  1. Where do I lodge a formal complaint? I've been retired 6 years living in Thailand on 30 day visa exempt entries + 30 day extensions. Just when I do the right thing and get a non-imm O (retirement) and 12 month extension starting 14 July, they go and change the rules on 15 July to allow anyone to stay 90 days at a time and no limit on land borders... Only joking, much prefer not having to do a border hop every 90 days while hoping IO doesn't reject me for not being a tourist 😉
  2. You went and ruined a good factual post by yet again banging on about your unfounded opinion that 60 days visa exempt won't last. Sort of downgrades the rest of your post to just your opinion (rather than the facts it actually states)
  3. What are going on about. For months you've been asking very basic questions "for a friend" as you had no clue and now you're acting like an expert that knows for sure you can stay as long as you like on visa exempt entries. The visa exempt is still only for tourism so all an IO has to do is say you're living here rather than being a tourist and you'll be denied entry just like IO's always could.
  4. This is crazy. Clip shows baht bus at constant speed and the guy just went out the back of the bus. There'd be no one yelling at baht bus to stop as he is long gone at that same speed Looks like the guy just decided to step off a moving bus
  5. Cambodia and Laos don't use e-visa so you have to go in person to apply (Thai Consulate websites there also don't ask for proof of residence so anyone can apply)
  6. Does your mind have a different definition to 'live somewhere'. I 'live' in Thailand because that's where my condo and my possessions are and where I sleep every night. Nothing to do with what permission of stay I have and I have lived here on visa exempt, tourist visa and non-imm O.
  7. I paid mine at City Hall in May as soon as I got it but I thought we had until 31 August to pay (I paid in August last year and wasn't fined)
  8. It is not home county, it is current location with a follow up question requiring proof of residence in that country of current location. You would need to provide false information saying you are currently in a country you are not and Thai Embassies have following warning (and visa fees are non-refundable if rejected)
  9. Reports from where? What proof did they include in their application?
  10. Family of man allegedly stabbed to death in Thailand say they are 'heartbroken' https://www.9news.com.au/national/family-of-australian-allegedly-stabbed-to-death-in-thailand-say-they-are-heartbroken/7cc3446e-228e-4d83-af73-b4d25a703a5c
  11. As I posted in other thread Go back 3 or 4 months on this forum and there were a number of guys quoting that visa exempt had changed to two per year for Air as well as land because the Thai Embassies in Canberra and London said so. Was proven to be incorrect info and threads locked. Here we go again with the same Canberra and London Embassy source used to state the same "only 2 visa exempts per year" and we have people believing it again Here's an example thread of the false news from 2nd of May, well before the 60 day visa exempt came into play

  13. Will he do any? The American that killed an Aussie in a Soi 6 Bar in Pattaya a few years ago got off scott free, and he had a previous murder conviction in the States
  14. Why make up stuff? Every other increase in visa exempt had the word 'temporary' in the release with a definite start and end date. This one doesn't. Also to think this would end in 6 months, in the middle of peak season would be ridiculous.
  15. Just wondering, as Vlogger sites don't normally include their real name can we just link to your friends site and say it's us 😉
  16. Are you American? Should we expect to see you in the news soon when you get drunk and angry? All people that carry knifes to bars in Thailand should be arrested
  17. A non-imm O (Retirement) needs a minimum 15 days left on permission of stay to apply, so day 44/45 of your 60 day visa exempt will be fine (or day 74/75 if you get a 30 day extension) You then seed your 800k for first 2 months of your 90 Day non-imm O
  18. A post earlier said it was shown on local tv that the American went back to his house to get the knife. So pre-meditated
  19. You're not listening to what people are telling you. There's no risk for you as the two land border crossing rule is only if you used visa exempt, which you didn't.
  20. Yeah, don't know what to make of the new Nicky's. Still excellent food with good service at a great price...but they totally abandoned the British pub theme. It doesn't even have a bar so it does feel like a canteen and badly missing the English pub atmosphere that made it Nicky's
  21. It was always murder. If he went home to get the knife that makes it pre-meditated murder
  22. Did you not read the news article quoted in OP? Why are you making up a theory "What started as a verbal spat quickly escalated into a physical fight, during which Mr. Johnson allegedly drew a knife and inflicted multiple stab wounds on Mr. Ross."
  23. Why post this rubbish on here. Who cares what some random 'Youtuber' thinks? (Well obviously you do)
  24. First Class Visa still seem to be offering the same 3700 baht for their 6-seater VIP service from Pattaya https://www.1stclassvisaruns.com/
