  1. That ship has already sailed.
  2. The police aren't police in Thailand, they are foot soldiers for the RTP mafia. They have no interest in enforcing laws, unless it benefits their leaders (Mafia Don's), they could care less about the safety of civilians.
  3. Nothing a few well-placed brown envelopes can't fix, TIT.
  4. The joys of living in a 3rd World country, not a single thing in this country makes any sense.
  5. If I remember correctly, the number one cause of child deaths in Thailand, reason why we started her in swimming classes at a very early age.
  6. Just of curiosity, by overpopulating the World, when do all these countries feel they will have fulfilled saturation? I mean governments seem to be basing the future on constant expansion of the human population, more workers to supply their expansion plans, so are basically acting like a viruses.
  7. I wonder if they realize what will happen if they hit a Farang in a Zebra crossing, or God forbid the child of a Farang, especially one us very violent Farangs. I highly doubt an entire police station could keep me from beating the driver to death right there in the street.
  8. Just another day in Thailand, redlights and STOP signs are nothing more than suggestions, and Zebra crossing are completely ignored.
  9. I assume they forgot to wear their luck amulets before heading out?
  10. One syllable is hard enough to get out when you are sitting on a barstool every day getting <deleted>faced, have some compassion!
  11. Sin City, it attracts the lowest of the lowlifes, but let them pretend it's a "family friendly" place......delusional, but it makes them feel better about their city of sin.
  12. Just looks like a moron behind the wheel, any proof of brake failure? I highly doubt it.
  13. Again, unless it reaches 37-38 to USD, then its not even worth thinking about.....the baht is still too expensive, due mainly to manipulation.
  14. All rational reasons to not invest in Thailand, keep your assets out of Thailand as much as possible. Don't buy housing/property, don't invest in any businesses, keep as little a footprint as possible, have an exit plan.
  15. The typical Thai Ego on full display (loss of face is crippling), at least they haven't started shooting at each other, yet.
  16. Until the repeat bad driver causes an accident that wipes out an innocent person(s).
  17. I remember those days in America, everything closed on Sundays.
  18. I understand sanctions, but putting everyone in the skies life in danger doesn't sound like a good idea. I doubt they are going to get rich with their airlines anyway, even the West can't do that without government intervention.
  19. I'd say his lack of training, lack of testing, and a normal teenagers lack safety awareness. He was setup to fail by his parents, and a society that snubs it's noses at safety, this is the outcome. Basically, no surprise here.
  20. Foreigners don't come because it's a "family friendly" place, they come to get stupid drunk, maybe get high, chase after younger women (or ladyboys), and indulge all kinds of perverted fantasies. These same people go home and brag about their stay and how it's a lawless society where anything goes, then the cycle repeats itself. I mean people aren't seriously deluded into believing that Pattaya is anything more than a World Class City of Sin, right?
  21. Most of the rich Elites live in the lowest-lying areas, so you'll get to watch them squirm first if Bangkok goes underwater.
  22. Thailand has the same amount of police officers per 100,000 that the USA has, where are they all, and what are they doing all day?
  23. Since 99.9% of the people who "can't live without alcohol for one day" are Thai nationals, it would be hypocritical to expect others to follow the same law they ignore.
