Thanks I'm looking it up now. Any suggestion on which type of battery would last the longest?
-
I intend to build some dummy alarm controls. So I will have a small box with a single red diode LED powered by a battery. I can find that an average 1.5V diode LED consumes about 20mA, and that an AA battery on average is about 3000mAh. Does that mean that I would have to change the battery every 150 hours, or are my calculations wrong? Any other suggestions how to build this and make it last long are welcome.

I think it even can make 10 liter of white coloured liquid, for the financially challenged

My current passport expires on March 8, while my extension expires on March 7. I have to do a 90 day report on February 7. For the past few years I have done my reports online. Since my embassy has confirmed that passport renewals take about 2 weeks, as advised by my embassy I intended to do apply for passport renewal at the very end of this month, so I could do extension renewal and move old visa to new passport about mid February. In the meantime I could still do my online 90 day report. But now I read that those reports may get rejected if your extension renewal is within the next 90 days. So that may cause an issue, because my new passport may not be returned before February 7, and going to immigration with a passport that expires on March 8 will also not the right solution I assume. So what would be the best procedure?

That's also what I started doing recently, so would be interested in where you buy and at what price. Currently have Diary Rich from Shopee at 220 bht/kg.

So since you say Songkran will last 1 month this year, banks will close 1 month? Try again

Please define generic. I assume that generic RAM still has a brand name, and a warranty. Probably even a company contact.

Yes you can't do anything about, because the platform doesn't care, and neither do the consumer agencies in Thailand. I have tried to report to the anti-online scam operation centre 1441, and after a 20 minute phone conversation with someone who spoke good English, I just gave up and hang up the phone. The amount of counterfeit goods on those platforms is simply rampant, and most people aren't even aware. You have seen the few examples I posted about the 1TB WD Blue that are sold at 500 baht, and that are just a few examples, but in fact more than 50% (I estimate 80%) of the listings are fake, and not just those that sell at ultra cheap prices. This is just one of the examples in my earlier post of a seller who sells 1TB for 423 baht, and look at the kind of reviews he gets. He sold 41 pieces so far.

No we are talking here about fake. Carried the brandname, shows up as the real brand in CPU-Z or in command prompt, visually the same as original. The only way I found out was by scanning the QR code. This was supposed to be a DDR4 8GB 2666 MHz module

Happened to me 40 years ago in my home country, luckily I had insurance that covered the damage to the shops on the floor below me. Since then I fitted a hose burst valve http://www.plumbingplustrade.co.nz/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=5238

Do you mean Google assistant? I don't think the functions of Google assistant are related to the price of the device

What's the best brand of frozen chips (french fries)
BenStark replied to Cardano's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Let me make a wild guess, you are an American? Frozen fries are made from potato, regardless from where they come. I only use frozen fries and have tried many brands, including farm frites, and I can taste a significant difference between them that would warrant a 100 or 150% premium price. So now I take the Aro or the Malaysian ones in the purple bag at Makro, depending on which have the longest fries in the bag -
And now welcome to my ignore list mr apologist https://shopee.co.th/Wd-โซลิดสเตทไดรฟ์ภายใน-SSD-สีฟ้า-4TB-2TB-1TB-SATA3-2.5-i.13181176.24405110316?sp_atk=3f43b5cc-5a18-4dab-8d90-a5affcac056f&xptdk=3f43b5cc-5a18-4dab-8d90-a5affcac056f https://shopee.co.th/-Instock-3D-Nand-Sata-Ssd-1Tb-Blue-Internal-Pc-Iii-6-Gb-S-E-3--i.266356953.22377583940?sp_atk=9d025dd4-b311-46c7-a0e0-4d09849b57cf&xptdk=9d025dd4-b311-46c7-a0e0-4d09849b57cf https://shopee.co.th/3D-NAND-SATA-SSD-1TB-Blue-3D-NAND-Internal-PC-SSD-SATA-III-6-Gb-s-SATA-SSD-Y-7--i.642825677.12999186507?sp_atk=19b195cb-becf-4339-94f8-086b019f8d42&xptdk=19b195cb-becf-4339-94f8-086b019f8d42 https://shopee.co.th/Ssd-3D-NAND-SATA-SSD-1TB-Blue-3D-NAND-ภายใน-PC-SSD-SATA-III-6-Gb-s-2.5-นิ้ว-7-มม.-มากกว่า-560-MB-s-3D-NAND-SATA-SSD-i.259844514.23708709200?sp_atk=1d77904e-ae74-40d0-b95e-f44b6c9f737c&xptdk=1d77904e-ae74-40d0-b95e-f44b6c9f737c

Well who say those fakes will fail? I have read a bit up on that subject over the past few days, and it turns out that RAM is something which rarely fails, and that is also the reason why those companies give life time warranties on RAM. You will not find similar warranties on other IT hardware, like SSD or USB sticks, produced by the same companies
-
I wonder why you try to defend those platforms, because i can show within 2 minutes at least TEN listings that are NOT the normal price. In fact all those listed by China sellers are at those prices
-
I'm talking about a WD Blue SATA, not an M2, and they are not a discontinued item. The price at the official stores are about 2500 Baht for a 1TB version, yet there are loads and loads offered on those site for less than 1000 baht
-
What you mean I got lucky? I knew what to expect from the beginning, as I had checked QR codes from pictures posted by other customers, so I knew they were fakes. So I also knew it would be no problem to get a refund I only wanted to know how perfect they were, and yes they were perfect. I had looked at several youtubes on how to detect before, and these were really perfect compared to what was shown in the youtubes.
-
Maybe you should try not to twist my words. If I send them proof that the serial number is not correct, then they have their evidence and there is no doubt anymore. Creating an algorithm that detects when a new WD Blue 1TB SSD is offered at 900 baht, would also be sufficient evidence that a counterfeit is offered
-
So entering the serial number on the manufacturer website, and been told that that serial doesn't belong to that product isn't sufficient evidence? It would be easy for them to weed out the fakes by just creating an algorithm that detects when an item is offered at 50% of the market price.
-
Getting a refund is not a problem, thought that was obvious from the OP, but the software tests don't show deficiencies, neither does it show that it isn't the brand that you ordered. The topic is, if they are so skilled in making perfect copies, could it actually maybe stolen or fallen from the truck original stuff?
-
I only wanted to call you out for what you are, and I'm glad that I'm on your ignore list, so I don't have too often read your replies.
-
The item I'm talking about in this case is Kingston RAM. When you run CPU-Z it will show manufacturer and Chip producer as Kingston. So how would i know which chips are actually used? And more important, how would i know they are decent quality. Running a MEM test is no guarantee that they will work properly for an extended period.
-
no Yes they do, I have provided evidence of counterfeit items multiple times to them, and nothing happens. They just play a game of we take feedback serious, then a few days later you get an email with the request to report it again, and so on. Months later the same sellers are still selling the same counterfeit items. By the way, more than 50% of SSD's and RAM listed on those platforms is counterfeit, and then I know only about those that have the evidence in the customer reviews.
