The best dummy ticket for proof of return
Cameroni replied to Cameroni's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Exactly, so that might be preferable to you editing a PDF since I can not make up a verifiable PNR. The only downside these dummy tickets do not have the logos and QR codes, it screams dummy ticket from miles out -
The best dummy ticket for proof of return
Cameroni replied to Cameroni's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Ah, you were never asked, never mind. I just saw my old Thai Airways ticket has a ticket number and QR code, so if they would check that, which they could easily if they are from Thai Airways, that could lead to issues. -

Murphy's law, but it always worked when you amended the PDF? -
The best dummy ticket for proof of return
Cameroni replied to Cameroni's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
That would cetainly be an option. The only thing these dummy ticket sites check other flights so the dummy ticket is based on a potential real flight. I could check as well of course, but it is a time investment. But, yes I'm sure that would be a perfectly viable option because the Airline staff is unlikely to check if the fligh actually exists. They just want to see a ticket normally. I have fairly old tickets and if the airlines changed anything in the logo and that airline staff is aware of that it could raise an eyebrow -
What's behind the current THB strength?
Cameroni replied to KhunBENQ's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Chiang Mai has already correctly explained it in the first post, the market anticipated an interest rate cut because inflation was easing. That was the main reason for the dollar falling. If the dollar falls other currencies gain in value normally. Then there were a few other, less important, reasons, the BoJ intervention which strengthened the Yen leading to many long UJ traders unwidin their big positions, and therefore causing the USD to decline further, the crazy Israelis precipitating a regional war in the middle east and slightly unexpected US economic markers. There were a few others no doubt as well. As Lacessit said, currencies fluctuate, all perfectly normal. -

onwardticket.com, it's 16 USD and a slick website. They don't have Chiang Mai in the options but BKK so that would work. -

But why would Thiel be so keen to get Vance in? Vance doesn't espouse gay marriage or LGBTQ rights. He's hardcore family values, heterosexual family that is. So what would Thiel gain?

Thailand unveils new visa rules, sparks mixed reactions
Cameroni replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Only if the immigration officer is not aware of the rule that you can stay a maximum of 6 months in a calendar year on the visa waivers. This 6 month rule has no changed, has it? Though indeed most immgration officers would probably be unaware of it. -
That would be a heavy commitment to a front. Either way, he and Thiel get on really well. Maybe that is why Trump appointed him, to better tap the Thiel millions?
-
Well the fact he has kids, I just thought it would be unlikely.
-
What I do not get about Vance is that he is a protege of the gay billionaire Pete Thiel. He met him at a speech, Thiel liked him and suddenly Vance took off like a rocket career wise. But Vance is not gay. So Thiel selects men that are not gay as his proteges. The whole thing is very odd.

You will be charged 200 if you withdraw with the Wise card. However it is the best option. Think of transferring money to your bank account. Much more expensive if you pay tax. Wise is the way to go. I think with Wise you get a monthly allowance ie maximum amoun you can withraw for free. After that you pay fees, but very small fees. It is on their website.

Could not agree more. The overcrowding in Japan is not to my taste. It is the same in Philipines, people everwhere. When you take a flight you have to queue in giant queues. I mean I love Japanese culture, food, martial arts, yes please, great people, but to live with them, I do not want to.

So I have to fly out of Thailand and got two one´way tickets (out and back) with Thai Airways but as I rely on visa waiver my concern is that the Thai Airways staff in Europe will want to see a proof of return to allow me to board. My ticket is technically a one way Frankfurt to Bangkok. I saw that people use "dummy ticket" websites. Would they suffice to persuade a Thair Airways staff you have a return flight? Has anyone used dummy tickets with Thai Airways? Are they a viable option or do I need to pony up the 1900 Baht for an Air Asia fligh to KL I will not use?

Men dominating 'Women's Sports @ Paris Olympics'
Cameroni replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
It would appear that way. But it is interesting you say that, Caster Semenya did the same. She refused to be labelled "intersex", but rather claimed to be "another type of woman". This despite the fact she said she had testes. The reasoning of course is that male and female is binary, but there is more, us intersex people who identify as female, hence "non binary" or more than male´- female. This further underlines that Khelif is most likely akin to Semanya, ie an intersex person identifying as female and claiming the "special woman" status, or non binary. -

There is plenty of evidence Khelif is intersex: 1. She was found to have male chromosomes in a test by the IBA 2. She has freakish strength more akin to a male or an intersex person with elevated testosterone. 3. She looks like a man. 4. There is really no other explanation. -
BGC is the best place in Manila, you can get an Airbnb in Uptown residences and you would be central. There is good food there, but do not expect it to be as cheap as Thailand, it is not. As for food, deep fried fish, beef salpicao (poor people rendang), lechon, sisig are the highlights. Avoid any Filipino noodles, always overcooked. Cebu has some good Mexican and Italian restaurants. If you go to one of the islands there like Bantayan you can get nice beaches, but it is pretty dead. Boracay is now like Magalluf with better beaches, best avoided. As for the women, you will get some but be aware that Filipinas lie far more than any other women you will meet. They are also serial daters and at least 500,000 of them are outright prostitutes. Most women there are keen on extracting money out of you or a free holiday, which they will have many times before. Do not give them money for their sisters school fees or some such. Do not be a sucker. Pinalove will be your go to, but again, most women there are out for money so beware.

Lol, Bob, you should go to UK or Germany to see how appreciative people are there of immigrants. You're getting special treatment in Thailand and it's made you a bit entitled. It's understandable. In terms of medical fees, they are way lower in Thailand than in UK or Germany. You're not getting gouged on medical fees in Thailand. Foreign students in the UK or Germany however are gouged. Banking and dealings with government admin have been somewhat easier in Thailand than UK or Germany. Don't see how it's harder here. Try to arrive in UK with no visa and get an extension so easily. Won't happen. I find the ability to pay with QR scan, which is STILL not possible in UK or Germany, very convenient. Land ownerhip, yes, it's annoying and seems unfair, until you realise the economic disaparity would lead to Thailand being sold to foreigners like Palestine was if it were allowed without restrictions. But looks like Thai government are improving it at least a bit now. But you can lease for a lifetime or find other ways around the land ownership issue if you really want to build. PR and Citizenship are complex applications in every country in the world worth moving to. Criminals? Again way worse in Europe, feel much safer here. Yes, starting a business is expenive here, but then incorporation costs money in most places. If you support cast off wives with children that's certainly your decision, I'm not doing that and many people aren't doing it either. I would never date a woman who has children already. That's mate selection 101. Yes, it's true that many Thais have prejudice against Farang, but that's in every country in the world. Even Caribbean countries look down on immigrants. Tax, yes, again. Like everywhere else. But here too there are ways to mitigate this issue. I don't think Thailand is getting worse. It's getting better. Better internet, QR scan payment, even more and better events taking place all the time, better visas even, see DTV. Of course some things will get worse, but overall if you compare your complaints with other countries you will quickly realise how sweet you have it in Thailand. Thailand is the closest we have on earth to a paradise, for all its faults. Nothing comes close.

Not at all. Manila airport is by far the worst one anyone will have the misfortune to experience. Internet in Phil is terrible compared to Thailand. The food in Phil is certainly not fun. Try to find the western products you get in Thailand, you can't. Climate is way worse in Phil, rainier and more humid, not to mention typhoons and earthquakes. Filipinos are way more violent than Thais and more prone to scam and rip you off. Poverty is far worse in Phil. Some women have great bodies in Phil, but almost all have giant and crooked teeth. You see that much less in Thailand. Not to mention Filipinas lie like you would not believe and are totally untrustworthy. No, I disagree, Thailand has been way more fun than Philippines.

JK Rowling Supports Legal Fight Against Workplace Gender Police
Cameroni replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Unfortunately JK Rowling lost a lot of credibility when she went on a tweet rampage after the Khelif fight, calling that boxer a "man" repeatedly, when in fact it's an intersex dudette with a vagina and probably testes as well. Her LGBTQ opponents will no doubt crucify her for this error. -
Men dominating 'Women's Sports @ Paris Olympics'
Cameroni replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
It may well be that Khelif, like Caster Semenya, is neither a man nor a woman, but rather "intersex", basically a case of nature misfiring. Caster Semenya admitted she had testes and a vagina, but no fallopian tubes and did not menstruate. I suspect, Khelif, like Caster Semenya, also of a very male appearance, is a similar case. Now, just because Intersex people exist, and obviously choose to be designatd one or the oher sex, does not mean they should be allowed to compete against women. Obviously Intersex people are a very rare abnormality in nature, so unfortunately the Olympcs can not grant them their own category. But if they are allowed to compete in women's sports it makes a mockery of the competition and in boxing risks women's lives over and above normal boxing risks. It was tried with Caster Semenya to force her to take testosterone reduction medication to level the playing field, but she complained this ruined her life. And she had to be tested repeatedly, which also proved unpleasant for all parties concerned. Hence IOC don't want to do that anymore. But to just allow these Intersex abnormalities to compete with women is also wrong and should not be allowed. It's tragic for the Intersex people, but in the end we can not let abnormalities have a detrimental effect on the lives of the great majority.
