  1. They targeted military combatants/personnel, civilians got killed in the process, like all wars. Tell me, what military or government targets are the terrorists targeting? None, they are deliberately targeting civilians.
  2. People put too much faith in unverified certificates and guarantees.
  3. Nope, Muang Thong Thani here.
  4. Which I would think in the Western World would be picked up on inspection before a house is given a Certificate of Occupancy, or Electrical Inspection on a permitted repair work order.
  5. Which is why we need to list of those meeting the standards, a much shorted list, and no defamation involved.
  6. With the Chinese flooding the market with garbage, I'm not buying their figures for all the tea in China.
  7. That would be a VERY long list.
  8. The religion of peace at it again, they need to concentrate their attacks on military/government targets, and stop the terrorists attacks on civilians, they may find a much more sympathetic audience if they did.
  9. It's called Thai Buddhism, not to be mistaken for real Buddhism. Just another part of the "Thai Culture" that I abhor.
  10. Ah yes, just donate to the RTP Benevolent Fund, and all will be right in the world 😆
  11. All it will do is increase the amount of brown envelopes passed around.
  12. Now we know why, someone forgot to make the brown envelope thicker.
  13. What would be funny is if they did it by province listed on the license plate, since almost everyone has a "Bangkok" plate, or soon will 🤣
  14. Holy Crap! We must have had the same electrician, I had that same job done after noticing I would get electrical shocks from my new dryer. Same thing, a raw copper cable screwed to the concrete pad, in the same manner.
  15. Well this should go over like a lead balloon.
  16. In either case, the bike was completely on the other side of the road, meaning it was a really bad decision to cross or turn in front of the car. The weird part is that the story on ThePattayaNews states the car driver was arrested, which wouldn't jibe with what seems obvious, the car driver has the right-of-way.
  17. The joys of living in a third world cesspool, if there are qualified electricians here, then they must be uber-expensive and hard to find, because I have never seen one.
  18. I don't how anyone can feel secure owning land here, it doesn't appear that any land documents can be trusted, and the amount of corruption involved in it is shocking.
  19. The front of the bike is embedded into the front passengers side of the car, that was head-on. Nice to see the video though, whatever happened, more than likely happened at the intersection before the village. I would say the motorcycle tried to make a right turn into the road before the village.
  20. Who picked the selection committee, and who are they?
  21. There's one of those many ugly parts of Thai culture I abhor.
  22. How the heck do you crash into a stationary vehicle? Plus, are 3 or more people allowed on a motorcycle? If we go by the manufacturers safety notices in the operator manuals...NO! ....and let me guess, all three people had no helmets.
  23. It looks like a head-on collision, or possibly left side of motorcycle hit, and the car is on the far left side of the road. So, Ghost Rider? Unless the motorcycle turned right in front of the car to enter the Sirin Village, which wouldn't surprise me. I can't see any scenario here where the car would be at fault.
  24. When you take this news with the one I saw this morning on the BangkokPost, "Amnesty bills expected in December", you know where this is heading. Just a matter of time before the next coup, rinse...repeat. We are living in a powder-keg just waiting to be ignited.
