California doctor claims spicy Thai dish left her with chemical burns
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I don't serve coffee to anyone. Yes, I drink my coffee within a minute of pouring it. I wouldn't buy lukewarm coffee from anyone, I expect it to be steaming hot. -
California doctor claims spicy Thai dish left her with chemical burns
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I always boil my water before making my steaming hot cup of coffee, which is the way I demand it......why would I want lukewarm coffee?! Maybe it's just me, but maybe she shouldn't spill it on her genitals and legs. -

You do realize America is bigger than one candidate/party, or even two, though the left and right seem to think that is all there is.....both sides seem to believe "you're either with us, or against us". The US needs a reset, hopefully back to life before the internet took over commonsense.

Thailand’s vehicle production hits the brakes in a sharp downturn
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A 42% drop in Domestic vehicle production is HUGE! That can't be good for anyone involved in the vehicle production industry. There will be some pretty big consequences for that to be true, expect enormous layoffs, and/or manufacturing plant closures. -

My wife and I ordered at a Thai restaurant in American, they asked us how hot 1-5, I ordered Pad KraPow Moo at level 3 and it was more like 4, my wife ordered a level 5 Papaya Salad (She figured this is USA not Thailand) and it was off the charts (She couldn't eat it). We later found out the cooks in the back were straight from Thailand, they took the numbers seriously....LOL -

Chiang Mai Condo Fraud Victims Demand DSI Action Amid Stalled Probe
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Mai News
Sticking to my original plan, spend as little here as possible, and own nothing here. I'll keep my money and assets in the US where they can grow without having to take huge chances on any investments here in Thailand. My wife likes buying condos, she is welcome to with her own money, not sending anymore of mine here for that purpose. -
Taxi Driver Arrested for Attacking Australian Tourist
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Between their driving skills, drug use, anger issues, lack of impulse control, weapons, etc.....I do everything I can to avoid using a Taxi in Thailand, from my past experience, 9 out of 10 them shouldn't even be allowed on the road.- 138 replies

California doctor claims spicy Thai dish left her with chemical burns
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I like most dishes here to be about 2-3 on 1-5 scale, the spiciest dish I ever had was in Chomphon, local fresh seafood dish loaded with what appeared to be raw Birds Eye Peppers. I didn't look before taking a bite, then my whole mouth was on fire, I can stand the heat, but it ruined the seafood. Not sure why someone would want blazing heat on a fresh seafood dish, but to each their own I guess. -

Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance

I would guess most Thai's would laugh at the idea of filing a Tax return, no matter how much they made. -
Police seize 68 motorcycles in Bangkok street racing crackdown
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I love seeing them laying down over the handlebars with their feet on the rear pegs and their head as far forward as they can get without a helmet, very aerodynamic, and much easier for a light pole to hit them where it counts. -

Thailand to Implement 300-Baht Tourism Tax Starting with Air Travel
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If it's not added to the airline fees which are paid ahead of time, then it will just becomes another headache that tourists don't want to deal with, especially as soon as they land, and all they want to do is just get out of the airport. I can only imagine the circus created at the airport or borders waiting for each and every tourists to find a way to pay this fee, or to load an app to do so. Plus, will these fees and ETA requirements be needed for longtime VISA holders every time we leave and return?- 133 replies

lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Smoking is sort of like farting, if it's not alright to fart continuously where you are, then it's probably not OK to smoke there either. Take your disgusting habit to some place where you and like-minded masochists can enjoy it.- 367 replies
