Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not worth it for a 150 day trip as an Aus SETV is $60, while a METV is $300. SETV gives 60 + 30 extension + 30 exempt + 30 extension -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well it will be faster than the Canberra Embassy you said you were dealing with as they only accept application by post. I took the apply 4-8 weeks before as purely guidance as SETV is valid for entry within 3 months so why not apply early (4 weeks before is ok for me as I'd be stressing my flight if any later) I think the main rule is: "Upon receiving your application, it takes at least 10 working days to get a visa stamp, excluding the postage time" -
Visa exempt entry extension 30 days?
Pattaya57 replied to Hikage's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Go through the Sydney consulate for SETV. You can submit your application online, they then email to say pay $60 and send passport for stamp. https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/index -
This thread is confusing as to whether this applies to foreigners or not. I just received another App notification from Krungsi that clearly states foreigners are to attend the bank for photo before 27 June or transfers will be limited to 50k baht (it wouldn't let me take a screenshot) It did not say whether that meant just outward transfers (I probably won't bother doing it if only outward as you can still do 4x 50k transfers a day)

non-O visa through agents
Pattaya57 replied to thailandsgreat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Because Maneerat obtain a letter from Bangkok Bank saying 800k baht funds have been in bank for 3 months, even though there are no funds. That is what is fraud and illegal -

3rd visa exempt entry
Pattaya57 replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
"I have been in Thailand since October last year, with no visa, only visa exempt and the extensions at the immigration office" If this will be your 3rd visa exempt, how could you possibly be in Thailand for 7-8 months on 2 visa exempt entries? -
Is it OK to overstay by 2 days?
Pattaya57 replied to organicman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Unless he's caught before he gets to the airport, then banned from Thailand for 5 years as per current law (unlikely to be caught but is still there) -

No it's not, he's made a plan to overstay 2 days, he can still change his mind -

OP hasn't bothered to comment back so why care if he surrenders at airport and fined 1000 baht, or caught out and about day after exit stamp and banned from Thailand for 5 years ???? -
Has the TM30 been scrapped?
Pattaya57 replied to colinchaffers's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why you staying in a condo. Hotel does TM30 automatically so on immigration computer, so no need for screen shot / photocopy of TM30 -

Pattaya57 replied to colinchaffers's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No I never said they would skip TM30, I said if done by hotel and it is on immigration computer applicant does not need to have a copy of TM30 so they might not even know they needed it -

If you are to be believed you can never enter visa exempt with a one-way ticket, can never get a 30 day extension without a copy of TM30 approval. Both are proven wrong by many people. I have seen many IO at Jomtien actually call hotel and get them to submit TM30 as applicant had no idea what was going on. -

In Jomtien the TM30 room is very small so you can see lots of paperwork and hear lots of discussions with IO. I've visited about 20 times on last 8 years. Guess what TM30 photo copy is not required if your hotel submitted and it is on the computer. So that could explain why people think TM30 copy is not required when it was actually submitted? -
I had same saying I must go to branch before 27 June. It was coming everytime I logged in and then just stopped popping up about a week ago If required I guess us currently out of Thailand will be limited to 50k baht transfers out. Is transfers in also limited as that makes putting 800k in bank a bit hard?
