He entered the tracks in heavy traffic, he then got trapped on the tracks. You don't try crossing the tracks unless you can make it to the other side!!!! I see this same dumb logic used when there is heavy traffic and a Zebra crossing, you can't stop on a Zebra crossing either, you must wait to cross them until you can clearly cross to the other side. Proper drivers training before issuing a drivers license would help stop this idiotic behavior.

Don't look now, but there is another British drunk on BangkokPost who attacked two good Samaritans who decided to drive him home after he was refused taxi service because he was too drunk. I'm thinking the British need to work on their sobriety.

Doesn't look like the traffic cop was too happy, as this morning they put up cones down the center yellow line approaching the intersection to stop this type of stupidity. I hope traffic cams caught him and they pay him a visit.

My daughter is 8 yrs old now, still uses her Captains Style booster seat, she likes it better than the regular seats, and it makes it easier for her to sleep in on long rides. As you know, like you, I have a no travel without seatbelts rule that she sticks to as well.

It would be nice if they would publish these "accidents" showing if the riders were wearing helmets, are properly licensed, etc.

I don't usually take Taxis anymore, but when I do, about half of the seatbelts are disabled or removed. You would think the Thai government would mandate them in Taxis, and check to make sure they are working on a regular basis.....who am i kidding....TIT

Another reason to avoid mixed drinks or hard liquor while out, especially while vacationing in a 3rd world country, stick to beer in a bottle that you see opened in front of you.

Lack of working running or brake lights is the norm here, I see tons of cars with one out of 3 brake lights working, and even more motorcycles with no rear running lights. I assume these people have no idea how dangerous this practice is in Thailand, last thing you want to do is to drive with no running lights or brake lights working in Thailand (Suicidal).

Not good that the other diver did a hit-and-run, but sounds like she killed herself by changing lane position without looking, in what appears to be from the breakdown lane into a lane of traffic.

Met one yesterday (same shorts and T-shirt look) on the way back from picking up my daughter at school, I was stopped at an intersection with a traffic cop directing traffic. A BMW M5 pulls up next to me over the yellow line facing oncoming traffic next to my car (I'm like what?), I assume he was trying to cutoff the oncoming traffic to turn right into a parking lot that was there, NOPE! Soon as the guard gave the OK for traffic in my direction to move, he floors it into the intersection as we are moving forward, almost hitting the traffic cop/guard and the side my car as he cut me off. He then goes about 150ft and slams on his brakes in front of me and gets out of his car and approaches me (all 5 ft 9" of flexing gym ape - tattooed everywhere). Soon as he got to my window, I asked him "are you F&%King stupid?", he then sees I am not a scrawny 150lb Thai that he can intimidate, mumbles under his breath and then heads back to his car as I told him "learn how to drive you "F&%King idiot". Maybe he should go back to the Russia and head to the war front and show the Ukrainians how bad*ss he is.....LOL My daughter asked me "Daddy, why does he look like a monkey?" ......I almost died laughing!!!

I believe the exact comment he made was "I did not have sexual intercourse with that woman", technically ....correct....LOL

But you don't understand or believe a Thai could be driving dangerously and scaring her to death? I put more weight on her version of the story, than that of a Thai motorbike taxi driver.

Other than my wife, who got her license in the West, I am scared to death every time I am in any vehicle with a Thai driver.
