  1. Thanks guys , I figured as much, but I wasn't sure when they referenced the original Visa on the line before it.
  2. What date is used in the "I arrived in Thailand on" field? The original date I arrived on using the Visa referenced on the line before it, or the last date I arrived back into the country from my last trip?
  3. They usually leave the public sector for the private sector, or leave to other countries, mainly because of more money!
  4. Maybe they're like my wife, she just bought another condo, mainly for renting out (up to 4 now).
  5. Both are extremely dangerous fugitives with warrants for their arrests, but can't name them, or show their faces?! So, nobody knows who they are and they are free to travel around the world untouched, and under secrecy?!
  6. You would think it would be the first thing on every tourists list, last thing you want is to be denied access.
  7. Also, what is the average spent per year in Thailand by Westerners residing in Thailand?
  8. Agreed, I was looking for some quality Authentic Thai goods to bring back for friends on my last trip back to the USA, not much of anything worth buying, I settled on some high grade (i.e. costly) Silk Ties and Silk scarves, because the cheaper ones were poorly made. The only other thing I found many years back were some well made pottery up in Chiang Mai, but really there isn't a whole lot of quality goods made here.
  9. When I use Google translate on the original title, it says "crashed the engine" but not sure that makes any sense either.
  10. Just going to have to wait until the next generation before having another chance at meaningful change happening, by then all these dinosaurs will be dead and buried. For now it's a lost cause, think 20 years down the road, or move on.
  11. Wait, you can get permission to do this, from who?!
  12. Surprise! Surprise! Not really.......time to start thorough investigations of all wealth by RTP members, and by an independent body.
  13. Are these debts from buying higher positions? How much flowed to people like the General in the article above? The entire RTP should be investigated, every financial movement, every satang tracked. I'm betting we can find where all these billions of baht went, and to whom, time to clean house at the RTP starting at the top.
  14. That's like asking why Thai's buy BMW's, Mercs, Lamborghini's, Bentley's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, Submarine's......bragging rights, it's all about the bling here in Thailand. Even General (term used loosely) Prawit ran around with multi-million baht watches on his arm.
  15. Name one member of the upper-echelon of the RTP that is clean and got their without being as corrupt as the day is long.
  16. Out of the hospital and now hosting parties for his friends, what a recovery!
  17. Maybe, with any luck, he'll be appointed to the Privy Council. Then he can avoid any jail time like his nemesis Prayut, though he may have to wait in line behind Prawit.
  18. I was way healthier living in my small town back in the US, food here is questionable at best, toxins are a given, and stress is off the charts.
  19. Which is why the country should declare the last coup illegal, imprison for life the coup leaders and supporters, and remove all appointments to political positions made since. Then restart elections and move forward.
  20. Thai's are the masters of lying with a straight face, so I'm not surprised.
  21. I'd be more worried about what his wealth and private jets could do, but hey, illness and age means he won't use either to escape, OK. Or are parolees allowed to travel or leave the country at whim?
