. It sought to maximize the damage to civilian housing. The strategy was proposed via a memorandum on March 30, 1942, by Professor Frederick Lindemann, Baron Cherwell, the British government's chief scientific adviser. The dehousing paper had been delivered to Churchill at a time of mounting criticism about the RAF Bomber offensive. Criticism was coming from other branches inside the War ministry and was becoming public. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehousing Interestingly, the entire premise of the Dehousing paper proved wrong, there was no lasting effect of the British terror bombing, no mass panic and drop in war production.
  11. April 2020 was not the "very beginning of the pandemic". The outbreak began in December 2019. So tell me, John, do you think the SAGE scientists were investigating the evidence for mask to evaluate the spread of Covid by touch? Of course they had figured out that it was spread via particles in the air, hence, the evaluating of the mask in the first place. What we have is the pre-eminent scientists saying the evidence for masks protecting you is very weak and refusing to mandate the wearing of masks in an urban or non-urban environment, except for very crowded places. I can tell you from personal experience, I have not worn a mask, apart from when it was mandated in planes and other times, and I did not catch the virus.
  12. SAGE stands for "Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies", it is the body that advises the government and has the best of the best scientists in it. These are the actual minutes from the SAGE meeting where the evidence for mask use was discussed by the top medics in the United Kingdom: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5ed1327f86650c76adc36f47/S0396_Twenty-seventh_SAGE_meeting_on_Covid-19.pdf
  13. Well pandemics are an issue that has literally plagued humanity from time immemorial. And people die during pandemics. That's not a reason for the world to lockdown and destroy the livelihoodsd of billions of people, destroy 2 Trillion USD of wealth and imprison people.
  14. Mask Myth Busted? New Research Reveals That Wearing Face Masks Did Not Reduce Risk of COVID Infection After First Omicron Wave https://scitechdaily.com/mask-myth-busted-new-research-reveals-that-wearing-face-masks-did-not-reduce-risk-of-covid-infection-after-first-omicron-wave/ "There is no evidence that general wearing of face masks by the public who are well affects the spread of the disease in our society," Jonathan Van-Tam, England's Deputy Chief Medical Officer, said at a government news conference. https://www.reuters.com/article/world/no-evidence-that-masks-worn-by-healthy-people-affect-coronavirus-spread-uk-off-idUSKBN21L2PZ/ 21 April. SAGE met to discuss the advice on face masks. The minutes to this meeting were published on the 29 May. 23 April. SAGE submitted their review stating the evidence is weak. At a daily briefing, Dr Jenny Harries, said the fact the issue was being debated means “the evidence either isn’t clear or is weak”. Professor Martin Marshall, chairman of the Royal College of GPs, also echoed this and told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “there was no research to support wearing a mask if you were fit and well, and there was even a risk of picking up the infection if people were constantly adjusting it and touching their face.” https://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/blog/mask-or-no-mask-a-look-at-uks-policy-over-time/
  15. And? Well, if Lord Sumption is right, that pandemics have always been an issue humanity has had to live with, and I think the evidence is more than clear on this point, then the overreaction by many, and we cannot excuse this as anything other than an overreaction, caused unnecessary suffering for millions of people, deprived them of their liberty, destroyed trillions of Dollars of wealth, private and public, and was an unmitigated disaster. All because some people were too afraid. Is this not the greatest tragedy we have lived through?
  16. Okay, thanks. Well, it's a varied picture, isn't it? In the case of cars, if a Chinese car manufacturer wants to export their EV vehciles into the US, they would do so by using their US incoporated dealers in America. It would then be these dealers, as the initial purchasers and importers who pay the tariffs. To the extent they are subsidiaries of the Chinese manufacturers, indeed the Chinese company would be paying the tariff. Though you can argue they may pass it on, history shows instead the Chinese have lowered the price, and tariffs have had little effect. With other consumer goods it's different of course, when Walmart imports Chinese consumer good that are subject to tariffs of course Walmart will pay the tariff and pass the cost on, that's true. However, Biden of course kept Trump's tariffs, so both Biden and Trump thought these were sound policies. Why? Because they do bring in great revenue into state coffers, and they do make products unattractive the government does not want to be attractive, and they do penalise manufacturers the government does not like. Even if the Chinese lower prices to keep their cars competitive, this hurts them. What do experts think? "Experts say tariffs on these products will likely have limited effects on consumer goods prices and economic growth. “These tariffs are very much on the margins, and the impacts on the economy will be a rounding error,” Bernard Yaros, lead US economist at Oxford Economics, told Al Jazeera." https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2024/5/16/who-benefits-from-us-tariffs-on-chinese-imports-experts-weigh-in I don't agree with this particular Trump policy, because it is clearly protectionist, and I would be in favour in forcing US companies to adapt or die. But I can see the logic, if you're a nationalist and protectionist, then it makes sense. Both Biden and Trump thought so. And so does Harris.
  17. That's a good question. I think masks bother me so much for a variety of reasons: 1) They are worn by fools, because at the height of the pandemic top medical advisers said there is no evidence for masks providing protection 2) It is absolutely abhorrent to look at, it's like those Burqa wearing people (and I have no issue if they want to do that at home), it's sinister actually. 3) You cannot see people's facial expression or how good looking they are, so understandably ugly people love wearing masks. 4) People throw their masks all over the place and it's pointless garbage. 5) Last but not least there is that totalitarian dictatorship experience we all went through with the pandemic, of which the mask is a symbol
  18. Sorry to break it to you, but action by government saved 0 lives, maybe you'd like to provide the evidence that 100 million would have died?. The lockdowns came much too late and were a giant mistake. As for your previous point, in the words of that greatest of thinkers, the unequalled Jonathan Sumption, former Supreme Court judge in the UK: "Human beings have lived with epidemic disease from the beginning of time. Covid-19 is a relatively serious epidemic, but historically it is well within the range of health risks which are inseparable from ordinary existence, risks which human beings have always had to live with. In Europe, bubonic plague, smallpox, cholera and tuberculosis were all worse in their time. Worldwide, the list of comparable or worse epidemics is substantially longer, even if they did not happen to strike Europe or North America." https://www.robertmenziesinstitute.org.au/institute-news/lord-sumption-a-state-of-fear
  19. Yes, hysterics. Mankind has lived through countless pandemics before. Nothing special about this one. The flu pandemic killed 100 million. We're still here.
  20. The reason is that Democrats want wars due to ideological fanaticism. When Conservatives opt for war it is generally a small contained serious dispute that leads them to war. However, the left is internationalist, and their nternational thinking , coupled with righteous moral mania and ideological righteousness, makes them far more dangerous.
  21. When I see people wearing masks I am reminded of the horror of this pandemic, people who wear masks, about which senior doctors at the height of the pandemic said they confer no tangible benefit, should really be dragged into a public square and humiliated by the public by the throwing of rotten eggs and vegetables. These smug mask wearing fools.
  22. What are you talking about, Taylor Swift HERSELF insists on putting her private life to the public and has made a career of washing her dirty linen in public! Her speciality is humiliating her exes and whining about her exes in her songs. She exploits her private life to make money. Hence we DO know she has hat AT LEAST 12 exes, though, indeed, you have a point Patong, I also suspect her body count is much higher, I would say 36 is a reasonable estimate. She is a party girl after all and has endless opportunities, background dancers (we all know Britney partook!), meeting celebrities at music events, actors throwing themselves at her, actually 36 maybe far too low. Of course her Gollum-like hunchback may end this debauchery soon, assuming her rel with Travis is real I don't think he will have much influence. Her manners are, by all accounts, excellent, but I'll give you a hint, if people throw 900 million Dollars at you, you might be nice to them too! Lol.
  23. First of all you explained the micro capitalist procedure quite well congratulations. I want to make clear that I do not support tariffs in principle because I believe in a free market economy. However, what lie are you referring to specifically?
  24. See, this is how history becomes lies. You quote this without saying that all this was done AFTER the British initated the bombing of civilians officially in May 1940. The Second Great Fire of London was of course payback for the carpet bombing the British had started in May 1940. You should state the full facts.
  25. I owned the Lexus ES300h, it had good driving manners, the only disconcerting thing is the dead quiet, you do not know if the engine is on just by ear. So quiet it is almost eerie. But driving was good, economical. No issues. I think the Civic is a great choice. Enjoy.
